chapter two ; in your arms

»On this long night, we spend more time apart than in love.

-Day and Night; T-Ara

It is his funeral day. I look at his coffin with a sad look. These days, I’ve never smile to anyone, even to my parents. And they always say the same thing, he will be fine. But not for me. Without him by my side, it’s a hopeless world.

A drop of water falls on my face. I look up to the dark and cloudy sky. It’s going to rain soon and it’s going to be a sad and gloomy day. Goodbye, Oh Sehun. I’ll remember you forever. Rest in peace, my dear.

Finally, the funeral ends. I still with Luhan and Kai at the cemetery. It is raining. Kai holds my hand tightly.

“Let’s go.” he says and we off to our car. Suddenly, I can feel like I’ve been eyed by someone. I look back at his grave. My eyes widen. It’s him! Sehun oppa. He’s smiling and waving at me. Am I imagining stuff? I rub my eyes couple of times. Yes, he’s still there. Now, he’s walking to me. Sehun wears a white, clean tuxedo. He then curves the sweetest smile to me. How I really miss that smile. Tears fall from my eyes again.

“Sarang-ah, are you going or not? It’s going to rain really hard.” Luhan says while covering my body with his umbrella. I look at him with my sparkling eyes.

“Oppa! It’s Sehun oppa! He’s here! He’s not dead yet.” I say like a crazy girl. Luhan frowns while Kai shakes his head.

“Sarang, you’re imagining things. He’s rest in peace right now. Come on, let’s go.” Luhan grabs my hand but I refuse. I look at Sehun who is still standing in front of me.

“Sarang-ah, go ahead with Luhan hyung and Kai hyung. Don’t worry; I’ll be with you forever.” Sehun whispers to me. I nod my head. Did I see him or I just imagine stuff?

That night, I can’t close my eyes even for a minute. I stare blankly at the ceiling. Suddenly, there’s a knock on the sliding door. I frown. Who will it be? There’s no staircase outside at the veranda. I can see a shadow at the veranda. Then, the sliding door slides open. I quickly hide under my bed. My hand grips a metal rod. Oh, please. I don’t want bad things happen.

“Sarang-ah, where are you?” my eyes open widely. I know that voice. No, it can’t be him. He’s dead but I saw him today, smiling and waving at me before I left the cemetery. I slowly creep out from my bed. Then, I bump into a person’s legs.

“Ouch.” I say while rubbing my head. I look up. No way! It’s really him!

“OPPA!” I scream and hug him. He chuckles and pats my head. I look at him with my teary eyes. Finally, tears of happiness fall from my eyes. I miss you so much!

“I miss you too, honey.” he says and kisses me on my cheek. I blush. We stay like that for couple of minutes. I feel like I don’t to let go of this hug. I feel save in his embrace.

“Sarang-ah, I’ve to tell you something.” I look at Sehun and slightly nod my head. Tell me whatever you want to tell me.

“I can’t marry you even though you can see me right now.” my smile fades away. I look at him with a question face.

“Sorry, dear.” I break the hug and look at him. He smiles and kisses me again. I know what he meant. I know that it’s impossible to marry him.

“But you promised to me that you will marry Me.” he curves a smile again. Then, he grabs my hand. The world suddenly turns dark and black. I can’t see anything except a small light in front of us. We’re heading the small light and it becomes bigger and bigger as we approach it. My eyes squint because of the bright light.

“Don’t be afraid. Just open your eyes.” he orders. I slowly open my eyes. My jaw suddenly drops. We are at a very beautiful place or garden. He lets go of my hand. But oddly, we’re flying. Are these some kinds of magic? He lands on the ground gently. I do the same as him and slowly land my feet on it.

“Where are we, oppa?” I ask.

“I can’t tell you where we are right now.” he flashes a smile. I pout and cross my arm. He won’t tell me but this place is seriously beautiful. We spend our time at the beautiful garden. I’m sorry I can’t explain my feeling when I’m with him. It’s like I’m having a dream. The best dream ever!

Hours later (I guess), Sehun and I sit under a tree. He plucks some red apples and gives it to me. I take a bite on the apple that he gave. It is so juicy and sweet. I plaster a smile on my face and rest my head on his shoulder. He holds my hand tightly.

“I wish we can stay like this forever.” I smile. Yes, I hope we can stay like this forever. Sehun brushes my hair away from my face. I feel so save and a bit sleepy.

“Are you sleepy?” he asks. I shake my head as a no. I don’t want to sleep yet. I want to be with you forever.

“No, oppa.” unexpectedly, I yawn. He chuckles and pinches my cheek. I send him a glare.

“I told you not to pinch my face.” he ruffles my hair affectionately and kisses my cheek.

“I know but it will be the last pinch I give you.” I look at him with in disbelief. Oppa, are you playing or fooling around with me?

“Never mind, just close your eyes and sleep. I’ll be with you.” he says and still ruffling my hair tenderly. I shut my eyes and finally, I fell asleep.
