$ Chapter 7 $

Ding Dong...

The sound of the bell was heard.

“Hah, they already here...” Woohyun mumbled as he walked towards the main door to greet his friends. Along the way, he went to met Sooyun and told about it. Sooyun just nodded her head and then went back doing her work, totally ignored him. Woohyun somehow felt upset by her action but he tried to act like he didn’t care.

Woohyun opened the door and smiled upon seeing Sunggyu. “Hello,” he said, cutely.

Sunggyu rolled his eyes and chuckled, “You don’t have to do cute faces at us, woo.” He pushed Woohyun’s face and went straight inside.

Woohyun pouted like a little child while Sungyeol just having fun giggled. Hoya, Dongwoo and L chuckled and then greeted Woohyun.

“What are we going to play today?” Sungyeol asked as soon as he and Woohyun left. The others had already gone far inside since they were used with Woohyun house already. Sungyeol put his arm around Woohyun’s neck.

“Games,” Woohyun replied and then walked together with Sungyeol towards the living room.

“Is that it?”

“Yes,” Woohyun firmly said but then he continued, “But don’t worry, tomorrow we will be going to the water park!” he excitedly said. He expected a happy reaction from Sungyeol but he didn’t hear a thing. He looked at Sungyeol and said, “Yeol-ah?”

Apparently Sungyeol didn’t hear him. Woohyun watched Sungyeol’s expression in his face. Sungyeol’s eyes widen as if he was shocked. Sungyeol was looking at somewhere. He followed the direction and saw non-other than Sooyun.

Judging by the reaction that Sooyun made, Woohyun thought, “Did they know each other?”

“Sooyun?”

Sooyun let out a smile and shyly said, “Hi, oppa...”

Finished with settling the dinner at the dining room, Sooyun went to find Woohyun. She walked across the living room and met with four boys that were facing back to her hence the boys didn’t know about her. Sooyun totally ignored them and went to the lobby, assumed that Woohyun was there.

Sooyun’s eyes widen as he was shocked. “Oh, Sungyeol oppa?” She thought but then she remembered. “Ah, how could I forget that Sungyeol oppa is Woohyun’s friend?” She thought again.

“Sooyun?”

Sooyun let out a smile and shyly said, “Hi, oppa.”

Sungyeol released his arm from Woohyun’s neck and went straight towards Sooyun. He grabbed Sooyun’s shoulder with both of his arm and dramatically said, “Sooyun, is that you, Sooyun?”

Sooyun’s body was shook by him. She rolled her eyes and chuckled, “It’s me oppa.”

Hearing the commotion that Sungyeol’s made, the four boys looked at Sungyeol’s direction.

“Who’s that?” Dongwoo whispered while his eyes glued on Sooyun.

Hoya shook his head showing that he didn’t know and he tried to get a looked on Sooyun.

“Girlfriend?” L said with his eyes was also glued on Sooyun too.

“No way...” Sunggyu mumbled but loud enough for the other three to hear.

“Did you guys know each other?” Woohyun asked as he walked closer toward the two persons.

Sungyeol ignored Woohyun’s question and asked Sooyun, “Why are you here? In Woohyun’s house wait-” he cut his words off and said, “Don’t tell me that you guys are...”

“No, no, no... It’s not what you think!” Sooyun quickly cut off Sungyeol’s words to prevent misunderstanding. She let go of Sungyeol’s hands on her and said, “I’m...” she couldn’t finished her words. “Oh my, this is so embarrassed...” she thought. She gathered all her courage and said, “I’m kinda working here...”

“I thought you said, you didn’t like this kind of work?” Sungyeol asked, remembering the time that she once said.

Sooyun avoided his gaze and said, “I am...”

“I still don’t understand...”

“Well... it’s a long story...”

“Make it short.”

Sooyun tried to find a way to avoid Sungyeol. She thought and thought and thus she said, “Oppa, I think its better you ask Sungjong.”

