Taeyeon is having the best time of his life. Being at home makes him so happy because he can be with his video games all day long until Tiffany comes home. He already get used to using his right hand to hold his controller. He shut himself from the outside world.

 

Yuri will come visit him every weekends to play with him and sometimes they will go on a roadtrip just like now. The two haven’t gone home and it is almost dinner time.

 

“Fany, what time are they coming home?”, Sooyoung ask

 

They just finished cooking dinner for all of them because Tiffany have a big surprise for Taeyeon. “I don’t know. None of them would pick up their phone”,

 

Sooyoung joins her on the living room. “It’s been a while since we had an alone time together. How are you?”,

 

“I am really happy right now. There is nothing that I can ask for”,

 

“That makes me really envious of you. I wish I could find my happiness too”, Sooyoung replies

 

Tiffany suddenly remembers what she’s been trying to ask her long time ago. She switched off the TV that Sooyoung protested because she’s watching a good movie. “Hey, I’ve been meaning to ask you this, what’s the real score between you and Yuri? You’ve been going out a lot”,

 

“Yuri is a good man. Very supportive. A gentleman and not to mention he is a funny guy. We have a lot in common. But-“,

 

“But?“,

 

Sooyoung grab a beer and heave a deep sigh. “We tried to give it a shot but it didn’t worked. And both of us don’t know why until we realize that it is better to stay as friends. Being friends is better because we both can do what we want without thinking of having to hurt each other. Yeah, Yuri and I are friends”,

 

“You will find someone when you least expected it. True love waits. Cheer up! I am not used to this side of yours!”,

 

They talked about everything that they have missed due to their busy schedules at work. Their topic then shifted to Tiffany’s sudden gain weight and unusual eating habits. Sooyoung knew that there is something her best friend is not telling her.

 

She turn sideways so that she is facing Tiffany who is drinking lemonade that she hated the sourness before. “So, how far you?”,

 

Tiffany chokes on her lemonade with Sooyoung’s question. Her eyes widen in surprise and nervousness. “What- I don’t know what you’re talking about. Can you call Yuri again? The foods are getting cold”,

 

“Come one, I know you to well. You can lie to everyone but you can’t with me, remember? So, how far a you now?”, she repeats her question.

 

“How did you know?”,

 

“Well, look a what you are drinking right now. Since when did you fell in love with lemonade? And also, you’re gaining a little bit of weight and it’s becoming noticeable, your baby bump. You’ve been wearing oversized dresses or suits too”,

 

Tiffany knew that there is no way that she will be able to lie about it. All along she thought that she’s been hiding it pretty well because no one’s been asking her about it. “Fine. 3 months. I found out about this through the annual company medical check up”,

 

“Does Taeyeon know about it? I bet no. You should tell Taeyeon about it”, Sooyoung gets excited that her voice is really loud that Tiffany had cover .

 

“What is it that she should tell me?”, Taeyeon came out of no where and look at the two suspiciously

 

Tiffany let out a nervous laugh while giving her best friend a deadly glare. “She means to say is that I should tell you that you two are so late! I told you to go home with dinner time! Where have you been?”,

 

“Ahh, we got lost in time at the mall”, Taeyeon nonchalantly replies

 

“Fany, you should check how much this guy spend on new video games”, said Yuri while showing a big plastic bag full of what it seems to be a new video games and controllers.

 

It is boys versus girls making sure that their secrets are kept very well and is very evident between the 4 of them. They just play along it and proceeds to have dinner together. While eating, the two boys won’t stop telling them about how they spend the whole day together.

 

Taeyeon seems to be happier than ever after the incident. Even though his injuries is still not fully healed, Taeyeon seems to really different in terms of his behaviours. He doesn’t get mad that easily anymore and he also doesn’t mention either any of his family or Jessica which is a good sign of him moving on.

 

“Where’s your medicine pouch?”,

 

“I-uh. It’s in the car. I left it on the passenger’s seat”, he replies totally lying. He is glancing to Yuri who is avoiding him.

 

“Where is your medicines pouch?”, Tiffany repeated.

