Young Mi shrugged it off when she walked over to Yunho’s desk and asked to borrow a highlighter, to which the elder didn’t even look up to acknowledge her presence, said nothing and quickly slid the stationery across the desk towards her like as if in a hurry to shoo her off his work area.

She got slightly confused when Yunho failed to respond to her when she came over an hour later with the print outs of the articles she had worked on before, wanting to hear his views on them before she submitted them to Jaejoong.

“Did I unknowingly offend you?” Young Mi asked.

Again, no reaction from Yunho’s side, so she sighed and unwillingly walked towards Kyuhyun’s desk and slammed the file down. “Tell me what you think,” Young Mi said all this very quickly, “And in one sentence.”

Kyuhyun simply looked up at her, shrugged and flipped though the articles. He skimmed though everything in about 2 or so minutes and handed the file back to her saying, “They’re all rarely explored topics so it's very exciting to read.”

Young Mi thanked him curtly and got back to her seat.

Yunho suddenly stood up and walked out of the office, and it was only then did the other 2 Blitz employees realise that it was lunch hour.

“Since your lunch buddy abandoned you, do want to go downstairs and eat together?” Kyuhyun spun around on his swivel chair and looked at her expectantly. 

Young Mi rolled her eyes and half-joked as she tried to shake him off, “Only if you treat me.”

“Okay.”

Young Mi casually tidied her desk, “I’m referring to the restaurant across the street.”

“Okay.”

“You’re being awfully charitable towards a complete stranger.”

“You’re no stranger, Young Mi,” and the ex-Fashion Assistant cringed when he uttered her name.

“Let’s go,” she replied coldly, grabbed her bag and briskly walked out of the office.

Lunch was awkward to say the least. The ex-couple were not talking and had their focus entirely on the plates of food before them. Kyuhyun wanted to start a conversation, but as soon as he looked up at Young Mi and watched her stab the meat on her plate like as if picturing herself killing someone (most likely him), he shut up and looked back down.

“How’s Min Ji?” Young Mi’s question caught Kyuhyun off guard so he ended up choking on his food and immediately reached for his glass of water and gulped it down.

A few deep breaths later, he replied as calmly as he possibly could, “She’s fine.”

“Good.” Young Mi clipped and proceeded to use the napkin to dab .

“How are you these days?”

“It'll be even better if you didn’t reappear.” Young Mi flashed him a halfhearted smile.

He sighed, “I’m going to be letting down more than just you.”

Young Mi scoffed and threw her napkin haphazardly back on the table, “No surprise there. What did you do this time?”

“The reason I’m back here-”

“5, why the are you having a lunch date with this tech guy instead of my very fabulous Yunnie?” Jaejoong pouted cutely and conjured a seat out of nowhere to sit beside a now gaping Young Mi.

“Well-uh,” Young Mi explained, “This is not a lunch date.”

Jaejoong eyed Kyuhyun suspiciously before looking back at her, “If I catch you cheating on Yunnie again, I’ll make you babysit Jaejoon for a whole month.”

Young Mi opened to retort but Jaejoong walked off while chanting loudly that he was suffering from temporary deafness.

And with that, Young Mi and Yunho were back on talking terms the next day, though Yunho was still acting a bit fishy as he didn't make any eye contact with her whenever they were talking.

2 days ago, the utterly confused and irked out Yunho went to secretly seek help from Louise, the ex-Psychiatrist turned secretary-adhoc-Fashion Assistant, who told him that dreams were supposedly a reflection of a dreamer’s unconscious desire and wish fulfillment. And according to another theory, could also bring up a matter of importance in which the dreamer often neglects.

From then on, he couldn't look at Young Mi the same way again. She was no longer just a colleague.

Yunho felt like a dirty old ert.

Sorry for the short chapter my beloved subbies, I've been really busy reviewing (crappy) stories and preparing for a BIG presentation on Tuesday. I didn't want to NOT post anything up today so I did my best to write this chapter up.

I will humbly accept you ing at me, even if its on a Jaejoong level.