Sungyeol didn’t satisfy with her but he scared to ask more because he knew she would turn to a monster if she was annoyed. “If that’s so...” he pouted.

Woohyun crossed both of his arms. He had been watching both of them chatting and he didn’t like the sight at all. He faked his coughed making both of them paid attention towards him. He raised his eyebrow and said, “Mind telling me that if you guys know each other?”

Sungyeol laughed, “Of cause, I know her; she is the Queen of Diamond.”

Sooyun rolled her eyes. “Can’t they not calling me that?” she thought, annoyed.

Woohyun didn’t buy it so instead he asked again, “Don’t play with me Sungyeol, and don’t tell me that you guys are couple?”

“No!” Sooyun quickly denied, very strongly. “Don’t make that kind of conclusion, Nam Woohyun.” She said, glared.

Sungyeol chuckled, “She’s my cousin.” Then he playfully whispered to Woohyun, “Are you jealous?”

“Yah!” Woohyun slapped Sungyeol’s head.

“Aw...” Sungyeol cried for pain and then ran towards his other friends.

Woohyun turned his face toward Sooyun who was glaring at him. “What?” he asked.

Sooyun snorted, “Dinner is ready, tell your friends.” then she walked away towards the kitchen. She met with the other boys who were on the sofa watching her. She politely bowed at them and walked away.

Woohyun sighed. He walked towards his friends and said, “Dinner is ready, let’s go eat.”

“Who’s that?”

“Your girlfriend?”

“No, she not. She’s Woohyun’s maid.”

“You seem to know her, Sungyeol. Are you?”

“She’s my cousin.”

“I never knew that.”

“Maybe because I didn’t tell you guys.”

The boys were chatting until they entered the dining room and ate.

Sunggyu looked at Woohyun. He doesn’t felt good somehow. It was like he had to say it or he will regret it.

“Sunggyu hyung, is there something that you want to talk about?” Woohyun felt that a pair of eye was looking at him. He couldn’t help but felt uncomfortable.

Sunggyu put down his chopstick and then clear his throat. “Woohyun, don’t you think you should introduce your one and only maid to us?” he asked. Then he continued, “Since she is the only maids in this house.”

Woohyun was taken aback by him.

“Yeah, I want to know her too!” Dongwoo said.

Hoya nodded his head in agreement.

“I have to agree on Sunggyu hyung.” L said and then he continued eating his meal.

Sungyeol chuckled. He acted like he didn’t care and sipped his juice.

“Oh, okay, if you say so.” Woohyun finally said. Then he continued before he stood up, “I’ll go and get her.”

“Sooyun-ah,” Woohyun called her.

Sooyun who was typing something on her laptop was a bit startled. She looked at him and said, “What?”

Woohyun scratched his head that aren’t itchy. He smiled weirdly and said, “My friends want to see you, so can you come with me and meet them?”

Sooyun raised her eyebrow. “Why I have to meet them?”

“Oh, please, just come with me.” Woohyun begged. He didn’t realise that he had behaved like that. It was the first time he acted like that especially towards her.

“Okay, okay,” Sooyun finally said. She didn’t want to fight with especially with his friends were there. She gave up and followed him.

Upon arriving booth of Woohyun and Sooyun, the dining room suddenly turned silent. All eyes focus on Sooyun. Sooyun in other hand couldn’t help but felt uncomfortable with the staring.

“Guys, this is Lee Sooyun. She is my personal assistant that my mom hired. As you can see, she also goes to the same school with us. Oh yeah, she also apparently Sungyeol’s cousin.”

Sooyun bowed and said, “Hello.”

Dongwoo stood up and then walked toward them. He smiled widely and gave out his hand to Sooyun. “Hello, I’m Jang Dongwoo.” He introduced himself to her.

Sooyun smiled and took his hand and shook it. “Hello,” she said.

Looking at Dongwoo, Sunggyu and Hoya stood up stimulatily and went towards her. After that, L and Sungyeol joined them.

