Four

I stepped out on my balcony, breathing in the fresh spring air.

“Ahhh~” I cooed, stretching my arms.
“Time’s going by so fast!”

“Yes, it is.” I heard an unfamiliar voice say.

I looked down to find a really pretty boy with a bike looking up at me.

“Hello there!” the boy said, waving.

“Hello...” I said, slightly waving back.
“Are you new around here?” I asked.
I’ve never seen him around the neighborhood, and I don’t think he goes to my school…

“Actually, I am.” He said.
“I’m Lee Chanhee, nice to meet you!” he yelled.

I let out a small chuckle.
“I’ll come down so you won’t lose your voice.” I said, and made my way downstairs.

“I’m Park Soojin.” I said, making my way towards him.
“It’s nice to meet you.” I extended my hand out.

We shook hands, and smiled.

“So, you just moved into the neighborhood?” I asked.

“Yeah. My dad’s work transferred him to Seoul, so here I am.” Chanhee said.
“Hey… You wouldn’t happen to go to Kiririn?” he asked.

“Of course I do! All the kids in the neighborhood go there.” I replied.
“Oh, are you going to start going to Kiririn?”

“Yep! It’s a good thing I met you! Now I know I’ll have a friend on the first day of school~” He said, smiling.
“Aw, well, for sure you’ll make plenty more.” I said, laughing.
“And admirers~”

He looked at me confused.
“Admirers?”

“You’re hot! And you also have a cute side to you, so that’ll gain more girls.” I said.

He let out a small chuckle.
“You’re really direct, aren’t ya?” he said.

I nodded confidently.
“It’s one of my awesome characteristics.”
“So, don’t think just because you’re cute and all, I’m gonna be nice to you!” I said.

He smiled.
“I like you.” He said.
“You’re different from all the other girls I’ve met.”

“Heh~” I cooed.
“Of course I am.”
“I, Mr. Chanhee, am unique.” I winked.

And that was the start of a beautiful friendship.
