Be Wise as Serpents and Gentle as one BoA

It's Not As Cool As It Seems

Be Wise as Serpents and Gentle as one BoA

ChoMin bit her bottom lips in nervousness. Her heartbeat rang loud enough the she swore she could hear it, and her nicely manicured fingers gripped the strap of her brief case with anxiousness. Her eyes scanned to her right, and then to her left, making sure the target ahead of her was completely alone. Trying to calm her nerves, she took a deep breath and walked forward, determined to follow through with her plan.

“Eh, NakMin-ah,” ChoMin called out, gingerly walking over to where JeeWoon’s older brother stood against the pillar of the college’s entrance. “I don’t think we formally met, my name’s Jung ChoMin,” ChoMin said sweetly, a smile gracing her lips. Inside, however, she nervously sobbed in a corner, begging for the anxious ordeal to end.

“Oh, yeah,” NakMin replied, offering a half-smile, “JeeWoon’s friend, right?”

“Neh,” ChoMin nodded calmly, although her inner fangirl jumped up from her fetal position and squealed over how hot and y NakMin’s voice sounded.  “I’m so glad you remembered!”

She giggled nervously, but what surprised her most was the soft chuckle coming from the boy next to her. “So, did you get the project Professor Shin talked about?”

            “Yeah,” he replied.

“Well, it sounds pretty hard, I’m just glad we can have a partner,” ChoMin baited. She waited for a reply from him, but when he didn’t, she continued on, “Do you already have a partner, NakMin-ah?”

“Yeah,” he said flatly, although he did have a small smile.

“Oh,” ChoMin said, trying to hide her disappointment. The whole reason for their little conversation was so she could ask him to be her partner – well that plan crumbled. Clearing she continued to make small talk, “JeeWoonie’s birthday is this Friday; does your family have anything planned? Or can I kidnap her?”

NakMin chuckled, to which, ChoMin couldn’t help but blush slightly. “If you want to; go ahead,” he said.

“Yah!” ChoMin stuck out her tongue, “That’s mean!”

“I’m just kidding,” he chuckled again, “Nah, we’re going to celebrate it at home. Wanna come over? It’ll probably make her happy.”

ChoMin gasps silently, her eyes sparkling with bliss. THE NakMin just asked her to go home with him. She was ecstatic! Blissful! “Sure! I think we’re supposed to go sing karaoke afterwards anyway.”

Both their eyes trailed after a cheap 2000 Hyundai Civic pulling up near the side walk. ChoMin recognized the driver to be one of NakMin’s friends from when she bumped into him at the internet café weeks ago.

“Ok cool,” NakMin said casually, “well, I’m gonna go now, my ride’s here.”

“Ah, araso!” ChoMin exclaimed, a little bit too eager for her own liking, “I guess I’ll see you around then! Annyong!!!” She raised her hand and waved excited as he nodded and stepped into the car. As he drove off, ChoMin still waved after him until the car was out of sight. She slowly lowered her hand, and in a giant burst exclaimed:

“OMG! I just talked to him! Eeeekk!” She hopped up and down with delight. With a bounce in her step and a happy tune, she made her way to the bus stop around the corner.

“I can’t believe you did that,” YooChun retorted, flicking ChoMin’s forehead. The green goo on her face rubbed off on his finger, so he wiped it on ChoMin’s shirt, “That is the spazziest thing you could’ve done.”

“Yah!” ChoMin exclaimed, pulling off the cucumber slices from her eyes. She glared at YooChun, who sat to her left. After a long day’s work, ChoMin and YooChun’s  late-night discussions always helped her relieve stress. They both rested their heads on the edge of the bed, trying not to smear the avocado masks onto her sheets. ChoMin somehow coaxed YooChun into trying the new organic exfoliation masks that her Seventeen Magazine swore reduced pimples and blackheads. “And what’s that supposed to mean?”

YooChun placed back his own cucumber slices and readjusted himself comfortably, “Eagerly waving after him like that was uncool. ChoMin-ah, as a guy, we find girls who show their eagerness as either desperate or easy.”

“Whatever,” ChoMin rolled her eyes as she began to wipe the gunk off her face. She threw a new  moist towlettes at YooChun’s face. “I still think I have a chance with him, so don’t ruin it for me!”

