“Hyung, I want to grow up quickly.” Taemin exclaimed.

 “Why?” Jinki questioned, taken aback by the statement.  

“Because, I want to be like you!” the nine-year old smiled, “You have lots of knowledge!”

Jinki’s eyebrows furrowed, “Taemin-ah, you should stay young forever, sometimes, knowing too much is not a good thing.”

The younger one pouted, his innocent eyes glaring at his older brother. Jinki ruffled Taemin’s soft brown hair before proceeding to exit the front door.

The harmonious melody of chirping birds resonated through the park, as Jinki strolled down the pebble footpath. Life was so much simpler back then, he thought to himself. He wished he had never grown up. Back then, having fun was the only priority, and nothing else mattered. Back then, love was the only option, and hatred did not exist.

Growing up had corrupted his soul. I can’t let this happen to Taemin, Jinki pledged.
