SIXTH
I Was Wrong“Smile! Okay, tilt your head slightly on the right… There… And smile, Nayeon-ssi, smile!”
Im Nayeon is having her photoshoot for a magazine cover, but she can’t seem to focus when something is bothering her mind.
“Can we take a break, please? Ms. Im is kind of distracted today. Please cheer her up first before we proceed to take pictures again, okay?” The photographer warmly said.
Nayeon is an extroverted human being, so it is noticeable when she’s feeling down or having something that’s bothering her.
“Do you want us to be here, or do you want to be alone?” Her manager asked as they went into the dressing room.
“I prefer to be alone for a moment, I’ll call you later, Sis.” With that, the manager exited the room.
Nayeon is so worried about her cousin.
She knows that Tzuyu doesn’t deserve to be cheated on.
But what makes her depressed is when she realized how much her cousin loves Myoui Mina.
She suddenly remembered their conversation a few weeks ago, when she went to the couple’s place to talk to Tzuyu.
---
“There’s something you need to know,” Nayeon said as she stared intently at her cousin’s eyes.
She then held Tzuyu’s hands and caress them with her thumb.
“Mina might be… cheating on y-you.”
She averted her gaze from Tzuyu when she felt the younger slightly clench her fist.
Nayeon, this time, looked at Tzuyu’s eyes.
She saw a hint of pain and disappointment which the younger quickly hide.
“Tzuyu is so good at pretending.” Nayeon thought.
Tzuyu didn’t speak.
She knows that Mina is lacking so much time spending with her, but she just can’t believe it when she thought of Mina cheating on her with another girl.
Now, she was the one who averted her gaze from her unnie and stared at the window instead.
The older sighed and decided to continue what she wants the younger to know.
“One of my friends saw her, with her secretary. Just a few days ago. It was on midnight, and she saw Mina and the girl entered a condo unit which seemed to be Jennie’s.”
Tzuyu’s eyes are tearing up, so Nayeon went to her back and hugged the latter.
“Unnie, Mina won’t do that to me, right? She loves me so much. I can feel it. We’ve been together for years and I know that she’s sincere when she tells me she loves me.” Tzuyu started sobbing.
“It’s probably not Mina, right?”
“I don’t want to show you this, but this is the only way that I can convince you that what I am saying, no matter how impossible it sounds for you, is true.”
Nayeon showed Tzuyu a picture of her girlfriend with Jennie.
The secretary is clinging to Mina’s arms while Mina is smiling at the girl as they are staring at each other.
“Oh, wow. They looked so happy… and in love.” Tzuyu’s voice cracked.
Nayeon is tearing up as well.
She hates to see Tzuyu in this situation.
She just comforted the younger until she no longer hears the latter sobbing.
“So, what are you planning to do now?” Nayeon decided to break the silence.
They are sitting on the sofa as Tzuyu’s head is on her unnie’s shoulders.
The younger answered, “Nothing.” And smiled bitterly.
“Nothing? Are you not going to confront your girlfriend?” Nayeon asked Tzuyu.
“For what? To make our relationship drift apart?”
Tzuyu sit up straight looked at her Nayeon-unnie’s eyes.
“It’s just one mistake, Unnie. My love for her is bigger than the pain that I am feeling right now. Maybe Mina has her reasons for it. If she loves me, this will be the first and last time that I will hear about this.” Tzuyu sadly smiled.
“If she loves me, she wo
