16 hour time difference is finally over as Tiffany finally step foot in South Korea. They are now both breathing the same air with Taeeyeon.

 

 

“Girls, there is a car waiting for you two outside. He is Jung Min’s personal driver before and caretaker of the house. Don’t worry about the house, it is well maintained and very clean. And, Tiffany dear don’t forget about the document. Alright, I will see you both tomorrow morning. Rest well tonight”, Mr.Choi says before saying goodbye to them because he is meeting Mr.Park regarding the company.

 

 

Tiffany and Sooyoung were picked up by Mr.Song. He is very close with the Hwang before especially to Mr.Hwang. “You grew up looking just like your mom, Miyoung-ie. I remember how your dad will always update me about you whenever he is visiting here. He loves you so much just like your mom. It’s still saddened me thinking that he is now flying above us now but I am happy that they are together still”,

 

 

“They are meant for each other, really” Tiffany replies while looking outside the window, staring at the clear blue sky above the while thinking that her parents are watching her.

 

“Your dad and mom speak highly of you. They both love you so much that they secretly built that company for you. You know your dad will always say ‘this is her. This is our Miyoung-ie’, he is like that every time he will visit the company”, Mr.Song continues

 

 

A lone tear escapes from Tiffany’s eyes feeling overwhelmed and she can feel the love that her parents have for her. All that she can wish for at that moment is for them to be there for her. She misses them so much.

 

 

Thinking about them, she didn’t notice that they already stopped in front of a very familiar house. She quickly went out of the car and she is in awe. She cannot believe what she was seeing. “No way! No, they did not!”,

 

 

“What is it?”, Sooyoung held her by the arm as she can see her tearing up while looking at the house

 

 

“T-this- This is the very first house that I designed. D-dad, he asked me w-what is my dream house. Oh God- I didn’t- I cannot believe that they did-“,

 

 

 

Tiffany cries on her best friend’s arm. She started to feel the presence of her parents in there. She can’t think of the right word to describe what she is feeling at that very moment.

 

 

Sooyoung understand how she was feeling so, she helps her walk inside the house and she too can say that this is it. That is the house that Tiffany can finally call her home. From the designs to the interior, everything screams Tiffany’s childhood dream.

 

 

And the fact that her parents made her dreams into reality is really something else. The story behind every corner of that house, all the memories, there is no doubt in mind that Tiffany will never go back to LA anymore.

 

 

“Home. This is home, Sooyoung. I am finally home. This is me living with all of their memories. This me feeling every bits of their love inside this house”, Tiffany says as her eyes continue to roam around the house.

Tiffany instantly fell in love with the house the moment her eyes landed on it. The photos hanging around the walls, she can clearly remember those days that her mom took it for them. Her happiest memories with them are hanging on the wall that will always be a reminder to her.

 

 

The house is not that big like some of the house that they have back in LA. It has 4 bedrooms with each has its own toilet and bathroom. The living room is big enough to put up a home theatre on it and the kitchen is so spacious that she cannot wait to use it.

 

 

She wanted a big backyard that is what she told her dad before because she wanted a big space outside where she can enjoy a peaceful and quiet days with her coffee.

 

 

Tiffany went outside to check the backyard and to her surprise it is beyond what she imagines. There is a big swimming pool with a big jacuzzi on the side. A spacious lounge with a small bar and a fire place perfect for a night relaxation. There is nothing more that she can ask for, they gave her everything already without her asking for it.

 

 

“Fany, are you okay? You’ve been- You look like a little lost”, Sooyoung carefully ask her.

“I am lost. I am lost and drowning with the overflowing love that is surrounding me here. I wish I knew this place earlier and maybe I wouldn’t be that weak. If only I knew this sanctuary exist maybe I am able to prevent them from getting everything that mom and dad worked for. I am not going back there, Soo. I want to be where they are and I want to live with their memories which is here”,

 

 

Sooyoung can see the glow and the new hope in Tiffany’s eyes. She’s been waiting for her to have that ever since the accident happened. Tiffany is back. Her best friend is finally back from her slumber.

 

 

“I see. You just found your real home here. I am happy for you and I will support you with whatever decision you will decide for yourself but for now, go find that document then take a rest. Tomorrow is your biggest battle”,

 

 

“I will. Just go ahead, I want to look around the house. Find yourself a room upstairs. Thank you for coming here with me even though you have a very busy schedule”,

 

 

It is almost a day and Taeyeon still can’t reach Tiffany’s phone that makes him so worried. After the phone call before his meeting, she suddenly went off the radar. Even Yuri can’t reach Sooyoung’s phone.

 

He is currently sitting inside his office reading emails from his higher ups demanding him to sign the contract. Others are even threatening him that he will lose all his right on all of their products that he created if he decided not to sign it.

 

 

“What is wrong with you all? I am just a regular programmer. Why are they making it such a big deal if I don’t want to stay here anymore”, he asks himself as he continue opening some other emails.

