After I sent the email, I let out a huge sigh of relief.

Iba talaga ang feeling when you accomplished something.

I was stretching my arms and checking my phone to see if may messages si Winter sa’kin when I heard a ping-

Someone already replied to the email I just sent.

Si boss C.

I glanced at the time sa phone ko, it’s already 3:30 in the morning. Gising pa siya.

Rins??! Did you just finish the strat plan for this month???? It’s not yet due till next week ha! Omg

I laughed at the informal email I got from my boss.

Yes, that’s what I just did lang naman for hours, sacrificing my sleep.

Wow, it’s just Wednesday today… and I can’t believe I got the rest of the week off.

True enough, I really did finish my workload this week as early as possible so I can have more time with Winter pag dating niya dito, without the distractions of work.

Later tonight, Winter will arrive here.

It’s been a week since I got here sa Mexico…

….a week since I last saw my wife.

I bit my lip and stifled a smile.

I miss her so much….

Sumilip ako sa view ng suite ko.

Mexico’s weather is so nice ha!

It's raining at kumikidlat kidlat pa and I think there’s a brewing storm.

Anyway, it’s still nice!

I haven't gotten any sleep yet but amazingly, I don’t feel tired?

Should I send a selfie to Winter?

I checked sa desk mirror if may nag-form na dark circles under my eyes.

Wew!

Buti wala naman.

I took my phone and captured a couple of shots.

The things I do for her…

Naalala ko yung time that I impulsively booked Winter a ticket here, without any plan whatsoever, just fueled by my longing for her kahit wala pang isang araw kaming magkahiwalay and yung ka-clumsyhan niya sa bahay namin.

Karina: I'm booking you a flight to Mexico.

Winter:

Winter: …weh??

Karina: Yup. I've booked this coming Sunday. So meron ka pang one week para asikasuhin mga dapat asikasuhin sa shop.

Winter: Sa Mexico, sest?!!

Karina: (taas kilay)

Winter: Wow……… ohmygod. Gaano ako katagal diyan?

Karina: Di ko alam… sa tingin mo kaya gano katagal pwede?

Winter: Forever?

Karina: Sige, forever ha... dito ka na tumira. Mauuna na akong umuwi in 3-4 months siguro.

Winter: (laughs)... ay babe! May naalala ako!

Karina: Ano yun?

Winter: Wait eto... (tumayo at naglakad papunta sa labas)

Winter: Dumating kanina yung inorder kong birdcage para kay Money. Syempre, wala pa si Money... pagbalik na lang natin tayo kumuha. Pero eto na siya, nauna na yung bahay niya… jaraaaan! (pinakita yung cage na nakasabit na)

Karina: Oh, hinang mo na agad?

Winter: Yup.. tapos.. bumili na rin ako ng mga- (yumuko)

Karina: Hon, careful baka mauntog ka-

(LOUD SOUND)

Karina: (napatayo) Sest!

Winter: (nahulugan ng birdcage sa ulo)

Karina: Okay ka lang??

Winter: Ow…. (napahawak sa ulo) (tiningnan ng masama yung cage) defective ata ‘to ah…

Karina: Nasaktan ka?

Winter: Nagkasugat ata babe.. pero di naman masakit..

Karina: Sest naman eh…

We made a scene at the airport.

Well, not really a scene-scene, I just saw a lot of people turned their heads at us.

Ako lang ang nakasundo kay Winter, although gusto sana ni Ning, she has a lot of stuff na aasikasuhin pa raw.

It felt like we’re in some romantic film.

Winter came up running to me ba naman sa arrival area and hugged me so tight and spinned us around until we both couldn’t breathe.

In my peripheral vision, I saw a lot of people smiling warmly at us.