“Hello, I’m Kim Sunggyu. Apparently I’m the oldest here.” Sunggyu introduced himself with his famous eye smile.

“Hello, uhm...” Sooyun said as she tried to think what she should call him. “Sunbae?”

Sunggyu chuckled, “If you aren’t that awkward, you can me oppa. I don’t mind.”

Sooyun nodded her head and then her eye swift towards the guy next Sunggyu.

“Hello, I’m Lee Howan but I prefer people call me Hoya.” Hoya introduced himself.

Sooyun smiled and nodded her head. She shifted her eyes towards the guy next Hoya and she just smiled.

“Stop your plastic smile, Sooyun. It’s ugly.” L said who apparently standing next to Hoya.

Woohyun, Dongwoo, Sunggyu and Hoya smiled fade upon hearing L’s comment by Sooyun. They all looked at L with confused look. Meanwhile, Sungyeol just laughed out loud.

Sooyun in the other hand, boiled in anger but she held it. She snorted, “Apparently yours ugly too. Didn’t you notice, Kim Myungsoo?”

“She seems to know him by a lot and a weird kinf of relationship.” Woohyun thought.

“Maybe I did or maybe I didn’t.” L said. He shrugged with his poker face. “Looks like we will be seeing a lot since you are Woohyun’s hyung personal assistant.” L said.

Sooyun just silently listened to him. She was too lazy to argue with him. She knew how tempered he could be.

Sensing a tense atmosphere, Sungyeol loudly said, “I don’t need to introduce myself right?” then he laughed.

Sooyun just let out a small laughed. She loved when Sungyeol tried to make everyone happy. But her heart felt uneasy as she looked at him, Kim Myungsoo. She had pretty much avoid him for these years and she knew he was mad because of it.

L looked at her, totally ignored Sungyeol’s babbling. He noticed that Sooyun looked at him too. Yes, he was mad at her but still, he knew he still loved her. “Why did you avoid me, Sooyun?” L thought.

Woohyun noticed the staring between L and Sooyun. He couldn’t help but wondered. Did they know each other that much?

“Yah, L, how could you say that to Sooyun. She is pretty indeed.” Hoya said as he wrapped his arm around L’s neck.

L was a bit startled by Hoya but he remained poker face. “Oh, really, I guess my eyes aren’t well today.” He said, smirked.

“Say sorry to her.” Sunggyu said, crossed his arm.

“It’s okay. I didn’t mind at all.” Sooyun lied. Indeed she felt sad with it but she knew it was her fault that he acted like that towards her.

“You are too kind, Sooyun.” Sungyeol thought and then patted her head. He smiled to her.

Sooyun felt someone was patting her head and it was no other than Sungyeol. She noticed he smiled to her, hence she smiled back.

“If that so, okay then.” Sunggyu said. He shoots a look at L and said, “Better watch you mouth, L.”

L gasped but still he remained his poker face. “Arraso...” he said.

That night, Sooyun couldn’t sleep. She looked at the clock.

“1 in the morning...” Sooyun mumbled. She sighed.

Sooyun couldn’t sleep indeed. She stood up from the bed and walked out from her room. She went for a walk.

Sooyun walked toward the kitchen that weren’t that far from her room to grab for a drink.

“Sooyun?”

A voice suddenly called out her name from back. Sooyun couldn’t help but to felt a bit scared. She gathered all her braveness, turned back and said, “Who’s that?”

“So, it is you.”

“Woohyun?” Sooyun said as she noticed Woohyun who walked closer towards her. It was dark indeed; hence she could only saw his face.

“What are you doing here?” Woohyun said. He couldn’t help but felt weird.

“Well, I couldn’t sleep so, I want to grab some drink. And why are you not sleeping yet?”

Woohyun chuckled, “The same case with you.” He grabbed her hand and then walked toward the kitchen. “Let’s go, I want to drink some milk too.”

Sooyun was startled by his action but she remained silent. She didn’t know what to react hence she just acted like she didn’t care and followed him.