“Araso, araso,” YooChun pacified, wiping off the green gunk, “I’m glad you’re interested in other guys, that’s good for moving on.”

They finished washing up in silence, and threw away all the towlettes in the trash-can at the corner of her room before crawling on top of ChoMin’s bed.

Once comfortable underneath the covers, ChoMin asked with a mischievous smile, “Sooo, how are you and BoA unnie?”

YooChun adjusted the bed sheets so that it covered his waist; he faced ChoMin with his right hand propping his head up. Excitement and a goofy grin replaced YooChun’s sleepy expression. He always got like that whenever mentioning his girlfriend.

“Great,” he sighed, dreamily. “You know, I’ve always liked her – even in our training days. I got kind of jealous because of how close she was to JaeJoong.” He shrugged but then added urgently, “But I know they are just friends.”

ChoMin laughed, already knowing about BoA’s and JaeJoong’s friendship from magazines and online forums. She felt no threat, judging from how YooChun always told her exactly what he and BoA talk about in privacy. Every single last sordid detail included.

“So I guess we can’t flirt anymore then,” ChoMin teased, pinching YooChun’s nose playfully.

YooChun chuckled, rolling on top of ChoMin. He placed himself dangerously close to her, with his breath tickling her cheeks, and his hands pinning her arms to her side so she couldn’t move. With YooChun’s natural playboy self, he whispered to her with a smirk, “What BoA doesn’t know, won’t hurt her.”

ChoMin’s eyes narrowed dangerously as hidden strength gave her enough power to push YooChun off and kick him off her bed. YooChun landed on the floor with an unharmonious thud as soft pillows repeatedly smacked his head.

“Don’t you dare cheat on BoA unnie, Park YooChun!” ChoMin warned, glaring at him suspiciously.

“‘Unnie’? You haven’t even met her!” YooChun replied, trying to fight off the pillow attack.

With one final and hard swing at YooChun’s head, ChoMin dropped the pillow and stood on the bed with her hands crossed in front of her chest. “Park YooChun! If you don’t take care of BoA unnie,” she said with a smirk, “I’m going to steal her away from you!”

From his position on the floor, YooChun raised one eyebrow in skepticism and pelted ChoMin with her own pillow.

          “BoA!”

          “Look over here!”

“BoA! Can we have a smile?”

BoA smiled politely at the flashing cameras all around her as her manager and body guards pushed them away to clear a path out the busy airport lobby. The ruckus from the paparazzi egged on the ordinary people to take out their own cameras and camcorders in hopes of snapping a shot of the Korean diva. Everywhere she looked, the bright lights from the reporters’ cameras blinded her, so she opted to keep her sunglasses on and her eyes down-casted. What seemed like hours to her, they finally made it to their private van parked outside the Incheon(*) airport. She breathed out a sigh of relief as the van sped away from the nosy busy-bodies. BoA visibly relaxed, but couldn’t contain her excitement at being back in her home country.

Her manager, a woman in her forties, sat next to her and fiddled away with her Blackberry PDA cell phone. She asked the diva next to her, “So where do you want to go now? The hotel or somewhere to eat?”

BoA smiled and looked out the window at the setting sun, “Take me to SME.”

Dong Bang Shin Ki, in a rare moment of peace, loafed around inside their lounge in SM. After hours of recording their new songs for their upcoming 3rd album and promoting the release of “O Jung Ban Hap” for that Friday, the members were entitled to their rest. JunSu and ChangMin raced cars on the PlayStation, while YunHo and YooChun took a cat-nap on the queen sized bed, leaving JaeJoong to sit quietly, reading a book and listening to his IPod.

JaeJoong removed his earphones from his ears, thinking he heard a knock. Listening for it, he heard it again. Sighing, he placed down his book and walked to the door. He opened it lazily, surprised to find HeeChul, DongHae, and a girl behind them, to which JaeJoong couldn’t recognized under the large knitted-hat.

“Look who we got with us!” HeeChul smiled, revealing the girl.

“Surprise,” BoA said with a grin, pushing passed the two.

“BoA-ah!” JaeJoong exclaimed, wrapping his arms around his friend. Although they just saw each other about a month ago, he still couldn’t help but feel happy that his buddy from his training years and one of his very best friends appeared out of the blue. And besides, those 3 days in Japan while shooting for “O” didn’t leave room for them to hang out as much as he wanted to. “I can’t believe you’re here!” He spun her around as they both laughed.

