{ ELEVEN }

Baekhyun greedily grabbed Joori out of Jongdae’s grasp before realizing he was acting a little too possessive. He quickly murmured, "sorry", giving the drunk group of boys a small wave before turning around.

“Baaeek, you came!” Joori slurred, wrapping her arms around his torso. She looked up at him and gave him a lopsided smile.

“How are you feeling?” He asked, the edge of his lips tugging up into a half-smile.

She gave him a thumbs up before swaggering off to the side, making him hold onto her tightly. His face turned hot as the distance between them diminished, her body pressing up against his.

Before getting into his car, he wondered if he should take her home. What if her parents woke up?
"Where are your keys?" He asked, trying to find them in her bag.
He didn't know whether it was because she was drunk or if she was just being stubborn that she wouldn't answer.

“Um,” he hesitated. “Do you… Do you want to stay at my place?” He asked, wondering if he was coming on a little too strong. He wasn’t planning to do anything sketchy, but he still couldn’t help but wonder if this counted as taking advantage of her.

But to his pleasant surprise, she nodded and gave him another big smile.
“Are you sure?” He asked again in worry, but she gave him a droopy thumbs up.
He shrugged and helped her into the front seat.

He reached over her to buckle the seatbelt in for her when he heard her begin to giggle.
He looked at her questioningly, wondering what was so funny.

“You’re tickling me!” She burst out into laughter again.

He realized he had been resting his left hand on her shoulder while leaning in to help her with the seatbelt. He smiled and said, “I didn’t know you were so ticklish…” She had always seemed more on the serious side. Who could have known she was such a childish drunk?

“There’s lots of things you don’t know about me, Byun Baekhyun,” Joori said, trying to put on a secretive expression. “I am full of mysteries!”

“Like what?” He asked with an amused grin.