 

Taeyeon dejectedly hand it over to his girlfriend and nervously waiting to hear another scolding from her. Massaging her forehead, she took deep breath. “Great. You have 5 painkillers here and now you only have 3. What did you do? You wouldn’t take 2 if you only went for a joy ride and bought some video games! Yuri!”,

 

“I’m sorry, Fany. It was my fault. When we were buying some video games, I saw a little girl running around. I played with her for a while then Taeyeon came he too played with her for a bit but the dad didn’t like it. He pushed Taeyeon and he accidentally hit him on the ribs”,

 

“Does it hurts a lot? Want me to bring you to the hospital?”, Tiffany panicked

 

Taeyeon stops her from overreacting by holding her hand that was on top of the table. “The painkillers works. I’m not in pain anymore”,

 

“Next time don’t play with other kids without their parents. I can understand the dad, it is not safe anymore outside but he should have listen to the both of you before reacting like that”,

 

“That little girl, she reminds me of our baby. I miss her so much that’s why I wanted to play with even for a split second”,

 

Their friends already know Winter because Taeyeon had a slipped of tongue during one weekend. He can’t stop comparing other kids of the same age as his daughter that lead him to tell them the truth.

 

Yuri and Sooyoung had no idea that he adopted a child. And Yuri was so disappointed on him that he even lay down the brotherhood card on his best friend. They are so excited to meet the little girl and they want to spoil her with everything.

 

Sooyoung kicked Tiffany under the table motioning her to go get the surprise. She is so excited to see the reaction of the boys when they see it.

 

“Excuse me for a while. I need to use the toilet. Be right back. Soo, serve them their favorite ice cream”,

 

“Finally! You’re the best, love!”,

 

Instead of going to the toilet, Tiffany went upstairs. She went to their bedroom and slowly open the door. The light are dimmed and she can see that the little girl suddenly woke up. “Hi, baby. Sorry to wake you up. Are you not yet hungry?”,

 

“Milk please”, Winter said with her tiny little voice and she is trying to keep her eyes open.

 

“Okay, mommy will make your milk. Come, let’s go down”, she scope her up and baby Winter hug her on the neck before going back to sleep.

 

Meanwhile at the dining room, Taeyeon and Yuri are happily eating their ice cream. Both of them have no idea about the surprise that is waiting for them. “Why is she taking so long at the toilet?”

 

“She ate a lot. She needs to release a lot too”, Yuri jokes and both of them laugh so hard with their silly jokes.

 

Tiffany returns to the dining room with “Keep you voice down. Someone is already sleeping”,

 

“Who’s sleeping-“, he covers his mouth upon seeing who she is referring to. His all of sudden are filled with tears. “My baby! When did she arrive? Is she okay to leave the hospital now? How about her medicines? Did they gave you everything that she needs to take? How about-“,

 

“How about you shut your mouth and make her milk. The formula are on top of the counter”,

 

Taeyeon run to make a milk for the first. Just like every first time dad he carefully read the instructions and contents of the formula. The three of them are watching him figuring out how many scoops he should put on the bottle.

 

“I have never imagine that one day I will see him struggle in computations like this. If I didn’t know, I will really believe that he is the real father of our cute baby”, Yuri said while playing with Winter’s little hand.

 

“I know right. She is really his mini me. He will be a great dad. I mean he is already now, Fany”,

 

It melts her heart every time they will tell her how great Taeyeon will be as a father. Tiffany cannot wait to tell him that they are having another baby. They have been talking about it and Taeyeon already have list of what he will with their kids. He wanted to have a daddy and kids day without her.

 

“Love, 6 scoops or it will take us forever. Faster she might cry already!”,

 

“Okay okay”,

 

They went to the living room and place Winter on the couch. They can’t stop looking at her. When Taeyeon returns with the bottle of milk, he ask Tiffany if he can feed her. He slowly sits on the couch beside his daughter and carefully feed her.

