believe
to my heart he carries the keytitle: believe
pairing: lay/krystal
words: 293
for soojung, fairytales do not exist. there is no damsel in distress to save, no prince charming to fight off a dragon or a witch, no true love's kiss to conquer all things. what she learned as a child were mere cloaks of what the world was really like. parents and adults-like keep their children away from evil. they try to steer in the cloaks of beautiful words and happy-endings to give children dreams and hopes that make them wish for their own happiness one day.
unfortunately for them, the envitable came.
their children grew up. they learned, discovered and found that the world is no sunshine and rainbows.
soojung was one of them. she realized that being a princess wasn't something she wanted to be.
soojung was one of them. she realized that being a princess wasn't something she wanted to be.
so soojung does not need saving, does not hope to meet her prince charming and does not find true love. she doesn't fight her own dragons nor does she stay in her castle and grow her hair out. she does not wait to bring peace to the world.
instead, soojung sleeps. she wakes, she eats, she spends time with her friends. she goes to college and crams on her projects and cusses professors behind their backs. she goes to parties, she drinks alcohol and she dances.
soojung's life is not a fairytale.
but.
he comes. he smiles charmingly. he is prim and proper with his dark curly hair and clear brown eyes. his skin remains unblemished and his hands are soft like he has never carried a thing in his life. he sweeps her off her feet and makes promises of a life time. he kisses her and tells her he will love her forever.
soojung does not believe in fairytales.
but she could believe in love.
