Chapter 8: Hysteria
"Let’s go on a date." I said looking at her while I stood up in front of her table. Her eyes became widened. It looked really funny.
"Eh? What did you say?"
"I said, let’s go on a date."
"Don’t you have work today?" she asked.
I laughed and answer her in most cynical way, "why? Even if I had a part time job, I know you’ll force me not to go there."
She laughed and shook her head. "How did you know I would do such thing?"
See? She's guilty! She stood up and put her bag on her back. She walked closer to me and looped her arms around mine.
"Cause you are Aragaki Yui."
Instead of hearing her loud and cheerful laugh, she didn’t utter any single word. It felt awkward;
Neither of us talked for like minutes. The silence felt like eternity, I never thought Yui could shut , once in her life.
"Are you okay?" I bend down and looked at her. She had this blank expression, but when I looked at her, I know she felt awkward because she blushed.
She smiled again. "Yeah. I'm fine."
"So where do you want to go?" I asked as we continue to walk outside the school premises.
"I want to drink some coffee."
"Okay, let’s go to the nearby coffee shop." I grinned.