 

Yuri also sits closer to Winter and still holding her little hand. The girls let them have a quiet time with the baby and return to the dining room to clean up. “Taeyeon really adore his daughter. His eyes are glowing while looking at her”,

 

“He can’t stop talking about her even before. He has a folder on his phone where he saved all of Winter’s photo from the day he met her”,

 

“When are you going to tell him about the other baby?”, Sooyoung ask in a very low voice

 

“I am planning to do that during the company’s anniversary. You know how traumatic that event to him but I want to turn that awful memory into a unforgettable memory”,

 

Sooyoung agrees with her plan. She is also aware of the rumors about Taeyeon at the company which she really think is unfair and uncalled for. They don’t know anything about how Taeyeon met Tiffany. “It’s about time them know the truth that will shut them up. Taeyeon needs to clear his name and you are the only one who can do that”,

 

After they left, Taeyeon is still watching her daughter. He can’t take his eyes off of her. It was like he is in love again. Tiffany joined them on the couch and put his head on Taeyeon’s shoulder. “She’s very beautiful”,

 

“Why didn’t you tell me that she’s coming home today? I should have bought her some toys at the at mall”,

 

“Because I wanted to surprise you. I know how much you’ve been missing her. The doctors said that we can take her home already but she can’t really play that hard. We need to help her to slowly adjust to her life outside the hospital. It will be hard for her because this is a very different environment to her”,

 

“I can do that. You see both of us have limited movements”, Taeyeon jokes. He can’t wait to have a full recovery so that he can bring her to many places and buy toys that she wants. “Best day ever”,

 

Taeyeon was about to carry her but Tiffany stops him. “Nah-uh. You’re still not allowed to carry heavy things, including this cute baby. Come one, it’s getting late. Please check all the door and window before going upstairs”, she instructed him before carrying the sleeping girl on the couch.

 

Because she kept it a surprise for Taeyeon, she haven’t arrange Winter’s room. So, for the time being their daughter will sleep with them until her room is done. Tiffany put her at the center of their bed and let her hug her favorite toy.

 

“Thank you”, he hug her from behind while she is preparing to take a quick shower before going to be.

 

“You’re welcome. Now that she’s here, you can’t play all day. It’s your task to look after her while I’m at work. How are you feeling, love?”,

 

They are looking at Winter while Taeyeon is back hugging his girlfriend. Both of them can’t stop smiling. “Aside from the pain from my broken ribs, I am okay. Perfectly fine. I am actually really happy. Happier than ever now that my two girls are here with me now. I love you so much”,

 

“I love you too so much”, she turn around and kiss him slowly on the lips. “We can’t go further because you still can’t perform”, she winks before entering the bathroom leaving Taeyeon baffled with what she just said.

 

When he realize what she means by that he follows her inside the room and took off all her clothes. “That is so mean!”

 

The next morning, as early as 5:30 am the couple was awoken by some giggling beside them. With eyes still half close none of the couple wanted to sleep some more but then Tiffany felt something poking her on the face. “T-Taeyeon stop!”,

 

And yet again, this time it was Taeyeon. “Stop it. It’s still early, fany-ah!”,

 

When they finally open their eyes, instead of being angry they had a big smile on their faces seeing the culprit. The couple chuckles. “Why are you up this early little girl?”,

 

“I don’t know. Dada wakey wakey! Why do you have boo-boos on your face?”, the little girl softly touch hi face.

 

“Because dada fell when he is running. He landed on his face so, you shouldn’t run anywhere”, Tiffany explain to her because she doesn’t have to know that her dad got into a fight.

 

Winter cuddles to her mommy. “Dada is clumsy, winter not!”, she then laugh at her dad. “Dada clumsy. Dada clumsy!”,

 

She is singing it while teasing his daddy and Tiffany cannot help but to join her daughter, both of them are laughing at Taeyeon who is pouting his lips. “I’m not. Stop it or I will not cook breakfast”,

 

“It’s okay. Mommy cook and dada is clumsy!”, the little girl continue making fun of him

 

“Fany-ah!”,

 

Taeyeon calls out to his girlfriend for help but she is really laughing so hard at him. “Oh God! I think we already found your match, love. She is really good. I-I can’t with her”,

 

“Mommy toys?”,

 

“It’s on the next door, the open room. Be careful, don’t run”, Tiffany didn’t even finish her sentence when the little girl climbed down the bed. “Having a kid at the house spell a big difference. Our house is livelier than ever”, she snuggle to him.

 

“The house is now so alive. I want a big family. 5 kids or so. What do you think, love?”, he suddenly brought that up and Tiffany touch her now growing bump.

