What Have I Done?
If Only...Donghyun's POV
I woke with a pounding head, aching jaw and virtually no memory of the night before. So you can imagine the surprise I felt when I found myself sprawled on the floor and saw faint bruises starting to form on my wrists. Then it all came flooding back. Ugh, what have I done?
3rd Person
Donghyun grabbed his hair forcefully and clawed at his face at the memories of the night before. The way Minwoo weakly tried to push him off him, the trembling of his voice begging him to stop and the tears in his eyes and the terror on his face. The images tortured him but they didn't stop. The guilt wrecked him. He didn't know how he could ever do such a thing, it felt like a dream. He wished it was a dream, but the bruises on his wrists told him differently. He pulled himself to his feet and slowly made his way over to the mirror. He was met with a ghastly sight. His eyes were bloodshot, his hair a tangled mess, his clothes were in disarray, his shirt lying in a corner and there were dark circles under his eyes. There was awful bruising appearing on his jaw line from the punch he received yesterday and he could see the lighter ones forming on his wrists as well. He could also see the hand print marks forming on his chest where his maknae had tried to fend him off. He went back and sat on the edge of the bed, letting his head fall back into his hands. He didn't know what to do. He knew he had messed up big time but he didn't know how to fix it. He knew Minwoo was probably too scared to even look at him and he was worried that the others would turn on him, not that he didn't deserve it. He had acted foolishly by going to drink, without thinking of the consequences and he had put his maknae, who had trusted him, in terrible danger. He knew he had to apologise but he didn't know how he was going to do it.
“Ugh! What have I done? Minwoo, Mianhae!” he mumbled to himself. After a while of wallowing in self loathing, he looked down at himself and decided that before he could do anything else, he needed to tidy up. After he had had a shower and got dressed and combed his hair, he went out to try and see where everyone else was. He assumed that after that incident, one of Minwoo's other Hyungs must have taken him to sleep in their room.
He left his room and went to check the other's bedrooms. No one was there, he found it strange that nobody was still asleep as they didn't have a schedule that day. He went around the dorm from room to room and was surprised, also worried when none of members were anywhere to be found. The last room he checked was the kitchen and there he found Hyunseong clearing away breakfast dishes and bowls. Donghyun was both relieved and worrisome to see him. He was worried that the others had left him and Hyunseong had been the one who punched him yesterday, but he was glad to still see the second eldest, even if he was mad at him. Hyunseong turned around at the sound of his Hyung entering the kitchen but after briefly making eye contact he turned back to his dishes with no expression on his face. Donghyun could feel the tension and awkwardness hanging in the air so he coughed a little and asked,
“Where are the others? I can't find them” Without turning around, Hyunseong answered plainly,
“They went out”
“Where?” he asked, hoping to get some information out of the blank member, yet he just continued to clean the dishes before he finally answered,
“Jeongmin took Minwoo away to relax so they went to the dance studio and the twins went out together to do something but they were planning on heading to the studio after it was done. I'm just clearing up here before heading out” he said, still never taking his eyes off his hands in the sink. Donghyun only sighed to himself and his hand made it's way to his hair as he tried to think of something to say. When he couldn't think of anything, he just picked up the bowls and dishes, Hyunseong had just cleaned, dried them and the both of them just silently put them back in their rightful places. When it was done, Donghyun just couldn't hold his silence anymore, he turned to face Hyunseong, who still had his back to him and said,
“Mianhae, I'm really really sorry!” it just blurted out of his mouth without him even thinking about it. That was when Hyunseong finally turned around to face his Leader properly, he just sighed and took a step towards his Hyung.
