Companion
Brightness is Dark (Lunew Drabbles)“Luna was such a beautiful girl.” A classmate sobbed, during the black clothed gathering.
Jinki detested the boy. He should have said that when she was still alive. But he didn’t. He called her ugly and laughed at her for being fat.
“She was so smart, she had a great life ahead of her.” A gentle voice uttered, and Jinki felt himself firing up.
They should have told her that earlier. Instead, they called her dumb, and told her that she will never succeed in life.
Hypocrites.
Those toxic words had forced her off the cliff, and took away Jinki’s most cherished friend.
Sitting on his bedroom floor, he directed the knife to his chest. The cold metal lingered across his ribs, tracing the shape of his heart.
“Don’t worry Luna,” Jinki smiled, “I will join you in heaven.”
And with that, he buried the knife in his flesh and watched his life flash before his eyes.
