Chapter 6

Hyerin and the rest of her gang quickly made their way to class.

As they entered the music room, eyes were directed to them, or so they thought.

As Hyerin walked to her seat, she found out that the attention wasn't at her but was at her new enemy, Lee Jina.

She flipped her hair and rolled her eyes as Jina slowly make her way with three guys behind her.

They took a seat a row behind her and as far away from her as possible.

She was taken aback at how Jina was treating her like she had some kind of rare disease while in the actual situation, Jina was only trying to avoid making any eye contact with her.

Jina looked at her watch and pouted.

She looked around and couldn't find her first new friend, Jae In.

The teacher, Ms Uhm, came into the music room, dressed in fully black.

Her heels clicked and clacked, making loud noises as she walked through the door.

Suddenly, the doors of the room flew open.

Ms Uhm and the students were kinda shocked at the sudden outburst.

All heads turned towards the culprit.

Jae In gulped as she saw all of her classmates looking at her as if she murdered someone.

Jina smiled and waved at Jae In, patting an empty seat beside her.

Jae In bowed in apology to Ms Uhm sheepishly and awkwardly walk to the seat.

Ms Uhm cleared and began to speak.

"Now i see we have fresh new faces today. Now will the four of you come up to the front and introduce yourself to the class?"

All heads turned to Jina and her friends.

Jina slowly make her way in front and cleared .

"Annyeonghasayo, Lee Jina imida. I'm new here and i hope i can be good friends with all of you."

After she finished, the students applaused in welcoming her.

"And your friends Jina? Ask them to introduce themselves too."

Ms Uhm pointed at those three guys.

Jina sweetly smile at Ms Uhm and turned to her friends, giving them a death glare.

Their eyes widened and nodded.

One of them stepped forward.

"Annyeonghasayo, my name is Jung Ilhoon."

he ended with a small wave and smiled.

The second guy then stepped foward also and said,

"Annyeong! My name is Peniel. Nice to meet you~"

he waved at the class.

He beamed.

Before he could continue to talk, the third one cut in.

"Hey, it's Sungjae."

He only gave an irritated stare to Ms Uhm and took a step backwards.

Ms Uhm could only rolled her eyes.

"Alright, Jina, Ilhoon, Peniel and Sungjae, welcome to Cube Academy. You can take your seats."

Jina and her friends walked briskly to their seats and quickly settled down.

Jae In could only chuckled at Jina's flushed face.

Ms Uhm clapped her hands loudly, getting attention from the whole class.

"Alright, we're having a surprise test today!"

Groans and boos can be heard.

"And i supposed you all have got your songs ready to present them to the class, yes?"

Hyerin's POV

I pumped my fist into the air, smiling to myself. 

"This is the perfect time to get back at that annoying and arrogant Jae In." 

Gayoon unnie looked at me, with that i-know-what-you're-thinking smirk. 

"Go and show her what you're made of." 

Jiyoon unnie whispered. 

"Oh, i plan to. You should know me better." 

I looked at Jae In who was talking with Jina with that worried look. 

"Because, i'm better than her. In every way."

Jae In's POV

"!"

i muttered to myself.

Jina looked at me, confused.

"What did she meant by surprise test?"

I sighed.

"Her surprise test is different compared to other surprise tests."

I paused.

"She wants us to sing in front of the class."

I looked at Jina, who seems to not take everything in easily.

"WHAT!? You're, you've to be kidding me, right? I can't just- I can't just stand there and sing!"

i looked at her, in shock.

"Dude, chill. Why are you acting this way? Look, i don't want to do this, as much as you. But, this is a test."

I reached forward and grab her hands.

I tighten my grip and whispered,

" Look, we'll do this together, alright? I'll be right behind you." 

She shook her head.

"Look Jae In, i appreciate your kindess but you don't understand my situation. It's not like i can't sing or anything. I've got.. I've got a phobia. I can't.. "

".. I can't sing in public."