 

“Then you need to report at work now if you want us to have many kids. I can’t work that much because it’s not easy to carry our baby”,

 

Taeyeon suddenly push her away and slowly sit up. He is still enjoying his timeout and now that his daughter is home, he wants to spend more time with. “Let’s talk about it some other time. We are not in a hurry, right. Get up now, I will drive you to work”,

 

She sat up and kneel beside him before capturing his lips. She can’t explain the sudden urge to kiss him but she just wanna do it. Tiffany kiss him hard and her tongue is trying to open his mouth wide for her to enter. “Hmm”

 

He return the kiss with the same intensity that she is giving him. He open his mouth and her tongue and vice versa. They were both out of breath when they pull away. “What was that? You’re not like this before”,

 

“I don’t know. I suddenly craves for your lips”,

 

“You’re not pregnant, right? Because I believe you are just being right now. I know I have a y body but you need to wait for a few more weeks. When my bones are healed, I will make you scream every night”, he whispers in her ears that send shivers all over her body.

 

At that very moment she wanted to let him know that he is going to be a daddy again but she’s planning to tell him in a way that he will never forget. “I love you but go down and cook breakfast. Winter needs to take some medicine at 6am”,

 

Tiffany went to work at 10am because she can’t leave Winter with Taeyeon who is still injured. But she have an afternoon meeting for the final preparation for the 10th anniversary that she is so hands on. 10 years in the business is not that easy to achieve so she wants it to be very special to everyone.

 

“Kim Taeyeon, I am telling you! Don’t you dare carry her if you want you ribs to heal faster. Buy her first a stroller before you get her everything for her room. And! Ask them to deliver it at home and if it is needed ask someone to help you bring your stuffs at the car”,

 

“Yes, boss Hwang”,

 

She glare at him before smiling at her daughter who is sitting in her carseat. “And you little girl, don’t run. Hold dada’s hand always. Remind dada about your medicines which is in your bag. Be a good girl, okay? Tell dada what you want, I told him to buy you anything. Okay?”,

 

“Okay, boss hwang!”,

 

Taeyeon laugh at the response of his daughter that makes her mom too stunned to speak. She can’t do anything but to give him a deadly glare because she can’t curse or hit him, not in front of their child. “I hate you. Call me if something happens. See you later, baby”,

 

“Hey! Where’s my kiss!”, Taeyeon yell because she is already out of the car.

 

She deliberately did not kiss him to piss him off. Taeyeon hates it whenever she will not give kisses whenever they will be going on different ways. Before Tiffany steps in outside their house, someone stops her and crashes his lips to him. “You! that’s rude! Don’t do that again!”,

 

“Hahaha why are you so cute! You’re crazy, someone might caught us. Go now, don’t let Winter be alone at the car. I’ll see you later. I love you”, Tiffany wipes his lips before going in

 

Taeyeon and Winter excitedly drove away going to the mall. They are planning to stay there the whole day until Tiffany is done with work.

 

The father and daughter duo first stop is to buy Winter a stroller because she can’t walk too far or be very tired. Taeyeon took almost an hour choosing the best stroller. Every little details is important to him. “Dada pick one!”,

 

The clerk chuckles seeing how bored the little girl already but is very behave that she is staying still and not going anywhere. “Sorry,baby. Dada need to be sure that you won’t fall from it. Anyway, I will take this one”,

 

“That’s 750,000won. Do I have pack it or are you going to use it now?”,

 

“Eh? That’s 750,000won? Why so expensive? It’s almost half of my pay check”, Taeyeon scratches his head but nonetheless gives him the credit card that he borrowed from Tiffany. “No need to pack. We’re going to use it now”,

 

“Dada is going to be so broke right now”, he told her daughter before going to the cashier.

 

“Then you work too like boss hwang”,

 

Winter is so clever and Taeyeon is no match to her. He really want to ask the nurses who look after her because of the way she talks. Clever and mature at her age but very polite and behave.

 

Using the stroller is much convenient for the two of them. Winter is pointing at different stores that she wants to go in but her daddy told her later which makes her quiet and Taeyeon saw it. “Baby, we will go back to that toy store later. Dada promise. I need to first buy you some cabinets, blankets, pillows and your new bed”,

“Bed? Winter on own bed?”,

 

“Yes, Winter own bed. Dada and mommy will give Winter her own room”,

 

“With toys? Many toys”,

 

“Many toys. Big toys. Okay? No pouting please”,

 

The little girl is happy knowing that she will have her own room because she’s been at the hospital for a very long time and the only bed that she knew is the small hospital bed that they have for every child and she is sharing the room with 4 other kids who are sick like her.

