3 months passed by quickly. Alex and Niel were now the best of friends.

One day while Alex and Niel were walking, Niel stopped.

“Alex? Can I court you?” Niel asked as he looked deep into Alex’s brown eyes.

Alex’s mouth formed a little ‘o’. She recovered a few moments later and nodded her head.

Niel smiled and hugged her. Then he suddenly grabbed her hand and pulled her somewhere.

“Niel Oppa, where are we going? Dora’s house?” Alex asked sarcastically.

“I’m taking you shopping. We have a party to attend to later.” Niel announced.

Alex shook her head, but went with him anyway.

A few hours later, Alex and Niel’s arms were full of shopping bags. Alex sat down at a bench in the mall, exhausted.

“Seriously, Oppa, you didn’t have to do this…” she said.

Niel shook his head, “It’s okay! I want you to look gorgeous at the party.”

Alex sighed. Then she brightened when she saw something.

“Stay here.” She ordered. Then she ran somewhere.

Niel was curious. Alex returned 10 minutes later with 2 paper bags.

“I got us coffee~” she sang.

Then she got out 2 plastic cups with straws.

“Starbucks!”

She gave one cup to Niel. They started drinking.

“What’s in the other bag?” Niel asked as he sipped his Mocha frappe.

“Thought you might be hungry after all that shopping, so I bought some cookies!”

Alex got out some cookies. She offered one to Niel. He ate it right off her hand. Alex giggled.

They finished eating and drinking 45 minutes later.

Niel looked at his watch. It read 5:45. “Alex, the party starts in 15 minutes! We have to get ready. Can I dress up at your house?”

“Sure.”

At Alex’s house…

5 minutes later…

Niel was fixing his bow tie when Alex walked into the room in a black mini dress.

“Oppa, can you zip me up?” Alex asked as she pointed to the zipper on the back of her dress.

Niel zipped it up and smiled at her. Then he got something from his pocket. He put on the necklace on Alex’s neck.

Alex looked at it. The necklace was in the shape of a heart made of pink diamonds.

“Oppa, this must’ve cost you a lot…” Alex gasped.

Niel shrugged. “No biggie. If it’s for the girl I love, why not?”

Alex smiled with tears in her eyes.

“Let’s go?” Niel offered.

“Let’s.” agreed Alex.
