$ Chapter 9 $

And finally after a few rides, they finally arrived at the last ride they wanted to do the new Water Splashing Coaster. Feeling excited, Sungyeol was standing in front all of them.

Hoya in the other hand, smiled widely as he looked upon the sky, where he viewed the coaster moved vigorously.

Dongwoo took a grip of his hood and gulped. Feeling so excited yet nervous in side, Dongwoo couldn’t help but felt a bit pressure since Sooyun was beside him. He didn’t want to show that he was weak. Slowly, he mentally hypnotized himself.

Well, what Dongwoo felt eventually is the same as Master Woohyun, he was sweating cold. He tried to focus his eyes on to something until it was their turn to ride. Man, he was that scared.

L just boringly waiting in line, his mind was in somewhere else. He was excited for the ride of cause, but waiting, was not his pleasure.

Sunggyu chuckled upon seeing the sight in front him. Man, he never knew that Woohyun would be that scared. Just then his phone rang; he took out his phone from his left pocket and pressed the accepted button. Then he put his phone by his ear and answered it, “Hello, dad?” he said, knew who had called him.

Sooyun who standing beside Sunggyu, was watching him answered the phone. She noticed the tension during the call. She wondered, did something happen.

Finished with the called, Sunggyu put his phone back and then face towards his dongseang. With a sad face he said, “Guys, it’s looks like I have to go. Emergency needed with my father.”

Woohyun then said, “Oh, I guess you have to miss the ride, huh?”

Sunggyu nodded weakly, “Yeah, I guess I have to taste this ride next time.”

With that, what have left it were 6 people. Sungyeol with his brain pop ups an idea. “How about we play scissors paper rock to arrange the sears?”

“How about we arrange partners too?” L stated his opinion. He knew that Sungyeol would defiantly sat with Sooyun and so does Hoya and Dongwoo, which will left him and Woohyun. It’s not that he didn’t like Woohyun or what, but they suddenly become weirdly awkward. L knew that he couldn’t really enjoy his ride and he knew Woohyun would felt the same too.

Sungyeol shook his head, stating that he disagreed with it. “I want to sit with Sooyun.” He firmly said and locked his arm with Sooyun’s arm.

Sooyun sighed with the situation. She didn’t know what to do.

“I agree with L.” Woohyun suddenly said after a moment of silent.  He and L changed gaze as if they knew what both of them thinking, probably the same.

Sungyeol pouted. He clearly showed that he disagreed with it but no matter how much he tired persuaded them, it didn’t work. No one helped him even Sooyun. He looked at Sooyun who was standing beside him and glared. Sooyun in other hand just looked away, not even care about the glare.

In the end, they all played scissor paper rock before their turn to play. It wasn’t long for the game to be end. And the results were not Sungyeol liked.

The first team to be seat in the front row were Sooyun and Woohyun. Sooyun quickly made her way and sat so that she didn’t waste any times. Woohyun slowly walked to his arrangement seat. He cursed in his mind, “Damn, why did I’m so lucky to sit in front.”

Seeing Woohyun nervously waiting in his seat, Sooyun chuckled in her thought. She felt somehow amused with the sight she was watching. “Even choding Sungyeol didn’t scare.” She joking thought. “You aren’t scare, aren’t you?” she asked the person beside her without looking at him.

“Ah?” Woohyun let out it as he was startled by the sudden question. He looked at her, wondering if she was talking to him.

Sooyun suddenly laughed but then she covered it back with putting her hand to .

Woohyun’s eyes turned narrow. He was so sure that she had just laughed about him. “I am not.” he said, then looked forward.

Sooyun scoffed. “Like yeah.”

And then the next team were L and Dongwoo. A weird combination between the cold prince and happy-go-lucky prince yet it still good. It wasn’t like they aren’t friends, it was just they hardly talked to each other much.

“It’s been a long since I’m parent with you L.” Dongwoo began the conversation between them as he settled down his seat.

L put on his safety belt and then chuckled, hearing Dongwoo said. “I guess that does true.” He said, looked at the older person right next to him.

“You were always with Yeollie.”

“And you would always with Hoya.”

Dongwoo let out his famous laughed. “It was like we have a fix partner right?”

“I guess so.”

“Then again L,”

“Yeah?”

“Let’s just enjoy the ride, shall we?”

“I would love to.”

And last but not least, the final team were non other than Sungyeol and Hoya.

