NIEL POV

OH MY GOSH.... CHUNJI WAS ABOUT TO KISS BYUNGHUN!! I squealed in my head. I wanted to kick myself for ruining such a moment. Stupid me. This past week I was wondering why chunji wouldn't leave Byunghun alone, but now I can guess why. CHUNJI LIKES MY BYUNGHUN!!! I jumped up and down happily. Thinking about them getting together made me feel giddy. I thought they would look cute together and that Chunji was a great person for Byunghun. Chunji was a really good guy and I felt I could trust him. I wasn't really sure of Byunghun's feelings toward the other but I just knew he felt something for him. Why else would he allow Chunji to follow him around like he has been?

If only I didn't barge in the room....they would've kissed! I couldn't stop thinking about it. I was fanboying about my friend's love life. But now that I think about it I don't think Byunghun knew Chunji was trying to make a move... I sighed. Byunghun sure was dense.

I looked to my side to see Byunghun walking with a small limp. He had told me about his ankle and how chunji helped him, making me like Chunji more.

"Uh.... Byunghun?" I asked slowly

"yeah?"

"....how do you feel about Chunji?"

He stopped walking. I watched as his face turned a shade of pink. He opened and shut his mouth, he was at a loss of words. I couldn't help but giggle at my friend's cuteness. I haven't seen him like this in a long time.

"h-he is super annoying and never leaves me alone." he mumbled shyly.

He began fidgeting with his hands. Something he used to do when he was really nervous.

"really? Why do you think he's always wanting to be with you?" Hopefully Byunghun would catch on to my hints.

Byunghun paused for a second. I could see his face saden like he was remembering something awful.

"I don't know. Mabye he's using me or he feels bad for me." Byunghun said coldly with his head down.

"Byunghun...no one's using you anymore. Stop thinking that." I told him in a serious tone. Suddenly the light mood was gone and replaced with a heavy one. He really needed to forget about the past.

I reached for him a and gave him a big hug. He resisted at first but gave up.

"It's ok Byunghun. That was all in the past" I his back.

I couldn't see his face but I could hear his quiet sobs.

CHUNJI POV

I was on my way walkiing home when I accidently bumped into someone, knocking down everything he was holding.

"Jeez. I'm really sorry"

I looked up to see who was the victim on of my clumsiness and to my suprise it was Niel.

"Oh hey Niel" I greeted him with a smile

"Hi chunji" he smiled back

 I continued to help him gather his materials on the ground. Luckily they weren't dirty. I went to pick up a folder and as I lifted it off the ground a picture form inside fluttered to the ground. I picked it up to reveal an image of young Byunghun and Niel. They looked like they were around the age of 9. Both of them had sunflowers in their hands and smiling happily. I couldn't help but grin. It was an adorable picture. I turned around to see Niel looking at the picture in my hands.

"Uh sorry. It's just that I've never seen Byunghun smile like this before. Or ever this happy" I explained flustered while looking at the picture in my hands again.

He shook his head morosely. And took the picture from me.

"No it's fine. He isn't the same as back then, that's for sure" he said quietly.

I was confused now. What had he meant by that? I was about to ask but he began talking instead.

"Chunji?"

"Huh?"

"How do you feel about Byunghun" he asked bluntly

I coughed. Where the hell did that come from? To be honest I wasn't quite sure of my feelings for the boy myself. I liked him a lot. Probably more then just a friend. But I wasn't sure if I really loved him either. I've only known him for a week and love can't really blossom from just a week right?

"Yah! So how do you feel about him?!"

I jumped. I wasn't expecting Niel to be so assertive

"Um, we're just friends" I said uncertainly

I heard him laugh. What did he find so funny? I started to get annoyed.

"Yeah right! You can't lie to me. I saw you almost kiss him in the nurses office"

I raised my eyebrows. I was suprised he noticed. I didn't think it looked that obvious.

"So tell me...You like him right?" he asked with confidence

Byunghun... he was stubborn but I thought that's what was cute about him. He's not overbearing like those ridiculous fangirls. I found him really attractive, he had lush blonde hair, and full lips. The more I thought about him the faster my heart pounded.

"Yeah I do like him. A lot." I finally admitted to him and to myself.

Niel started dancing around happily. I laughed at his goofiness. He ran up to me and put his hands on my shoulders.

"You better take good care of him" he smiled and tilted his head.

"Why are you telling me this?" I chuckled "what is this? A threat or something?"

He grinned at me.

"Think of it more as...as a blessing."

"Blessing? Isn't that the parent's job?'

Niel laughed bitterly and then looked at me with sad eyes.

"yeah, if they were still here"

"What? Where are his parents? Do they live somewhere else?" i asked naively

Niel then looked me straight in the eyes. And without breaking eye contact he told me

"They're dead"

Flashback (NO ONE's POV)

The firefighter lifted the lady into the ambulence. Byunghun who was once unconsious finally woke up to see his mother being taken away.

"UMMA!!! Where are you taking her?! Why isn't she moving!!? UMMA!!" the boy screamed at the people inside the ambulence.

A man roughly pulled Byunghun's arm away from his umma.

SLAP!

"Y-you! It's all your fault! Sh-she's dead!!"
