A Dead Man's Diary{ THIRTEEN }
Joori sat in the library, tapping her pencil nervously. But she wasn’t paying any attention to her notes. Only one thought ran through her head – Baekhyun.
He had been acting awfully strange after that incident in his bedroom. He made excuses to avoid her. She had wanted him to come study with her today, but he had said he didn’t feel like studying on a Sunday.
That made no sense – she knew Baekhyun had better grades than she did considering he cared a lot more about academics. He was probably studying in his room right now.
It was his birthday tomorrow, and he hadn’t mentioned anything about a party or even a get-together. Was she not invited?
She frowned, feeling hurt and confused. They had been so comfortable, so close – she didn’t think one short awkward moment could have ruined everything.
What was most confusing of all was why she felt this terrible… She couldn’t focus on anything besides this issue.
It couldn’t be because she was attracted to him – she already entertained that thought. She liked Jongdae…

A few blocks away, Baekhyun sighed, looking at his phone for the millionth time. He hadn’t responded to Joori’s last text. ‘Why are you avoiding me?’
Sharp and blunt. Typical.
He couldn’t face her – not without wanting to kiss her and hold her in his arms.
But the worst part was, the more he stayed away, the more he wanted her.
She was like poison. He could finally understand Chanyeol’s greed for her.
He shut his notebook and took out Chanyeol’s diary from his bag. Why am I torturing myself? He wondered.
