Will he go? Will he be there?

He must go. He must go so he can gain more friends.

But am I so bad? So bad that I’m wishing he shouldn’t go because I’ll be there?

Well, a part of me wants him there. It's the last day of the year for us to see each other. A more time together will be great.

I can’t say that he’ll be going or not.

If I didn’t do that (the confession), I’m sure I’ll talk my way for him to come.

I sighed. They said that sighing is throwing away your good fortune. Well, I think my good fortune already left me since I’ve been sighing a lot.

I sighed, once again. Since good fortune is already gone, I’m now attracting negativity. I grimaced.

“You ready?” Shinhye asked me.

I nodded.

“Okay, let’s go. Hurry Eunhye!” Shinhye called then began singing “KA-RA-O-KE! KA-RA-O-KE! …”

I took my bag and steal a glance at Jinyoung.

Some boys in our class is talking to him. They looked like they are inviting him to come. Then, he looked at me, being dragged by Shinhye towards the door. I quickly looked away.

Once I glanced back, he’s already fixing his bag. And the boys are giving themselves a high-five. Somebody shouted, “Everyone will be coming!! See you in an hour!!”

OH NO!

I closed my eyes, getting myself prepared to what may happen.

The party was fun. There are lots of foods and drinks. Many laughter and stories are shared. People are planning their meeting over the vacation. My friends are inviting me to come over to their houses but I refused since I like to spend the vacation with my family.

Since we're still minors, we are not allowed to drink alcoholic stuff, so the juices and colas keep flowing for everyone to grab.

Some of my classmates keeps singing like there's no tomorrow. The others are dancing as if they are in the bar. Many are having fun.

Unlike me. I sighed. I'm so depressed. I'm depressed of myself for getting depressed.

What was that?

Anyway, it's awkward. I was sitting at the left side, while he's on the other side. He's just sitting there, watching me. Some guys are asking him to join them yet he keeps refusing.

A moment later, I saw him approaching me. I gulped, I look around me to find something to keep me busy.

I really want to run away anywhere!! Or hide somewhere!!

Or can just the earth open up and swallow me whole?

I let go a big sigh. I'm being ridiculous, I know. I just can't help it I'm such a coward for trying to run away. I know, at some point we need to talk. Why not now?

Not yet, my heart still aches.

I held my juice tighter and stared at it.

“Yoonshi...” I heard him say.

He sat beside me, like always. “Yoonshi,” he began again.

I forced myself to look at him, and paste a smile on my face.

“I'm glad you came.” I said to him.

He just stares at me, as if he saw a crazy person. And he's looking at me. Therefore, I am the crazy person.

Logic, you are bitter to me, are you not?

He snapped in his daze. “Yoonshi, I...”

“Have you tasted this tomato juice?” I said, holding up my juice. “It's the first time I tasted something like this! It tastes so sweet! You know, I usually hate tomatoes. I don't know why though. But after tasting something like this, I'm thinking of trying to eat some tomatoes.”

Again, he looked confused. Then he opened his mouth to say something.

I interrupted him. “Ah, yes. I'm so stupid. I haven't noticed that you are holding the same juice that I told you.”

He frowned. I pointed the juice he's holding. He looked at it, and his head snapped towards me.

Then, once again I began my lovely speech about juices, “But, you see, I still prefer apple juice over this tomato juice. Especially, if it is freshly made. And also, I love strawberry juice but you already know about that since you always buy me my strawberry milkshake ---” I saw him closed his eyes, as if trying to hold down his temper. Then he inhaled deeply and exhale slowly. “I love strawberry milkshake because it has both strawberry and ...”

He stood up and took my hand. I closed my eyes briefly, making a silent prayer and preparing myself.

“Yoonshi, we need to talk.” he said, seriously.

I refused to stand up. So I said, “But we are already talking.”

He pulled me up, and dragged me towards the door.

I snatched my bag and look for help from Eunhye and Shinhye but I can't see them.

“Leaving early?” somebody asked. I saw Jinyoung nod, and mumbled something that sounds like walking me home.

As soon as we're outside, Jinyoung faced me and said,

“Seriously, we need to talk.”

I sighed. This is the end of all the running. I nodded.
