“Put this on.” I hand Yuko a blindfold.

“Why?” Yuko asks.

“Just do it. Don’t worry. I’m not kidnapping you.”

Yuko laughs. She takes the blindfold and puts it over her eyes. She takes the ends and tie it into a tight knot.

I drive and Yuko notes that it’s a long drive. She sounds a bit relieved as if she’s not going home yet. Not going back to the noise.

I park in the driveway of Chiyuu’s house. “Don’t take it off yet!” I tell her. That was close.

I get out and go to Yuko’s side of the car and open her door. I take her hand and lead her to the house. I open the door silently and I guide her in.

“Surprise!” Minami, Tomo and Chiyuu shouts and Yuko takes off her blindfold and I see tears in her eyes.
