Nobody uttered a word, but through silence, the insult was aggressive. Jinki could hear nothing but his thoughts, a deep voice that vibrated through the skull. In the muteness, that voice had a whisper of a roaring lion.

“You’re not good enough. You are worthless. You are useless in this world.” The sonorous voice attacked. Although he was in danger, the boy did not defend himself. Instead, Jinki gave permission for the voice to deteriorate his mind.

And that voice marked the beginning of self-destruction.