 

She’s been dreaming of having her own room with toys around her ever since her nurse read them a story book that have a pretty room. And she wished to have it too. As they went in to the furniture store, Winter couldn’t hide her excitement. “Dada, I want pink bed”,

 

Meanwhile, Tiffany just finished her meeting and now sitting inside her office. Her phone keeps on beeping indicating new messages. When she checks on it she is surprise with how many messages it was. “They are really having a shopping spree. I’m so jealous”,

 

It was the notification of every purchase that Taeyeon made using her card. Good thing is that she gave him the card that has no limit seeing the amount that he bought which is not him. “He is so whipped with Winter”,

 

She tries finishing her work fast because she really wants to join them at the mall. Good thing that she has no meeting prior and she can leave the office early.

 

It is already after lunch when Taeyeon finally call her. “Oh, you still remember calling me huh?”

 

“Sorry, love. It’s dada and winter’s time. Anyway, she asked me to call, I think she wants to tell you something. Baby, here talk to mommy”, Taeyeon passed the phone to her.

 

“Mommy, I saw a pink dress but dada don’t want to buy”, the little girl complains to her mom.

 

Winter saw a pink dress that is similar to the one that she saw on the story book. She ask her daddy if he can buy it for her but he said no because her mommy will buy her clothes. “It’s not like I don’t want to”,

 

“Dada is broke already so mommy will buy you that dress, okay? Don’t be sad. Finish your foods then take your medicines”,

 

“Okay. Tell dada to work like boss hwang so that he can buy Winter dress. Bye, mommy!”, the little girl quickly return the phone to her dad.

 

The couple are so amused with her way of speaking. She can really understand some word and she knows how to answer them not in a rude way tho. “She is so cute but sometimes I want to cover ”, Taeyeon complain

 

“Are you sure she is only 3? It looks like she’s older than us”,

 

“I think she’s 50 hiding in a 3 year old body- Hey, slow down! It will be very bad if you choke. Fany-ah, let me call you back. I need to spoon feed this old lady that I am having a date with”,

 

Tiffany chuckles she can already imagine how chaotic the two are. “Pick me up after eating. She will be very sad if we don’t buy her that dress. I’m almost done with work anyway. Love, don’t forget your medicines and Winter too. Enjoy your lunch, love you both”,

 

The father and daughter duo are now on their way to pick up Tiffany from work when a sudden catastrophe occurs on Taeyeon. They are still halfway through the company when Winter said something and he doesn’t know what to do.

 

“Dada I poop”, the little girl said

 

“You have your diaper baby. It’s okay”, he calmly replies while focusing on driving.

 

“Dada need wipe poop, please”,

 

It was that moment that reality hits him hard. The smell of it punched him on the face. He almost gagged with the smell. “Oh my God. It stinks! You alright? Your tummy no boo-boos?”

 

The little girl just shook her head and kept quiet on her car seat and he can tell that she is not yet done with her business. He is thinking to go back home but they are out of the way already. The company is already one block away but he is not yet ready to show them his face. He still have a some faint bruises around his eyes and his cast is still there.

 

“Dada clean please”,

 

“Okay okay. Let me call mommy”, he tried calling Tiffany’s phone but her line is busy. He is parked in front of the building while calling her but he still can’t get through her line. “Aish, who are you talking to for this long”,

 

“Dada!”, the little girl is getting grumpy already and it is also her nap time already that adds up to it. “Dada!!”,

 

Taeyeon is getting agitated and don’t know what to do. He has no choice but to drive around going to the parking lot. He needs to clean his daughter or else she will not stop bugging her. He is not wearing a formal attire that makes him conflicted.

 

He is wearing a khaki shorts and a white polo shirt with his white nike air force. The guard on the parking lot saw him and was surprise to see him again after weeks of being on leave. With a short chitchat, he parked on the parking space that was reserved for Tiffany.

 

Winter is now crying. She is so sleepy too and she is getting irritated with her diaper. “Da-da! I want mommy! Milk! Mommy!”,

 

“Jeez, calm down baby. Hold on, we will go to mommy now. Stop crying baby. Dada will give you your milk at my office”,

 

He is wearing a cap that is totally covering his face and he is also walking with his head low while Winter’s stroller’s cover is down to keep her not to be seen by the other employees. Upon arriving on the floor of their office, Taeyeon were stopped by the security who didn’t recognize him and he is looking so suspicious.