Hoya was the first to seat. He sat behind Dongwoo. He looked at his front and felt a bit of disappointed that he couldn’t get to sit in front. He looked at his partner who was sulking with it.

“Aren’t you going to sit, Yeollie?” Hoya asked.

“I wish I could sit beside Sooyun. How come Woohyun got it.” Sungyeol let out his frustration as he sat down.

“Maybe he just got lucky?” Hoya cracked a joke.

“Yeah, so lucky,”

“Are you that hate to sat beside me?” it was Hoya turned to sulk.

“It’s not that, Howon.” Sungyeol called him by his real name. Then he continued saying, “I just want to play with Sooyun. It’s been a long time since I see her when weirdly we in the same school.”

“I see, she seems special to you.”

“Although she was just my cousin but she was more than that. She changed me.” Sungyeol said with teary eyes. Oh, how dramatic he can be?

“But there’s something that I didn’t get.” Hoya said as he was confused.

“What?”

“What happen to you guys that made you guys so distant?”

Sungyeol didn’t reply it fast instead he thought for a better answer. “Something that cannot be explained by words because the truth... hurts.” He said. Man, he could sometimes put some meaningful words, huh? It was so unbelievable.

Hoya didn’t ask more although he was so damn curious with what actually happened because he knew his limit. “Well then, it’s been a long time since I’m alone with you, Yeollie.”

Sungyeol chuckled, “You always stay close with Dongwoo hyung, that’s why.”

“We are soul mate after all.” Hoya cracked a silly joke.

Sungyeol laughed. “Soul mate, huh?”

“What took them so long to begin?” Sooyun mumbled but loud enough for Woohyun to hear.

“So, are you scared already?” Woohyun tried to .

Sooyun scoffed. “As if.” She turned towards him and said, “Unlike you, I actually couldn’t wait for the ride to begin.”

Ignoring Sooyun’s fact, he said, “Most of girls would scare to ride this but you?” Woohyun stopped his words.

“Like you say, most of the girls, frankly I’m not belonging to the most of the girls, Nam Woohyun.” Sooyun with her sharp tongue, said as she emphasized the word most to him.

Woohyun snorted. “I see, I was wondering what kind of girl are you. I guess that you aren’t that sweet and lovely type.” He said. Then he continued, “Yup, it’s a no, no.”

“Think what you like, mister.”

“I did, don’t you worry.”

“I never did worry.”

“Whoa, that was so fun!” Sungyeol was being hyper again.

Sooyun chuckled as she was agreed with him. It was fun and the fact that it was so long since she had played, it was even more fun.

While everyone else busy talking about the ride, there was this one guy kept on having his thought. Confused whether he should or shouldn’t do.

“What are you looking at?” Sooyun asked L, as she noticed that he was looking at her, at least that what she thought.

She was standing right new to him. L couldn’t help but to kept on looking at her. All his past memories with her appeared vividly to him. he just couldn’t help himself from smile a little.

Sooyun noticed L was smiling, well at least a little. She chuckled. “This cold guy,” She thought about him. She let out a soft sighed. She made her decision. She turned towards the boys and then said, “Um, guys, why don’t you guys go back first.”

“Without you?” Sungyeol asked trying to grab the situation.

L snapped from his thought and then listened carefully. He wondered what she wanted to do.

“Yup.” Sooyun nodded her head as she slightly smiled to L who was right next to her.

“What was that?” L thought. Was his eyes were playing with him?

Woohyun sensed something. Snapped from reality, he wondered if his heart was playing with his mind. Why did he always want to know about her? And why did he felt worried when she wasn’t right next to him? Could he be...? He wasn’t sure.

“Why?” Sungyeol whined. 

“I and L need a moment to talk.” Sooyun said.

“With L?” Sungyeol was quite shocked, nevertheless he didn’t really mind with it because of L. He was L after all. The one he trust the most.

“Me?” L was really surprised because the person she wanted to talk was him.

He was curious, so damn curious. Woohyun knew that there was something between them; their past.

“Oh really? Okay then, L makes sure bring her home.” Sungyeol said.

“Aaha...” was all L could say. He speechless and clueless yet he was curious. what will they talked about? He wondered.

“Let’s go.” With Sungyeol lead, everyone started to walk home. 

Woohyun in the other hand walked away with heavy heart. He really wanted to know what they talked about. Why did he felt so damn curious? He wasn’t this type of person. It was so just weird, he felt.
