His hair is black. His eyes are blue and with his muscular arms he slashes at the monster. The monster keeps screaming as long as the angel keeps slashing.

Suddenly, the monster leaves Atsuko and dashes away.

The angel gives me a smile. “Thank you for being here.”

I blush. “Y-yo-you’re welcome.”

The angel leaves in hurry. Is he going to kill that monster when he catches him? I hope he does so that people like Atsuko doesn’t fall victim to this.

“Atsuko!” Minami screams. Atsuko’s now normal eyes close.

“Let her rest for a bit.” The priest steps back a bit. “After an exorcism, the victim tends to be tired.”

Everything is normal again and in that brief moment when we were able to communicate made me realize that friendship transcends life.
