You woke up, sleepy and tired.

You took a shower, put on a t-shirt and sweatpants and sluggishly went downstairs.

"Morning sleepyhead."

You saw SungYeol and froze, looking down at yourself you scrambled up the stairs, tripping in the process.

SungYeol chuckled, *Silly girl.*

You came down wearing a simple sundress and mouthed, 'Good morning.'

Then you paused, 'How come you're home?'

*Does she not know..?*

"Because it's someone very special day." SungYeol replied.

'Really? But your birthday is in August.'

SungYeol deadpanned and cupped your face, "Babo it's YOUR birthday."

*My..birthday...?*

Your face fell and you hid it from SungYeol.

"Wae? What's wrong?" He whispered.

You shook your head and put on a smile,'Nothing.'

"_________-ah.." He whispered.

*Don't do that...*

You blinked back your tears and turned to him,'Why? Did you have something planned?'

His eyes seemed to search your soul, he looked at you,"Tell me what's wrong."

'Nothing.'

"Nothing means something." SungYeol said.

'I...just don't like birthdays.' You shrugged, hoping he'd buy it.

He frowned, "Seriously. Tell me."

You sank down on the couch, 'It's because..tomorrow will be my parents' death anniversary.'

SungYeol froze,"W-what?"

'They died...because of me.'

"No... _______-ah-"

You shook  your head and touched your throat, 'I asked my parents to watch me sing while my dad was driving..in the rain. I complained and whined so much that he did turn around and skidded off the road...the shock made me lose my voice. It always rains on my birthday and the day after it.'

Tears slid down your face, 'It's all my fault.'

SungYeol quietly wrapped his arms around you and let you sob into his shoulder.

"Shh...it's not your fault, I'm sure your parents don't hate you or think it's your fault. It probably rains because they're crying for your sadness. I'm sure your parents don't want you to be sad on your birthday or blame you." SungYeol whispered.

'Still...how can I be happy?' Your eyes glistened.

"By letting it go. That way, your parents can rest in peace and instead of being sad on your birthday, you can thank them by being happy."

You looked up at him, he softly smiled at you and wiped your tears away.

*What did I do umma and appa, to deserve him?*

A small smile came upon your face, at that moment it stopped raining.

"See? The sun was just waiting for you." SungYeol said, you leaned into him.

"So, is the birthday girl ready to celebrate with her one and only handsome boyfriend?" SungYeol grinned.

'One and only..? I have a boyfriend?' You blinked confusedly.

SungYeol deadpanned.

You beamed, 'Kidding~'