“What’s with all the screaming?” JunSu paused his game, and both he and ChangMin turned around.

Big grins formed on their face.

            “BoA-chan!”

            “Noona!”

DongHae pushed passed the crowd at the door and walked happily to where YunHo and YooChun slept peacefully. With a devilish smile, he jumped on the bed, unceremoniously waking the two.

“Yaaaah,” YooChun groaned, hugging his pillow, “Get off of me ChangMin-ah…”

YunHo on the other hand, sat up and rubbed the sleep from his eyes. “It’s not ChangMinnie… DongHae-ah, what are you doing here?”

DongHae pointed to their guest and YunHo grinned, pushing himself off the bed. With a large smile, he walked towards his dongsaeng to give her a hug. Although technically she was his sunbae, it didn’t negate the fact that during their training days, she would call him oppa.

“Yaah~” DongHae whispered in YooChun’s ear, “Don’t you want to greet your girlfriend hello?”

“Shut up,” YooChun grumbled, trying to block out the sound of his voice. He wanted to be left to his peaceful slumber. “No, I want to sleep. Go play with Jessica or something.”

“BoA-ah!” DongHae yelled, “Your boyfriend doesn’t want to say hi to you!”

“Go away,” YooChun whined, trying so hard to block out DongHae’s voice. Couldn’t a guy have his peace and quiet after a long hard day at work?

BoA chuckled, walking over to the bed. She stood at the foot, with her arms on her waist. “I guess I should ditch him then,” she replied with a smirk.

“Muh?!” hearing his girlfriend’s voice, YooChun bolted up and was greeted by BoA’s smiling face. “BoA!”

YooChun smiled as he snuck a glance at their joined hands. It had been a while since he was so happy, and having BoA unconsciously rubbing her warm thumb against the skin of his hand did wonders to his ego. He watched as BoA laughed at one of DongHae’s jokes, and his smile couldn’t help but widen at that breathtaking sight. Sitting to the right of BoA was DongHae, cracking his childish jokes. And to the left was HeeChul cracking up at those childish jokes. The four of them continued on with their banter.

“Yah Kwon BoA, are you still Korean?” HeeChul joked, “You’ve been gone for so long I can’t tell anymore?”

All the guys laugh, including YooChun, but BoA winced as it hit just a little close to home. She knew that they meant no harm, but it was a sore subject and a topic brought up by many anti-fans. She looked at YooChun, expecting him to defend her. However, YooChun continued to laugh along with the guys, even contributing to the teasing. DongHae, the first to notice the tension in the air, laughed nervously and elbowed HeeChul, prompting him to stop laughing. BoA let go of YooChun’s hand and excused herself.

“Uhdeegah?” HeeChul uneasily asked BoA where she was going. He glanced side ways at DongHae, who gave him a shrug.

“To my manager, I have to talk to her about something,” she replied curtly before continuing on her way.

“Do you want me to go with you?” YooChun offered, wanting to be near BoA at all times. He moved to stand up and follow his.

“No, forget it,” BoA said with an icy tone and glared at him. YooChun immediately sat back down.

The three boys wordlessly watched as she left the room. HeeChul was the first to break the silence.

“What’s wrong with her?” he asked “Did I say something I shouldn’t have?” He looked at YooChun apologetically. “I was just teasing her; I didn’t mean to hurt her feelings.”

DongHae nudged HeeChul and said, “Hyung, maybe you should go and apologize to her.”

YooChun replied uncertainly, “It’s probably nothing; she just got back from Japan so maybe she really missed it here.” He wondered to himself, “I don’t understand what I did wrong…what was that glare for?”

“Maybe it’s that time of month,” HeeChul offered, trying to lighten up the mood. All three snickered, forgetting the tense atmosphere.

ChoMin slammed the door to her room in excitement. She couldn’t believe it! Kwon BoA was in Korea! In Korea!!! She happily skipped to her bed, where YooChun lay down dejectedly with his face in the sheets and his feet on her pillow. Normally, he would’ve gotten an earful from ChoMin about his feet, but she was in a too good of a mood to let it bother her.

