Chapter Forty Two
You and Me: We're Dorm BuddiesL.Joe crept out into the hallway, sliding his hands into his pockets. He stood in the middle of the corridor, eyes averted to room 143. His footsteps were heavy, marked with a feeling of contemplation. He managed to stand in front of the door, feeling the trembles in his chest.
He gave a light knock on the white door, eyes down casted to the ground. He lost the one he loves.
He almost did.
The glass bottle didn’t prick right through her. The shard hung loosely off her skin. The image of her suffering embedded deep in his mind. His heart wept at the thought.
The three familiar faces of room 143, greeted L.Joe. They watched him, not uttering a single word. The atmosphere darkened. It was never easy. It has never been easy for them to control their emotions. Physical fight might break out. Their feelings might fall apart. Myungsoo stared directly into L.Joe’s eyes. His stare could possible slit the heart of the beholder. He extended his hand, fingers curled into a ball. Myungsoo has the urge to land a bruise on L.Joe’s face. Instinctively, the other two stopped him. He withdrew, eyes never leaving L.Joe’s. Rage loomed his face, thinking how a life could have been lost. News about Park In-Na has travelled to the dormitories. Her true identity has been revealed to the respective boarding schools. News about her near-death accident created different reactions. Some in despair. Some were confused. Some took it as an act of bravery.
“How can I help you, L.Joe?” Woohyun said, drifting his gaze to the smaller-built male.
“In-Na’s belongings,” L.Joe replied, monotonous. “I’m here to get it on her behalf.”
“What did she leave behind?” Sungyeol said, genuinely confused. “Apart from her boy-clothes and books, is there anything important?"
“There is.”
“Leave her things here!” Myungsoo growled, stopping L.Joe from moving a step forward to their bunk beds. His patience were wearing thin.
