I get into the car and drive to the college campus. Today is my first day as a freshman at Akimoto University. I can’t help but wonder if Yuko was still alive, would we go to the same school?

I go to my first class, American Literature. As the professor goes over everything in the syllabus she handed us, I just stare right past her. All I can think about now is Yuko.

A door opens and the professor angrily looks at the guy that walks in.

“I’m sorry.” The guy says.

“Take a seat!” the professor shouts.

The guy quickly runs and sits next to me. “Hi…” I say.

“Hello.” The guy says. “I’m Josh.”

“I’m Atsuko.” I say.

After class, I go to the library and wait for my next class. Or at least I planned to.

“Wait!” I turn around and Josh runs up to me. “Let’s go to the café!”

“What?” and before I can even think of accepting or declining, Josh grabs my arm and leads me towards the café.

I smile at the fact that this is what Yuko would do.