“I’m so excited! I’m in the same country – the same city as Kwon BoA!” ChoMin beamed. She twirled around in a circle. “Omo! You have to introduce her to me YooChun-ah!” She glanced over her shoulder, noting the gloom surrounding her friend for the first time. “YooChun-ah?”

He groaned, and flipped over, staring vacantly up at the ceiling. “Aish! Why are girls so troublesome?”

“What’s wrong?” ChoMin asked, moving closer to him. She sat on the floor with her arms and head on the bed next to YooChun’s head.

“BoA’s giving me the cold shoulder,” YooChun confessed, sighing dejectedly. “And I don’t know why. She hasn’t responded to my texts or my calls since we left SM...”

            “What happened at SM?”

So YooChun gave her a recap of that afternoon with HeeChul and DongHae. He expected ChoMin to be on his side. He expected ChoMin to be as confused as he was. He even expected ChoMin to make him feel better. However, he did not expect ChoMin to slap him lightly on the cheek and roll her eyes. YooChun sat up, his right arm supporting his weight, while his left hand touched his cheek. In all honesty, it didn’t hurt; it was more out of reflex and surprise than pain. “You-You slapped me,” he said stated.

“For being hailed as a ‘playboy’,” ChoMin remarked, putting emphasis on ‘playboy’. “I can’t believe you don’t understand a girl’s feeling.” She shook her head at him, but sat down beside him.

“What do you mean?” inquired YooChun, staring at ChoMin expectantly.

“Look,” ChoMin started, glaring slightly at YooChun, “BoA-sama’s(*) anti-fans always bring that up when they bash her. You know how vicious anti-fans can get – they always rag on her, saying she’s not even Korean because SM has her in Japan all the time. She didn’t need you, her boyfriend, to remind her of what everyone else says about her. If I was her, I would have wanted my boyfriend to defend me.”

YooChun nodded, understanding ChoMin’s words. Inside, his stomach knotted. He knew he was insensitive towards his girlfriend when he had laughed at HeeChul’s joke. YooChun only wished he could somehow make it up to BoA. He stood up from the bed and smiled thankfully at ChoMin.

“Thanks,” he said softly, before opening the door. “I have a mid-night snack date with Su right now. I’ll see you in the morning.”

ChoMin chuckled, fantasizing about that secret YooSu event. “Good Night,” she replied, looking for her homework in the pile of papers on the floor as YooChun closed the door behind him.

ChoMin placed down her pencil and stretched her arms over head. She rolled her head trying to remove the kink in her neck from hours spent bent over typing. She stifled a yawn as she emailed her Chemistry project to her professor. Ever since DBSK came back from Japan a month prior, they have been busy with activities non-stop - and that carried over to their fanclub. ChoMin, as well as the other Cassiopeia members have been meeting up 3 times a week for 6 hours to practice their dance routine.

BongCha, to ChoMin’s surprise, managed to work out a deal with SM in which Cassiopeia would be background dancers for DBSK’s new song ‘Balloons’ and as a trade off, the fan club members would work as on-call assistants around the set for free. At first she was ecstatic to be in a music video, even if she was in the background, however juggling Cassiopeia meetings, college classes, as well as catering to DBSK, began to take its toll on her. Sleeping and eating became a luxury, and she usually found herself too busy to do much else than her work. Of course, her nightly discussions with YooChun were the exception.

ChoMin groaned as she realized that BongCha would start to demand more from them as the day the music video shoot came closer and closer. Reading 9:30 on the wall clock, ChoMin leisurely walked toward the kitchen while putting on her pink apron, and began the preparation to make dinner for her favorite idols. She received a text from JunSu earlier, saying that they wouldn’t be home for dinner, but that if ChoMin could “pretty please be awesome and bring him food anyway”. ChoMin chuckled as she recalled JunSu’s text, saying that “nobody in SM cared if they die of starvation or not”.

She shook her head and focused on the meal at hand. Cooking was hard work, especially for someone who learned late in life – but when she finished, she became pleased with herself. The light dinner consisted of finger sandwiches, kimbab(*), and various other side-dishes. She placed it all inside a red lunchbox and left the apartment.

