“You look beautiful, Soojin.” Chunji smiled.
“Now, let’s go and show you off.”

Chunji and I drove to school today.

He said he wanted me “delivered” properly.

I feel like an item in a store, waiting to be bought.
Now, I’m sure that isn’t a good thing, but I know Chunji has only good intentions.

“What?” I asked, confused.

“Yea! It won’t hurt. If anything, it’d benefit you.” He said.

“But… why do I have to change? Can’t I just be myself?” I asked.

“Babe, you will always be yourself. I’m not asking you to change. I’m only suggesting a little make-over.” He said, looking deep into my eyes.
“Don’t get me wrong though! You’re beautiful just the way you are! I just think it’s time to show people what they’ve been underestimating.”
“I won’t force you though, my love.” He whispered in my ear.

I smacked him on the head, and pushed him aside.

“Okay.” I said.
“I’ll do as you ask, but only for today. As for the future, I’ll decide on whether I like the change, or not.”

Chunji smiled, and picked me up with a tight hug.
“Of course, beautiful.”

“Is that his girlfriend?”

“Who’s that girl?”

Hearing everyone gossiping made me uncomfortable.
I didn’t know whether to think positive or negative.

Then I felt an arm hug my wait.
Chunji, my knight.

“Don’t worry, everything’s okay.” He reassured me.
 

A soft smile formed on my face. I trust him.

“Yes, yes, everyone. I know my girl is gorgeous.” Chunji proudly said.
“Now, move along. You’re making her feel uncomfortable.” He said, pushing everyone aside, leading me to my homeroom.

“I’ll see you later, Soojin.” He said, and placed a soft kiss on my cheek.



“Soojin?” The teacher called roll.
“Here.” I said, softly.
 

The class gasped.

“That’s Soojin??!”

“Whoa! She’s hot!”

I heard people say good and bad things about me.

Man… maybe this wasn’t a good idea.
I feel even more out of place…

“My, my! Well don’t you look nice today, Ms. Soojin.” The teacher said, smiling.

I blushed and thanked her.


After homeroom, we were dismissed to first period.
I was making my way to class, when Chunji popped beside me.

“Well hey there beautiful. Can I get your number?” He winked.

I lightly punched his arm, letting out a small chuckle.
Then, I looked back down to the floor.

“Hey, what’s wrong Soojin?” Chunji asked.
“Why the long face?”

“I don’t know if this was a good idea, Chunji.” I said, letting out a sigh.

“What do you mean? Is someone saying something bad?” He asked, worried.
“I’ll take care of them right away!” He showed me his balled fist.

“No, no. It’s just that I’m not used to all the attention…” I said.
 

“Oh… well you don’t have to stay that way, Soojin.”
“I have all your stuff in the car, if you want me to go get them.” He said.

“No, it’s fine. I like the new me. I just need some time to get used to it.” I reassured him.
“Would you stay with me?” I asked.

Chunji pulled me into a soft hug, and said, “Of course I will. I’m your knight, aren’t I?”
