It’s recess. Omma brought me kimbap and I eat it alone under a cool big tree on my kinder’s play ground. I’m eating as I watch some of the big grade kids bullying little kids like me. I stop eating as I watch one of my classmates is crying after bullied by big kids.

“Ya ! Babo ya ! Such a chicken !”, the big kid yells at him. His gang laughs behind him.

I put aside my kimbap and walks towards them.

The big kid is going to bully him again but he stops as he sees me in front of him with angry face.

“Ya , Hyung ! Geumanhaejo !”, I say.

The big kid and his gang only laugh and now they’re looking at me.

“Ya ! CF boy ! What’s your problem ?!”, he yells at me. I shiver a little but then I gather my strength.

The bullied boy is now standing behind me and whisper to me.

“Nicky-ah, that hyung took my favorite power ranger badge”.

Oho! Stealing! Andwae !!!

“Ya ! Hyung! Give back his badge !”, I say.

 The big kid chuckle, “Who are you ordering me, Isang boy ?!”

“Give it back or I tell Kim sem !”, I say with high note now.

“Sirho yo !”, The big kid says and punch my cheek.

I didn’t prepare my self so I got hit. Ouch, it hurts, and I lay on the ground. Slowly, I get up and face him again. I shoot my leg to his leg and take my friends arm and run away to the teacher’s room. We run fast while the big kid is hurt by my shoot.

“Ya ! Mommy’s boy!”, the big kid yells at me, but I ignore it as I walk into the teacher’s room. I give him a “merong” as a return.

“Omma, I love being a couch potato like this…with you beside me”, Khun says as he lay lazily on the bed and Vic in his huge arm curling to him.

Vic laughs and rests her head on his broad chest.

“Stop it, Appa”, Vic says as she giggles a little.

“It’s been long since just the two of us like this”, this time, Khun says with a seductive voice.

Vic is trying to draws away from him, but he’s much stronger to grab her arm and brings her to his hug again.

“Let’s just stay like this, Omma”, Khun says as he closes his eyes and hugs her tight.

Vic sighs and say, “But I have to make lunch for us, Appa”.

Khun takes her chin up to him and bring his face closer to her. She accepts his kiss and responds to it as she let her tongue battle with his.

But suddenly, in the middle of the tongue battle, Khun’s phone rings.

Khun draws away from Vic and growl, “Ugh! Romantic scene crasher”

“Aigoo…pick it up, Appa”, Vic orders him to pick it up.

Khun frowns as he doesn’t know the caller number, yet still he picks it up.

“Yeoboseyo ?”

“Yeoboseyo, Nichkhun-ssi. This is Kim sem from the Kinder”, the caller greets.

“Ah, ye, Kim sem. What’s the matter ? Is Nicky’s class finish earlier ?”, Khun asks to Kim sem. Besides him, Vic is trying to listen as the caller is from their son’s teacher.

“Yes, we’re finished but there’s something I need to tell you”, Kim sem continues. “Nicky had a fight today, and he got a bruise on his cheek”.

Khun eyes grows wide and as in shock he shouts, “Bwoh ?!”. Vic nearly jumps in frightened as she hears her husband shout like that.

“Algesseumnida, Kim sem. I’ll be right there”, he continues as he controls his emotion. He ends the call and get up from bed. He changes to a casual outfit to pick up Nicky.

“What is it, Appa ?”, Vic asks with worry.

Khun turns his head to her and says with tense expression, “Uri hwangja had a fight today”.

“Omo ! My son…is..is he okay ? Did he got hurt ? Ottohke ?”, Vic turns into panic and starts pacing around in furious.

Khun kisses her forehead and tries to calm her down, “He got a bruise on his cheek, Omma. Let’s hope its okay”.

Then Khun left the furious young Vic Omma, who’s feeling terrible now after she heard what happened to her only son.

Appa storms into the principal room. I’m sitting with JungMin, my friend that get bullied and his father, beside him, sits Kim sem and in front of me sits my sunbae that bullied my friend, his father also came to head the principal.

“Nicky-ah!!”, Appa says as he holds me into his hug. He pats my back couple of times and whispers, “It’ll be fine,boy. It’s okay, Appa’s here”.

Then Appa holds me and sits me next to him. Kim sem and the principal starts the hearing.

“Okay, Appas. Today we’re here to hold a hearing of 2 of our students and sons fight session this afternoon”, The principal says.

I grip into Appa’s hand tightly. I don’t wanna get blamed for it. I fight for the right thing, Appa.

Then, Kim Sem takes in, “So, this afternoon, Han JungMin was bullied by Park NamJil and Nichkey saw it. He stood up and help JungMin. Nichkey got beaten by NamJil but then he shoot his leg to NamJil’s leg. Nichkey got a bruise on his left and NamJil got bruise on his right leg”.

Park NamJil’s Appa starts furious, “Kim Sem, NamJil isn’t this kind of kid. How would you know that this Thai kid got bruise on his cheek after beaten by NamJil instead of he hit himself on the ground ?”

Kim sem answers, “I heard from Nichkey’s explanation, mr. Park”

Then mr. Park snaps away, “And you believe him ?! My NamJil won’t hurt anything. Even flies!”

I grasp Appa’s hand straight away. But nothing comes out from my mouth. No, NamJil did really beat me!!!