ChoMin took the bus to the SM Entertainment building and headed for the lounge area, humming the melody of ‘Hug’ and swinging the red lunchbox back and forth. It was already 10:30, but she was sure they would appreciate a small break. To her surprise, the members of DBSK were not in their usual spot. Knowing that they were practicing their choreography for ‘Balloons’, she figured they were probably at one of the numerous dance studios on the level. Rounding the corner, she heard loud, childish music coming from one of the practice rooms.

Peeking in, she saw her cousin and his group members goofing off. YunHo and YooChun wrestled ChangMin on the floor as JaeJoong and JunSu played ‘rock-paper-scissors’.

“So much for practicing,” she mumbled to herself as she walked into the room. It was refreshing to see the usually work-obsessed men in her life, relax and become kids again. They hadn’t noticed her until she inquired, “What are you guys doing?”

“Oh, we were just…practicing,” YunHo cleared his throat, a little embarrassed, “Did you bring food?” YunHo tried changing the subject as he untangled himself from ChangMin’s limbs.

“Yes I did and I have to say I am proud of myself,” ChoMin bragged as she walked toward the five hungry men.

She suddenly halted in her tracks and turned her head, staring at the beautiful and talented Kwon BoA. BoA sat on the window seat towards the back of the studio, amused at the unfolding scene. Her long straight hair was up in a messy bun, and she wore a cute green baby doll shirt over faded skinny jeans. A long tear-drop pearl necklace looped around her delicate neck accenting her wardrobe.

ChoMin dropped the lunchbox and squealed, “Oh my god, BoA-sama! I am such a big fan! I can’t believe it! It’s Kwon BoA!!”

“MY FOOD!!!” ChangMin cried in horror, “YOU DROPPED IT!!!”

“What are we going to eat now?” JunSu complained as he glanced at the forgotten lunchbox on the floor.

ChoMin shrugged at their comments and glanced back at the lunchbox. “Stop complaining, it’s just a little messed up, it’s still edible,” she said, turning her attention back on BoA. Her eyes literally sparkled as she couldn’t believe she was in the presence of BoA. “I love all of your songs, YOU ARE MY IDOL. I especially loved the theme songs you did for Inuyasha,” ChoMin prattled on excitedly, “Inuyasha is my first love…”

BoA smiled at the forward girl. “You like Inuyasha too?” she asked. Not many people knew, but one of BoA’s guilty pleasures was watching the lovable half-demon potty mouth. And she couldn’t help but get really into the conversation with her strange fan.

“Hey, what about us?” YunHo whined “I thought we were your idols…actually I thought I was your idol.”

“Well Oppa…you are, you are…” ChoMin said in a patronizing voice, but turned her attention back to BoA. “But it’s Kwon BoA.” She sat next to BoA on the window seat, and faced her. “BoA-sama, what did you think about…”

BoA couldn’t help but smile at the girl before. She had never met someone who acted so casual while being star-struck. On some level, she felt pride in the fact that this girl would rather pay attention to her than to Korea’s five most sought-out bachelors.

“But I’m your cousin…we’re blood-related,” YunHo sulked, “Blood ChoMin-ah, blood. How can you ignore something like that? How?”

“Hmm? Oppa what did you say?” ChoMin asked, distracted, “I was talking to BoA-sama.” She turned back to BoA with a smile, “What was your favorite episode…”

BoA stifled a chuckle as ChoMin continued to pay no mind to her cousin, while YunHo pouted like a little boy.

“Hyung, do you think we should invite them to eat with us?” YooChun asked YunHo.

“Ani, I don’t want to get in between a fangirl and her idol,” YunHo grumbled. “BoA-ah! You took my beloved dongsaeng!”

“Hyung, its okay, we all feel the same way,” JunSu said nodding his head with sympathy.

“Aish, Hyung are we not going to eat?” ChangMin badgered them in irritation. “I’m going to eat your food.”

“Araso, c’mon Honey let’s leave the two ‘lovebirds’ alone.” JaeJoong gently pushed YunHo toward the exit.

As he was toward the door, YunHo pointed at ChoMin and warned, “Yah, Jung ChoMin how can you do this to me, we’ll talk later.”

“Hyung, stop it, you’re embarrassing us,” YooChun said, mortified at their leader’s immature behavior in front of BoA. He then turned around and winked at his two favorite girls, “I’ll be back in a few minutes,” he said to BoA, then turned to ChoMin, “You got five minutes, see, I told you I would introduce you.”

