The panorama of a new city, of a new country teased Seulgi's eyes as she looked out of the window while inside the plane.
It also sparked within her a vivid recollection of the reasons why she wanted to go here, of why she even picked up the pencil and started drawing.
It's something Joohyun never knew about her. She knew why Seulgi ventured into science, but she never knew why Seulgi used art as her medium.
It harks back to a young Seulgi, a 13-year-old kid lying down on the floor on her stomach, eyes mesmerized by what she's seeing in this animated film, which captured the modus vivendi of Tokyo - of the images of trains heading to nowhere, the erasure of rigmarole through the celebration of minutiae in detailed , of illustrations that place skyscrapers, decrepit buildings, the sky, into a context of greater meaning.
