When I was small, talking to my dad was easy. I told him whatever was on my mind and he responded in the same blunt way.
Our lives weren't really affected because it wasn't like I had any secrets. I was a pretty open person. I told my parents everything, even when they told me to shut up.
So...why am I so scared now?

We sat at the dinner table, just the four of us. Mom, Dad, Tao, and me. Lu Han had to take care of Soomi now, in their own apartment.
I let out a sigh and stared at the plate. I wasn't too hungry and I was sick of the microwaved food. I was really nervous too.
"Kris? What's wrong?" My mom put a hand on my forehead, "Are you feeling ok?"
"Yeah, just not very...hungry," I reassured her.
"Gege?" Tao sounded puzzled.
"I'm fine, Tao." I told him.
"Ok," He shrugged, attention shifting immediately back to his plate.
"Something's on your mind, spit it out boy," Dad pointed his fork at me.
I sighed again, "It's...well...kind of...I don't...um..."
Dad's eyes flashed with annoyance, "Spit it out, boy!"
"I'M GAY!"

...
Did I really just tell it like that?
My dad's face paled, before he finally let out a small, "What?"
"I met someone and I...we...I'm in love with him."
"Is it Chanyeol?" Tao asked excitedly.
Bad move, little bro. Very bad move.
The anger boiled up in a harsh pink tone in my father's face, "We do not accept homouality in this household. It is-"
"-a sin against Christ and all that jazz. Just one question dad, if God didn't want any man to be gay, why did he give us a g-spot up the ?"
He stood up abruptly and glared daggers into my eyes, "Don't you dare engage in ual activities with that boy!"
A cruel smile formed on my lips, "Too late."
The table flipped before anyone could stop it. My mother jumped back and Tao screamed. In fury my dad turned to him with a slap across his cheek.
Furious, I threw the first punch into my father's jaw, "Don't you dare hit my brother!"
Tao was on the floor, sobbing his eyes out. I could see the confusion in his eyes and all I wished for was the times we were kids, and I was his own security blanket.
"You're all screw ups! I regret having any of you!" He screamed. Even though I knew he didn't mean it, damn. It hurt.
" off!" I screamed back.
I turned back and my little brother wasn't on the floor anymore. I saw a glimpse of his jacket run out the door, and I ran after him. But at this time of night, I couldn't see anything. Desperate, I jumped in my car without a second thought and drove up to someone who would help me.
Chanyeol answered the door, still wearing his nerd glasses, "Kris? You look-"
"He's gone!" Tears were running down my face, "He's gone Chanyeol, I can't find him! I've been looking for an hour, I can't find him!"
"Who? Tell me Kris!" He panicked and I collapsed into his arms, feeling weak and helpless.
"Tao!" I sobbed into my boyfriend's chest. Oh my God what if he slipped and hurt himself? What if some sicko took him? What if he's-
"Kris, Kris, don't worry. I'll help you look, ok? He can't have gone far. Don't worry, he's gonna be fine, ok? Ok?" He rubbed my back comfortingly, urging me to calm down.
I nodded, trying to calm down myself. But, oh God, he's my brother!
He's special to me.

Kris came out. Tao is missing. Yep.