As BoA and ChoMin watched them drag YunHo out the door and toward the lounge, BoA shook her head in disbelief. “Are you sure you don’t need to go with them?” she inquired with a chuckle.

“It’s okay, he’s just being childish,” ChoMin sighed, but smiled. She didn’t know her Japanese idol enjoyed watching Inuyasha as well; ChoMin could talk about that topic for hours. However, ChoMin filed away that conversation for another time and focused on what she really wanted to ask BoA.

“Anyway… if you don’t mind…Can I ask how you got together with YooChun?” ChoMin asked cautiously, not wanting to make BoA uncomfortable by being overly friendly.

“Yeah, it’s fine, but I’m surprised he hasn’t already told you,” BoA said, giving ChoMin a knowing look.“He’s got a big mouth.”

To be honest, BoA didn't feel too put off by ChoMin. In all her touring, she's met many ecclectic people, and ChoMin is mild compared to a lot of them. And she felt like she already knew the young girl, with how much YooChun and even sometimes JaeJoong always mentions her.

“I know exactly what you mean, he tells me every detail about what you guys do together,” ChoMin sighed, “He mentioned that he’s liked you since his trainee days, but that’s all.”

“Well, I didn’t like him at first, because everyone told me he was a lady's man that had several girlfriends,” BoA explained, and then shrugged. “But then I got to know him and I realized that he was a sweet guy.”

“Pffttt” ChoMin scoffed, “Yeah right a 'lady's man', he doesn’t even see when his girlfriend’s feelings were hurt.”

“I guess he can be pretty dense sometimes,” BoA said not surprised that ChoMin knew. “Although, he’s taking me out in a bit to make up for it,” she giggled.

ChoMin giggled as well, but then nodded in agreement, “Seriously, him and his big mouth.”

“Speaking of Chunnie’s big mouth,” BoA started. “He told me about your complicated love life.”

“Well that’s no surprise. Did he tell you everything, everything?” ChoMin emphasized. When she got home, she was so going to murder that big mouth YooChun in his sleep. How could he tell her secrets just like that? She felt embarrassed and worried that BoA might think badly of her. She sighed. “JunSu, NakMin…JaeJoong?”

“Yes, I’m sorry if you wanted it to be private,” BoA apologized in place of her gossipy boyfriend.  She felt a little guilty for knowing everything about this girl’s love life. In some weird way, she felt as if she’d known ChoMin for a long time, just because of all the stories YooChun told her about.

“I’m kind of everywhere, aren’t I?” ChoMin mumbled, looking down. She felt really embarrassed and feared BoA’s judgment of her.

BoA placed a comforting hand on ChoMin’s shoulder. Honestly, she didn’t really care who ChoMin liked or didn’t like; she felt the younger girl was entitled to like whoever she wanted. In fact, BoA could remember a time when she was just like ChoMin when it came to love.

“I really like JunSu oppa…as a friend,” ChoMin admitted, “NakMin is my best friend’s older brother and he’s my type-I’m really attracted to him.” She paused, biting her lip and looked away. “As for JaeJoong-sshi…He’s the one who rejected me and kind of broke my heart…” ChoMin continued on about how she felt about them as BoA listened attentively.

After everything was let out and ChoMin felt a huge weight lift of her chest, she sat back and looked at BoA expectantly. The older girl sat in silence, quietly analyzing all the information she acquired.

ChoMin sighed, not really knowing why she felt compelled to tell the older girl her problems. Maybe it was the fact that she was around only guys so much, she kind of jumped at the chance at having proper girl talk without any secrets. Sometimes it was not enough to pretend YooChun was a girl sometimes.

“I know you don't have feelings for JunSu and I don't really know who this Sohn NakMin is,” BoA started and looked intently at ChoMin with a smile, “but I do know JaeJoong well enough.”

“But he said he'd always pick music over love,” ChoMin started, not really understanding BoA’s knowing look, “and he...”

“He really said that?” BoA asked, not really believing it, “Hmm, that doesn’t sound like him. He was always complaining that he could never find a girl.” She smiled once more.

ChoMin was confused. “I don’t get it,” she confessed. She was pretty sure JaeJoong meant what he said that night.

