Someday Chapter 11: Kind

"Hold still." Yui commanded as she held my face with her left hand. She was applying make-up on my face.

"AWWW!" I yelped in pain. She heavily pressed the sponge on my eye-- on the eye which was hit by the ball.

"Sorry..." She said and pursed her lips. I stare at her face. Then I saw her smile. Somehow, I like the Yui that she is now. She looks calm, warm, and at ease.

"Yah~ why are you staring at me?" She smiled but she was trying not to. My shoulders shrugged, I let out a light chuckle.

"You... you look pretty." I finally told her. I felt embarrassed; I even wanted to cover my face. I pursed my lips. Then I could see her blushing, all of a sudden...

"You didn’t know that when you told me what you feel for me?"

Eh? Since when did I confess to her? The left side of my face became twitchy. I wanted to pull the collar of my uniform, instead I swallowed hard. "I... I m-mean you look prettier today." I stutter.

"You know what?" She smiled and closed her make-up and stuffed it inside her bag.

"What?" I could feel the tension inside my body.

"You’ve got good taste in girls." She patted my back really hard, I almost choked. "I know I'm a pretty girl." She grinned and started touching my eye with her index finger. "I'm always pretty!"

I let out a dry laugh. She giggle, our laugh harmonize with one another. "Alright." I admit my defeat. Her eyes became chinkier again as she smile.

"Since you called me pretty, I'll give you a surprise tomorrow."

"Then it’s not a surprise anymore? Because you spoke it aloud." My eyes roam around, as I feign a smile. Stupid stupid Minho, why did you blurt it aloud? You know, you girlfriend is a monster!

"Then..." She her lips and grinned. "Pretend that you did not hear It." she made this 'peace' sign on her two hands.

"Okay." the bell suddenly rang. It signaled that the lunch break is now over. I stood up and extend my hands in front of her, helping her to stand up.

"Hmm? What should I do for your surprise tomorrow? Hmm..." she puckered her lips and reached for my hands. Then we walked side by side, her hands were cupped on her cheeks.

All throughout the class, I've notice Yui, she seems bothered. When the bell rang again for the last time, this day (however, this time it signaled the campus as dismissal time.) I walked Yui back to her apartment, and then I'll go to my work.