 

 

Without knocking, Yuri suddenly barges in inside his office. “Taeng, you wouldn’t believe what I heard outside”,

 

 

“What is it this time? You are just making an excuse to go outside just to flirt with YoonA”, Taeyeon teases him

 

 

“We’ll talk about that later but for now, did you know that the company is in big trouble now? This is not because of us hanging by a thread but the real Chairman of this company will be coming here”,

 

 

Taeyeon racks up his memory with regards to the Chairman. “Real Chairman? Isn’t it Mr.Jung is our Chairman and owner of our company?”,

 

 

“Yeah, that’s what we all know but according to some hearsay from the seniors, Mr.Jung is not the real owner of this company and tomorrow the daughter of the real chairman, the heir to this company will finally take over”,

 

 

“Did you know who is she?”,

 

 

“No one knows. It is still a big mystery for all of us. Good thing we’re going to leave this place soon”,

 

 

Yuri went back to his office leaving a very intrigued Taeyeon alone. He is curious with the company’s history and he suddenly became very interested to their new Chairman.

 

 

After work, Taeyeon went straight home to his apartment. It’s getting late already but he still can’t get through Tiffany’s phone. “Where are you, Fany-ah”,

 

He was about to sleep early because he doesn’t have anything else to do because all that he wanted to do is talk to his girlfriend. Then a call comes in, it was Tiffany.

 

 

“Where have you been? I’ve been trying to call you all the since yesterday. Why didn’t you tell me- Oh, wait? That is not your room, isn’t?”,

 

 

“Are you done, love? Can I speak now?”, Tiffany tells him with her half sleepy state. “I have been very busy. Sorry for not telling you. And yes, this is not my room that you know but this is my other room, here in my house- In Korea”,

 

 

“Eh?”

 

 

Tiffany chuckles with how slow he can pick up with what she just tells him. “Your call woke me up, love. Good thing Sooyoung is sleeping on the other room or else you will face her wrath”,

 

 

“Glad she’s not there but seriously, are you really here now? I thought you will be here tomorrow?”,

 

 

“That’s the original plan but something came up. There is something urgent that I need to fix. I’m hungry, love. Can you recommend me a good restaurant or store that is still open at this hour?”,

 

 

Taeyeon looks at the clock and the stores at that time are all close already. “Uhm. Only some convenient stores are open at this time. If you want- No, tell me where you are staying. I will go there and cook you something to eat”,

 

 

“It’s late already, Taeyeon. I think Uncle Song left something at the kitchen. I will just take a look at it. Thanks for the offer anyway. Go sleep now, you still have work tomorrow”, she said

 

 

“But-“, here comes the whining and Tiffany knew what he will tell her next.

 

 

Tiffany cuts him off to stop the whining at that time. “But you want to see me now, but you want to cuddle with me, hug me and kiss me because you miss me so much. I know, love. I know trust me. That is what I also want to do. I promise you, tomorrow you can do all that”,

 

 

“But I want you now- I don’t want to wait for tomorrow. I want it now! As in now!”, Taeyeon raises his voice to her trying to get what he wants.

 

 

“Love~ It’s only a few hours away. Can you not wait?”,

 

 

“What’s the difference between now and tomorrow? Just tell me if you don’t want to meet me anymore! Excuses”,

 

 

She didn’t like the way he talks to her every time he didn’t get what he wants. That kind of attitude is a big no-no for her. “Taeyeon! Don’t talk to me like that. Why is it so hard for you to listen to what I tell you to do? You can’t always have it your way every time you want something. That is not how it is, love”,

 

 

“I’m going to sleep now”,

 

 

“Hey, are you mad at me?”,

 

 

“No. Eat something before going back to sleep”, Taeyeon reminds her and without waiting for her response, he hang up.

 

 

Tiffany was surprise by what he did. It was the first time he did that to her during their argument. She made a mental note to talk to him about his behaviour that he really needs to change. She is getting of dealing with his tantrums.

 

 

But- she loves him that much that she is tolerating him. Just like what she always does after every argument, Tiffany texted him saying good night and I love you but she didn’t receive any reply from her.

 

 

Taeyeon didn’t know he always act like that to Tiffany. He is not known to have a short temper but he does especially with her and he didn’t know why.

 

 

“Ahh! You’re so stupid, Kim Taeyeon! Stupid! You will really lose her sooner or later if you continue to be like that! You have to give your full trust to her to stop this madness!”, he scolded himself.

 

 

He grabs his hair out of frustration and decided to just sleep it off and wait for tomorrow to come to personally apologizes to her. “I’m sorry, love. You didn’t do anything. This is all because of me. Everything is because of me and my issues. I love you, Tiffany. I wish you will never ever get tired of me. I- love you”,

 

 

They both fell asleep with a heavy heart and both having some questions on their own.