“It seems to me that you confessed to him at the wrong time,” BoA said, “It’s only been a few months since you met, right?”

The younger girl nodded slowly, still not understanding the older one. BoA smiled and winked as she held up a finger to make a point.

“Persistence is key,” she said, then added, putting her finger down, “But I'm not saying that you should throw yourself at him, no.” She chuckled, flipping her hair, “If you still love him like you said you do, maybe you shouldn't give up just quite yet?

At that moment, YooChun walked into the room with a big grin on his face looking at BoA expectantly. BoA looked up at him and smiled. She turned to ChoMin and said winked, “I have a date now. Just think about what I said.”

ChoMin and nodded and waved them off. Before they left the room, YooChun turned his head and said to ChoMin, “ChoMin-ah you better go down to the lounge, YunHo hyung is still moping around because of you”.

“Oh all right, but are they still eating?” ChoMin asked patting her stomach. “Because I’m actually quite hungry.”

“Yup, there’s still some food left, but you should hurry or ChangMin might eat it all,” YooChun joked.

“Yeah okay, have fun on your date,” ChoMin wished them well before they exited. She sat in silence for a while, thinking back on BoA’s advice. When her stomach grumbled in protest, she decided she’d think about it after she ate.

ChoMin walked toward the lounge and immediately bit back a snort as she saw an inconsolable YunHo.

“JaeJoong-ah, why does she hate me?” YunHo said clinging and clasping onto JaeJoong. JaeJoong patted him on the shoulder and tried to get him to eat.

JunSu watched YunHo and stated, “Hyung, she never said she hated you, just that she like BoA better, and then she ignored you.”

JaeJoong glared at JunSu with an expression that said, ‘You’re not helping’.

ChangMin sat at the table and ate quietly, thinking to himself, ‘What is wrong with him?’

ChoMin stared at her ridiculous, overprotective, and doting cousin, and heaved a sigh. “Time for some damage control,” she muttered under her breath.

“Oppa, why are you crying?” ChoMin asked as she walked up to the 4 men staring at her and continued, “Who made you cry? I’ll beat them up for you.”

“Finally, what took you so long!?” All three dry-eyed men exclaimed.

“ChoMin-ah, what are you talking about it was you,” YunHo pouted and ignored the other three. Then he glared, “And I’m not crying. Don’t exaggerate.”

“Me, I would never make my favorite cousin cry,” ChoMin said pretending to be shocked at the accusation.

“ChoMin-ah do you like me or BoA better?” YunHo demanded.

“Of course I love the wonderful U-know YunHo more…I mean who wouldn’t,” ChoMin gave him an exaggerated wink. “I just said that so BoA unnie wouldn't feel bad.”

“Really? I knew it,” he said with a grin, as he suddenly felt his appetite come back.

“Unbelievable, this is our leader,” ChangMin muttered. JaeJoong heard him and slapped him back-handed on the arm, prompting the maknae to hold his hands up as if to cry out ‘what did I do?’

ChoMin watched with a content smile as the members bickered good naturedly amongst themselves,  She loved it when they goofed around with each, because it made her feel special to see a part of their lives that others were not privy to.

Once everyone finished eating and said their good byes, YunHo dropped ChoMin back to the apartment and explained that they would have to stay over at SM to finish some tracks. Before she stepped out of the car, she gave her Oppa a big hug and kissed him on the cheek.

“Even though YoungWoong JaeJoong is my favorite Dong Bang Shin Ki member,” ChoMin started, giving her oppa the cutest and brightest smile she could muster, “You’ll always be my most favorite person, Jung YunHo.”

Notes:

Incheon Airport – according to Wikipedia, this is “is the largest airport in South Korea, the primary airport serving the Seoul national capital area, and one of the largest and busiest airports in the world.”
BoA-sama/BoA-chan –are Japanese honorifics. ChoMin calls BoA sama because she is totally in awe of her and respects her. Anime otaku tend to do that when talking about their idols. JunSu used chan  to show that he and BoA are close as friends
Kimbap – korean style sushi

Sooo.... it's been about a year since I last updated this =.= I guess you all want to throw stones at me for such a late update. But I hope you enjoyed it~ It is sort of a filler, but I thought it showed some character growth as well as introduce the amazing BoA! =D

Until next time! =D