 

“Excuse me. Can I have your ID please? You can’t enter this floor without an ID”, he said.

 

Taeyeon is forced to take his cap off and the security and those looking at them are taken aback. “I’m sorry chief but I don’t have my company id with me. I just need to use the toilet. It will not take that long”,

 

“Oh, sorry Mr.President. We didn’t recognize you. It’s okay, sir. You may proceed”, the security said and he is trying to peek inside the stroller but Taeyeon is quick to cover his daughter. “Nice to see you again, sir”

 

He just vowed to the security before wearing his cap again and walk to his office while pushing his daughter’s stroller. As they are going to the office, Taeyeon can hear them talking about him again which really makes him uncomfortable.

 

“Dada sad?”, Winter ask

 

But Taeyeon just smile at her and continue pushing her going to his office. His secretary and YoonA saw him and was surprise to see him at the office. “Taengo, what are you doing here? Who is that baby?”,

 

“Sorry Yoong but I really need to use the toilet for a while”, he said while covering his daughter from them. “Is Ms.Hwang inside her office?”,

 

“She’s inside”,

 

He vowed to them again before entering his office. When inside he can hear Tiffany talking to someone on the phone. They enter her office from his and Tiffany quickly hang up upon seeing them. What she notice is the gloomy face of Taeyeon.

 

“Hey, what are you doing here? You should just waited at the lobby. Hi, baby”,

 

“Winter poop and I need to clean her up. Will you please make her milk?”, he said while getting her out of stroller.

 

She then hold his arm. “What’s up with that long face?”

 

“Dada sad. People bad”, the little girl told her mommy. She can also hear some of what they are talking about and she knows that it was for her dad because some mentioned his name.

 

Tiffany wants to confront and yell to all the people outside her office. She warns them already but it seems like they won’t really stop. “Let me clean her up. You go make her milk and rest up for a while”,

 

At the bathroom of her office, Tiffany clean her daughter first before asking her of what happens. Winter is very smart and she is afraid that it will also affect her of whatever she heard outside.

 

“Stay still, baby. You don’t want to fall from there”, she tells her while getting her a new diaper. “Baby, you said dada is sad and people are bad. What do you mean that?”,

 

“I don’t know. Nurse Choi said it is bad to talk behind other. People outside are bad because them are saying something to dad. I don’t like them, mommy!”, the little girl said

 

Tiffany is running out of patience to her employees. She really wants to fire them all but that will be very unethical and against the labor code. “Yes, baby that is bad. They should be like you because you are a good girl. Let’s go, dada is making your milk”,

 

“Sleepy mommy”,

 

She carry her out of the bathroom and found Taeyeon looking down while sitting on the couch. He only look up when Tiffany and Winter comes back. “Let’s go. I don’t want to stay here longer. Winter wants to buy some stuffed toys too. Come on, let’s have dinner outside too. I don’t feel like cooking tonight”,

 

They put Winter back to her stroller with her milk. Tiffany then crashes her lips to Taeyeon. She hold him on the nape to push him down for a deep kiss. That kiss last longer than their usual because Taeyeon is so stressed out. “You okay now?”,

 

“I am. Thank you”,

 

“Okay. Let’s get out of here”,

 

Tiffany grab her bag and fix her table before joining her family. She notice how Taeyeon is hiding their daughter’s face that he even her scarf on top of the stroller. “I don’t want them to see her face. We’ll go out first, just follow after a few minutes”

 

“Why? Let’s all go out together. I don’t care about them anymore”,

 

Going out of the office together makes a loud frenzy. Some are smiling but many have violent reaction. Some are saying that Taeyeon seduced her so that he will have someone to take care of his child and it makes Taeyeon really uncomfortable and mad.

 

“Hey, love! Wait for me”, she calls him with a very loud voice that she hopes everyone will hear. “Why are you walking so fast?”,

 

“Stop. They will know about us”, he whispers to her and tries to get away from there as far as he can but Tiffany stops her.

 

She took his left hand and intertwine their fingers. They can hear gasping everywhere. And then they stop. “What’s with the reaction? Is this your first time seeing a couple with their child holding hands? Come on, like you don’t do that too. Stop sticking your noses on our business and do your job!