Appa clears his throat and says, “I’m sorry to interrupt, mr. Park. I knew my son very well. Nichkey won’t lie about such thing. I taught him everyday that he mustn’t tell lies. And judging from the bruise, this isn’t the kind that made from falling into grounds. There are no scratches from small rocks that used to be on the grounds”

“Ya! Mr. Horvejkul! Are you telling me that my son DID really beat your son ?!!! Why would he do that ?!!!”, mr. Park yells to Appa immediately.

I feel Appa’s grip tighten to me too, and I feel his muscles tensing. Appa must be really angry but he’s trying to control his emotion.

“Because mr. Horvejkul son’s helping my son”, mr. Han says and trying to clear the situation. “That’s right, isn’t, son ?”.

Han JungMin nods to his Appa, “Ne, Appa. Nichkey helped me. And I saw that NamJil hyung beat him up”.

Kim sem cuts and says, “So, mr. Park, I’m not lying and neither did Nichkey. NamJil did beat Nichkey until he bruised”.

Mr. Park still seems not satisfied with the situation, and NamJil just keeps quiet and still haven’t said sorry.

“But this Thai kid isn’t the only one that got bruise! My NamJil got it too, thanks to him !!!”, mr. Park nearly blown up the room by saying it out loud and pointing to me.

Appa’s ears turns red. Uh oh. He’s angry now.

“Mr. Park, I’m so sorry but could you stop pointing my son like that and stop referring him as “Thai Kid”? ”, Appa says as he tries to calm down.

“Mwo ?! I can call him whatever I like, mr. superstar!”, mr. Park says again, sarcasticly.

Then as I feel the situation is getting bad, Principal Lee cuts right away.

“Okay gentlemen, can we get to the point now, shall we ?”, Principal Lee says. The three Appas listens carefully.

“So, as we cleared with the situation, I want NamJil to apologize to JungMin and Nichkey”, Principal says.

There’s a disappointment in Mr. Park’s expression. But Appa then says, “Not only NamJil, Nichkey would like to apologize to NamJil too”.

Mr. Park smiles, “Now THAT’s even !”.

Then Appa whispers, “Son, say sorry to NamJil for shooting your leg to him”.

I nod, “Hyung, mianhaeyo (I’m sorry)” and bow 90 degrees to NamJil Hyung and his Appa.

“Now, NamJil turns”, Kim sem says.

NamJil stands up and bows deep, “Mianhaeyo, JungMin, Nichkey. Jeongmal Mianhaeyo (I’m really sorry)” .

Then mr. Park stands up follows by Appa and JungMin’s Appa. The three of them bows deep and all saying sorry.

Then Principal Lee dismisses us.

On the car, heading back to house, Appa keeps quiet. I’m soo afraid to start to say anything.

“Ung… Appa…”, I say slowly.

Appa looks to me while driving, “What’s wrong, Nicky-ah ?”

“Mian…hae, Appa..”, I say and nearly whisper. Slowly, my tears fall down.

I wipe it with my hand, “Mianhae, Appa…Jeongmal Mianhae…I wont fight at school again, I promise you and Omma…”

Appa stops the car in front of an ice cream shop. He looks at me deep and smiles, he wipes my tears and kisses my forehead and pulls me into his chest. He hugs me deep.

“Aigoo…my son. I know you wont doing this instead of emergency. And helping your friend can count as emergency. But promise Appa that you won’t fight anymore. Omma really furious when Kim sem said that you got bruise”. I wipe my tears again and nod as a promise to Appa.

“Now, you want ice cream ?”, Appa asks and raise his eyebrows playfully.

I laugh and nods happily.

At home, Vic Omma is deadly furious. She’s pacing the floor, walking around back and forth , looking at the clock and checking her phone whether Khun Appa calls her or not.

“I’m gonna call them”, Vic Omma picks her cellphone and dials Khun Appa. Then they get connected.

“Yeoboseyo! Omma!”, Khun Appa picks up.

“Where are you both ? I’m soo furious you know ? How's my sweety ? Is he alright ?”, Vic Omma rambles as she really worry about her only son.

Khun Appa laughs, “Don’t worry Omma, he’s fine. We’re eating ice cream now”.

Vic Omma’s eyes grows and yells to her husband, “Ya ! Appa ! How dare you eat ice cream without taking me ?!”

“Mian…I need to cheer up our son, I’m gonna do Boys Day Out today with him”, Khun Appa explains.

“Hhhh…Okay…but promise me, you’ll bring me Green Tea ice cream”, Vic Omma threatens him.

“Ne.. Arasso…”, Khun Appa answers as he laughs.

“Or… I won’t be making any dinner….” And click, Vic Omma hangs up immediately as she angry to her boys.

Khun Appa left with confusedness being hang up like that.

“Omma is angry, Nicky-ah”, Khun Appa says. Nicky laughs while eating ice cream.

“Let’s buy Green Tea ice cream and Flowers before we go home, okay ?”, Khun Appa says as he wipes the chocolate sauce on Nicky’s lips. Nicky laughs happily and nods agree.

And so that’s another story from The Horvejkul family.

*okay, Finally I update the story,,sorry for disappointing many of you. Hopefully I can do better next and maybe I'm planing to make more Khuntoria scene in next chapter,,please anticipate...Kamsahamnida,chingu ya :))
