Baekhyun’s POV:
I walked home silently, Su-Young in tow. Yesterday my parents’ fight was taken into my sister’s room. I couldn’t bear to see her get yanked around harshly the way she did.

The thought of Zaion began to weigh on my mind. I didn’t mean to snap at her. We had to meet with the principal the next day and I didn’t want anything to go wrong for her.

I’ll text her.

When we got home I realized the sky was grey. I was probably going to rain. I opened the door and ushered Su-Young into the house. Just as I predicted, rain poured down in thick fat drops. The plops, taps, and splats of the raindrops on my window was quite soothing.

My parents were out doing who-knows-what so I decided to make Su-Young a quick dinner and I headed up to my room.

I sent Zaion a message.

To: Beautiful Z
Zaion, how are you? Listen, I’m so sorry for snapping at you earlier. Can I call you? We should talk.

I waited nearly an hour for her response but got nothing. That certainly wasn’t like her. She would have sent me some sort of witty response. Something was seriously wrong. One hour became two and two became three.

Worry had gotten the better of me. I ran to my sister’s room.

“Susu, I’m going to go across the street real quick. Do you remember my cell phone number if you need me?”

“I got it. Now go, just don’t be too long.”

I quickly ran downstairs, out the door and across the street. Zaion’s door was still slightly open. This might have been really bad. I walked through the door.

“Zaion! Zaion are you here?”

I saw that the bathroom door was open and the light was on. My stomach churned as I walked closer. What if I was completely grossed out by what I saw? What if she wasn’t even in there? I walked in anyway and was on the verge of crying. Zaion was passed out on the floor.

“Come one let’s get you up stairs”, I said, tears slurring my voice.

I picked her up and carried her to her room. I placed a few gentle kisses on her cheeks and forehead. She truly was something special. I laid her on her bed and took a moment to look over her features. High cheekbones, plump lips, deep curves, and the most beautiful brown skin.

I sighed. If only she’d open up to me.

With that, I turned and walked down the stairs, out of her house, and back to my own.

When I got back inside I was greeted with the sound of my parents’ angry yells. I really wish they’d stop that. I went to sit in Su-Young’s room along with her but my parents were already in there, yanking her around by her hair.

“Help me! Get them off me!” The sounds of Su-Young’s yells made me even more afraid than I was before.

“WELL TELL YOUR MOTHER THAT I AM THE ONE IN CHARGE HERE!!! ”

Su-Young screamed and cried but I couldn’t move. Some brother I was. I heard the thud as she was dropped and my father calmed down. I ducked into the corner as he passed by, my mother following behind. I had been through it all before and I didn’t want my little sister to have to as well.

I ran into the room and held her as she cried, tears seeping through my shirt. I cooed softly to get her to calm down. I failed her and still she held onto me. I began to cry too and it was the two of us, on the floor, crying.




A/N: Well that was this chapter, darling readers!!!!! I really feel for Baekhyun because he apparently has a backstory similar to that of his sister’s. Next chapter we will find out what happens with Zaion. Her story just may also be further explained.
