Madness, Regrets and Secrets
A/N: I wonder if I’m gonna get killed after this chapter. Anyways, enjoy~ In the end, i had to change my OC's name...sorry guys~
Lay and Luhan were just returning from the clinic. The atmosphere was beyond awkward since Luhan was unusually quiet, yet he wasn’t disturbed by the appearance of the girl; at least it didn’t look like it.
“Out of all the girls in this city, you had to pick one that was engaged. You have a rather peculiar taste.” Lay chuckled at the thought.
“And you say that I utter nonsense all the time.”
They were just five meters away from their house when Lay stopped walking.
“Why are you so persistent?” Lay asked, grabbing onto the elder’s wrist to prevent him from striding away. “I can’t help you if you keep all these secrets from me.”
Luhan gaped at him through his fringe that covered half his face. The healer was taken back by his sudden change.
“You’re so special.”
“Don’t change the subject!”
“You took me in because you were curious about me, right? You don’t have to answer that, because I already know.” He glanced at the clear blue sky which had the ability to calm the storm inside his heart, just slightly. “You really wanted to hate me after you discovered more and more about me. Quite honestly, you didn’t want anything to do with me. Can't blame you though, no one would.”
His grasp on his wrist loosened. Lay hung his head down in shame once he heard those words. There really was no hiding from Luhan.
“Yet you still kept me with you.” Luhan smiled, now grabbing onto his hand, giving it a light squeeze. Lay stared at him with sympathetic eyes whilst he continued to talk. “You see me as a brother, and for that, I’m ever so thankful. I too, see you as a brother. There are so many things I want to teach you about this world, yet at the same time, I don’t. This world would taint you forever, and that’s the last thing I’d ever want.”
The healer’s eyes softened and his unicorn appeared beside him, as if she too wanted to comfort Luhan. Luhan placed a hand on the magnificent creature. An idyllic violet glow appeared once they touched, soothing his chaotic heartbeat which was obstructing his breathing; not that anyone would’ve noticed.
“She’s beautiful.” Luhan commented, giving them one of his uncommon sincere smiles. “After knowing what I really am, won’t you feel that it’s sad if another being, like myself, existed in this world.”
“A vision?” Though it was more of a statement rather than a question. They both knew the answer to that. Nevertheless, Luhan nodded. “Fate is not for people like you or me to control.”
“But I can’t just stand back and do nothing.”

Once the door clicked open, the ‘kids’ ran up to the two, greeting their return.
“It’s so good to see you, how was your day?” Baekhyun gave them a wide smile, causing Lay to raise an eyebrow. Even Sehun could be seen giggling at the back. Lay turned his gaze to Kris, who stood by the doorframe that led to the kitchen.
“They’ve brought home a ‘problem’.” Kris proclaimed as he eyed the youngsters before him.
“I can tell. What’s the problem?” Lay made his way to the living room, whilst Luhan cackled before he disappeared into his room; possibly already knowing what the ‘problem’ was. He was a mind reader, after all.
His head turned to the couch where the problem was; a very big one, at that.
“He is the owner of this house. Be nice to him.” Baekhyun pointed to Lay, who seemed to be scrutinizing the creature before him.
“You have less than two minutes to tell me about yourself and why I shouldn’t kick you out my house.” The healer could feel his head pounding due to the continuous unpredictable events that was occurring one after another. He was too tired to be nice.
The figure looked at him through their jet black bangs, expressionless as ever.
“Name: Sooyang. Dimension: Shadow Realm. Gender: Female. Occupation: Thief. Reason: I no longer have a home. My task was to steal our Prince’s bracelet. Since I have failed to do so, I cannot return.”
“I can’t let her have my bracelet!” Baekhyun whined as he gave the elders his puppy eyes. "It's the only thing I have left. I can't and I won't let her take it! She said she'll give it back if we provide her a 'home'. Lay hyung, please."
The healer sighed whilst he eyed the pale girl before him. “Luhan, what’s your opinion of this?”
Suddenly, a dramatic gasp could be heard.
“Our Lay can’t make his own decisions without my help? Well, I’m flabbergasted!” Luhan exclaimed whilst he made his entrance, skipping along towards the girl. “Definitely let her stay.” He leaned closer to her, showing his sly smile. “I see something interesting in those eyes of hers.”
Her pupils dilated at his words. She was losing her expressionless stance as she started to blink frantically due to the nerves. All her actions simply caused Luhan to smile wider.
"If I could read dragon minds, I'm sure that our dragon friend wants her to stay too."
As if on cue, Kris' beloved dragon also appeared, giving a small roar as a response.
“I won’t be of any trouble. I don’t take up much space! I just need a place to stay. I can just sleep by the corner or something.”
“Words filled with lies and excuses,” Luhan muttered, glaring at her childishly. “But we buy it. Lay over there has a massive heart! Don’t you Lay?”
The healer rolled his eyes, but everyone could see the corner of his lips curving ever so slightly.
“I think I’ve aged thirty years after I met you guys.”

Xiumin gently knocked on his fiancée’s door, gaining nothing but silence as a response. He knew she was in there. Slowly, he pushed the door opened, just like how he always did. She never seemed to mind.
“What are you doing?” He snuck up behind her, allowing his arms to hang around her neck loosely. “Sweetie…what’s this?” His face dropped when he saw the canvas before them with defined lines stretched across the delicate material. The colours seemed lifeless on such a captivating piece, yet the picture was extremely life-like, especially in his eyes.
“Kai,” she uttered. “I saw him. I’m not insane.” She shook her head whilst she continued to glance at her masterpiece. He bit his bottom lip, which she couldn't see.
“Sweetie, I’m sorry about last time. I believe you’re not insane.”
She spun around, facing him with a face filled with disbelief. He broke into a frail smile, one which was warm, but at the same time seemed to hide a thousand lies.
He hesitated, not knowing how to deliver the next lines.
“I’ve met Kai before too. You’re not insane.”
