“Tzuyu-ah, can we talk?” Mina gathered all her courage to approach Tzuyu after they finished having dinner. She composed herself for a few moments before crossing her fingers on her back and walking towards her ex to ask her for a conversation.

“Oh, sure.” Tzuyu stood up and followed Mina.

The ex-lovers walked under the moonlight, embracing the peacefulness and the fresh air of the night. It is currently past 10 pm and the two just walked quietly, with no one breaking the silence until their feet brought there into the same lake where Nayeon and Tzuyu spent time together.

Tzuyu sat on a log near the water and Mina decided to sit beside her leaving a proper distance between the two of them. She doesn’t want Tzuyu to feel uncomfortable with her.

Silence enveloped the atmosphere, and it was Mina who decided to break the ice.

“When did that happen, Tzuyu-ah?” Tzuyu looked at Mina and she saw the latter just staring at the lake.

Tzuyu took her time to stare at Mina. She still memorized everything about the girl. Her eyes, her nose, her beautiful constellation of moles, and her lips.

Tzuyu smiled.

Suddenly, Mina turned her head towards her which shocked Tzuyu. The two stared at each other for a solid three minutes, doing their best to stop themselves from doing anything that one of them might regret.

Mina moved her gaze from Tzuyu’s eyes to the latter’s lips, while she unconsciously her lips using her tongue.

Tzuyu noticed this so she immediately shifted her gaze to the water in front of them. “That incident?” She innocently asked.

Mina woke up from her thoughts and hummed.

“It doesn’t matter anymore, Mina.” The younger said while tapping her legs rhythmically, trying to ease the nervousness building inside her.

She doesn’t want Mina to know, but she’s already cornered.

“I want to know, Tzuyu. Please.” Mina looked at Tzuyu’s eyes, begging. Her eyes are on the verge of crying again. She didn’t have plans of crying tonight but she can’t take it anymore.

She’s hurt.

She’s having regrets. Too much of it.

“But Mina…” Tzuyu felt something burning inside her. She doesn’t want to cry, but her tears betrayed her. The two just sobbed quietly together, no one dared to make a move.

“I was preparing for our 8th anniversary that day. I went to the grocery store to buy some ingredients that I will be needed in making your favorite pasta…” Tzuyu bitterly smiled and wiped her tears. “I saw the same delivery man who delivered a bouquet of roses for me a few months before that day. He smiled at me, so I smiled back because I did recognize him.” Tzuyu looked at Mina and caught her already staring at Tzuyu with her eyes b with tears.

“Turns out, he’s not a delivery man.” Mina went closer to Tzuyu and wiped the younger’s tears using her hands.

“The man who me was Ok Taecyeon, Mina."

"Your ex-best friend.”

Mina didn’t know how to react to what she just heard. She felt so much anger and guilt about what happened.

Ok Taecyeon was her high school best friend. They broke apart when Mina realized that Taecyeon and her liked the same girl which is Chou Tzuyu. Tzuyu never met him in person, so she didn’t recognize him at their first encounter.

Tzuyu saw Mina’s eyes turn black as if anger is eating her whole system. Her neck veins are becoming more visible indicating that she is now fuming with anger.

So, Tzuyu engulfed Mina in a hug. She hugged Mina tightly to calm the girl. The two cried together, feeling the same level of pain and sadness.

“I’m sorry, Tzuyu-ah. I’m so sorry for everything. It was entirely my fault. I’m sorry for not taking care of you and for disappointing you. I am so sorry for being a jerk, for hurting you… and for letting you go.”

Mina spoke between her sobs. Tzuyu just cried. She didn’t reply to everything that Mina have said, instead, she hugged Mina even tighter.

It was enough to tell Mina her overwhelming and confusing feelings inside of her.

After a few minutes of hugging each other, Tzuyu slowly pulled away from the hug. Silence enveloped their atmosphere once again.

Mina still felt so guilty about everything. She wants to hurt Taecyeon. She wants to hit him until he can’t breathe anymore. But she knows that Tzuyu won’t be happy if she does that, so she mentally cursed Taecyeon instead.

She swore to herself that she will take revenge for the woman she loves. She will make Taecyeon feel the pain that he had caused Tzuyu, even more of that pain.

It was around midnight when Mina decided to break the silence again.

“I’ve missed this.” She said, hoping to get a certain reaction from the other girl, but Tzuyu remained still, watching the stars in the sky. The moonlight gives a dim light to her beautiful face and Mina can’t help but fall for her even more.

Chou Tzuyu will never be ugly in her eyes.

The girl must have been stressed with her motherhood, but she’s still looking ethereal.
