"I know this is kind of silly but...I really want to become a great singer that people will respect and look up to." You murmured and looked up at her. Most people wanted to join just to become famous, so you thought that your answer was out of wack. These people would think you're soooo incredibly boring. 

"Hm." The girl just nodded and smiled. "That's unusual. It's nice to see someone like you for a change." She chuckled, seemingly remembering some kind of past event. 

"Eh?" You looked at her, baffled. "What are you talking about?"

"Nothing, nothing." She shook her head. "It's just that...I've done these auditions for a long time now. And to be honest, It's refreshing to hear that you actually want to be a respected singer. Not just a international celebrity."

Over the loudspeakers, you hear the voice of a woman. Her voice was awfully squeaky, and caused you to wince a bit. "Auditionees numbers A120 through A140, please line up outside of the audition room. An employee will show your way. I repeat, numbers A120 through A140, please follow the employee to the audition room."

It dawns upon you that your number was called. You look at your number to see a bold "A139" staring back at you. "Oh!" You jump up quickly, smoothing down your hair and your lips. Your heart starts beating faster and adrenaline pumps through your veins. "That's me. Sorry, I've got to go now~ It was nice meeting you." You wave to her and start walking off.

"Yep." The girl smiles and waves back at you. "Good luck! Maybe we'll even meet again later on..." 

"Huh?" Turning around, you saw the employee waving their arms in the air and leading a group of auditionees out into the lavishly decorated hallway. What did she mean by meeting again later on...?

Oh, whatever. You shrug the thought away and follow the others. 

"Alright, everybody!" The employee grinned and pointed at the double doors that led to the audition room. "We'll wait here for a while so that the previous group can finish up." He also added, whispering, "It hasn't been very long yet, and the judge is already pretty sleepy, bored and aggravated. So try to do something unique. Flop around the floor like a fish if you have to. It'll make her remember you, even if it doesn't make you pass." 

The group chuckled nervously at his joke. You guys could hear the singing coming from the other side of the door, and also the voice of the judge. The 20 people standing in this hallway (not including the employee) were as nervous as . Some of them were shaking, and some of them were doing breathing exercises to calm themselves. The employee tried to calm everyone down and give them tips. "Just confidence. You need that. Also, add emotion into your singing. No emotion = no pass.

One auditionee raised his hand and asked a question. "Is it true that SM judges based on looks?" The employee laughed. It was a question that was frequently asked. "Well, yes. It's quite true. Because you can always improve singing, dancing, and acting. You can't improve looks without plastic surgery, unless you haven't fully grown yet."He sighed. "But don't worry, if you were afraid you aren't going to pass just because of that. If you have a nice voice or good dancing skills, they'll choose you."

You nodded. You had always somehow known that SM was biased towards good-looking people. You had a question to ask, so you, raised your hand.

a/n; the answers about auditions will all be pretty much true and apply to real-life sm entertainment auditions. i've gone to many auditions and been told these little pieces of advice by the workers there...and my uncle works at sm. he's in their sales department and also on their judging and training team. c: so, you can take these pieces of advice for a real audition. :3
