Some know, Some don't
Tripped Into LoveMinjoo was dazed, she tripped over her own shoelaces and crashed into a girl, the said girl is also currently on top of her restricting her breathing. Where are her friends and why aren’t they helping her? Her ears were ringing and her back hurt so much, thankfully she didn’t hit her head that hard, or else it would’ve been horrible.
On the flip side, Chaewon was completely and utterly speechless. She almost was almost run over by a truck, then out of nowhere a girl dove and moved her away from the speeding vehicle thus saving her life-- wait, a girl just saved her life… she is in so much trouble.
How could this happen to her? She made sure to always be careful and cautious (completely ignoring the fact that she was using her phone while crossing the street.
You might be wondering why someone saving her life is such a big deal, right? Well…
*Flashback*
“... your great-great grandfather saved your great-great grandmother from a bull that got loose during a rodeo, your great grandfather saved your great grandmother from a would-be , your grandmother saved your grandfather from choking to death, and I saved your mother from a giant tree branch that was about to fall on her.” Chaewon’s father was on another rant about their family history, he always goes on and on about the Kim legacy and traditions, lecturing her and sometimes, her cousins too.
“What’s the point of me knowing this Papa? So everyone on our family tree saved their significant other, what’s the big deal?” The young heiress really didn’t get the point of knowing all these things, especially when she could be doing something much more enjoyable with her time.
She saw her father sigh and shake his head, “The point, my sweet radish fairy, is that it’s a tradition in our family to marry anyone who saves your life. So yes, it is a big deal, a very big deal in fact.”
Her eyes went wide and almost spilled out of her eye sockets, “WHAT?! That’s so dumb Papa! What if I end up hating the person who saves my life? This is absolutely crazy, I am so not doing this, and you can’t force me either!”
“Chaewon, I know it sounds crazy and a little unfair, but sweetie, it’s tradition. You know how much of a big deal tradition is to our family.” Her dad told her with a small smile on his face.
“But what if no one ends up saving my life? I don’t wanna die alone Papa” She couldn’t help but let out a minor protest, with the slightest hopes that her father won’t make her marry anyone she doesn’t approve of.
