Throwback chapter to explain kind of why they need to talk. Also I'm sorr for deactivating I got really sick really badly, I ltierally thought I was going to die so I just kind of deleted everything from my pc and all of my accounts. But now I'm back from the hospital and fine and hopefully i can have some time to write more if i ever manage to get all of my other drafts back.

‘’I’m scared Joohyun,’’ Seulgi whispered looking up at her wife with teary eyes. Joohyun sat down next to her in the uncomfortable plastic chairs in the hospital’s corridor, taking her wife’s hand in hers holding it tightly. She brought it up to , pressing two hard kisses against it.

There weren’t a lot of people around them, an old couple in front of them, a mother and her son on their right, and the rest were passing by nurses and doctors.

‘’It’s going to be okay, we are prepared for it. And I’m here with you. Your sister will come soon, Wendy and Sooyung too.’’ Joohyun said, tucking strands of Seulgi’s hair behind her ear, kissing her on the temple. Seulgi sighed, putting a hand on her belly.

‘’I’m so fat. I can’t wait for them to get out. What’s taking so long?’’ Seulgi whined, her leg nervously tapping against the ground as she rubbed her forehead with her palm.

‘’Hey, it’s going to be alright, the nurses are prepping your room.’’ Joohyun said, putting a hand on Seulgi’s thigh to stop her leg from bouncing. She looked around the room, observing everyone and when she was sure no one was looking their way she kissed her wife on the cheek.

She grabbed her hand again, holding it tightly. She was just as anxious as Seulgi, the birth of triplets scaring her. Seulgi had to go three times through labor and the pain, the intervention being longer. She was scared that anything would happen to her. Of course, the doctors assured her that it they would do the best to deliver the baby safely. But the risk was still there, and it was a fear that paralyzed Joohyun. But she couldn’t voice it out, or it would make her wife stress more.

She could see the sweat forming on Seulgi’s neck, how the woman would nervously bite her lip every now and then, trying to hide it from her. So, Joohyun sat there, holding Seulgi’s hand, not commenting on anything unless Seulgi asked patiently waiting for a nurse to take them to their room.

‘’How you holdin’ up?’’ Sooyoung asked from her seat on the couch inside Seulgi’s room. Joohyun was next to Seulgi’s bed, massaging her feet, while Yeri and Wendy were gone to take some snacks.

‘’I thought it would have been faster.’’ Seulgi pouted, making Joohyun chuckle. Sooyoung flipped a page of her magazine, finally putting it down, looking at Seulgi in her baby pink hospital gown.

‘’You need to wait for like stuff to open, I think. I try not to read about pregnancy, it scares me.’’ She shrugged.

‘’I feel heavy, I feel tired, I want to sleep, but my back hurts and I’m .’’ Seulgi whined, putting her forearm on her forehead trying to calm her breathing down. ‘’I think I have contractions.’’ She grunted and Joohyun immediately got up on her feet. She pressed the button next to Seulgi’s bed to call for a nurse.

‘’How’s it going, are you okay?’’ Yeri asked, after she and Wendy came back inside the room followed by two nurses.

‘’I want this to be over.’’ Seulgi whined again, and Joohyun looked with worry at the nurses who were checking on Seulgi.

‘’Alright, I’m going to need everyone to leave the room. Miss Kang, you are going into labor. Do the contractions hurt?’’ The nurse asked, and the three guests looked at each other.

‘’Good luck Joohyun, my sister can be a pain in the .’’ Yeri joke, patting Joohyun on the shoulder and gave their encouragement to Seulgi.

‘’Miss Bae, are you going in with your wife to the delivery room?’’ The nurse asked and Joohyun nodded her head for a yes.

Inside the delivery room, Joohyun was surprised at how calm her wife had become, following diligently the instruction of the nurses and doctors. She had expected a lot more screaming and pain complaints, but so far her wife was holding up and Joohyun was more than proud.

‘’You’re doing great, honey.’’ Joohyun cooed as she felt Seulgi crushing her palm again with a grunt as she kept on pushing. She grabbed the towel from a nurse and wiped the sweat from Seulgi’s forehead.

Seulgi was now breathing heavily, and Joohyun could see she was in lots of pain, and that she was trying to hide it.

‘’It’s okay, I’m right there.’’ She cooed again, trying to reassure her wife who whimpered at those words, opening her eyes to look into Joohyun’s.

Joohyun saw the pain in her teary eyes, how Seulgi bit her lip, her eyes begging for reassurance from Joohyun’s side, communicating her that it was hard.

‘’Seulgi, I’m going to need one hard push, I can see your daughter’s head.’’ The doctor announced and Seulgi blinked looking at Joohyun. Joohyun caressed her forehead, nodding to Seulgi. Joohyun felt her palm being crushed once again, but it was all worth it when after a few moments of efforts, Seulgi let out a loud exhale, which was followed by the cry of their first triplet.

Joohyun immediately let go of her wife’s hand, whipping her head to look at the nurse who was holding their crying first born.

She felt tears coming to her eyes, wide open, unable to move, froze on the spot blinded by the happiness of seeing her first daughter. The nurse handed Seulgi the baby, who let out a cry of happiness, seeing their daughter.

‘’Joohun,’’ Seulgi whispered, looking at the newborn in her hands. ‘’She looks just like you,’’ she added, trying to calm her emotions.

Joohyun was still frozen, looking the scene unfold in front of her with warmth in her chest that it knocked her air out.

‘’She’s real,’’ Joohyun chocked out, tears falling out of her eyes, caressing the newborn’s hands with her index finger.

‘’Miss Kang, we need to push some more, come on, it’s almost over.’’ The doctor announced, taking both women out of their reverie.

The second delivery went much more quickly and smoothly, but still as breathtaking for both mothers, who couldn’t help but in awe at their second born. Joohyun couldn’t help but cry tears of happiness.

‘’Just one more baby.’’ She said to Seulgi grabbing her hand back, caressing her exhausted wife’s forehead. By now, Seulgi was panting and gulping heavily, exhaustion evident on her face. She was on the verge of passing out, Joohyun knew this, but she needed her wife to hold on just a bit more. She held her hand tighter, whispering into her ear.

‘’Miss Kang, I’m going to need you to push harder please.’’ The doctor announced, and Joohyun saw her wife muster all the energy she had left to do as she was asked.

Joohyun smiled, encouraging her wife. She felt Seulgi’s hold on her hand go lax, and her eyes closing immediately getting alarmed.

‘’Seulgi?!’’ She exclaimed, looking at the nurse. A beep started to resonate in the delivery room, making Joohyun panic, all the blood rushing to her head.

‘’Get the patient ready for a c-section and get an oxygen mask.’’ The doctor calmly announced getting up from his seat. ‘’Someone take Miss Bae outside please.’’

‘’Wh-what is going on? What? Seulgi!’’ Joohyun exclaimed refusing to let go of her wife’s hand. ‘’Seulgi! Seulgi baby I’m here!’’ She exclaimed in her panic, kissing Seulgi repeatedly on her temple.

‘’Miss please, follow me outside.’’ The nurse dragged Joohyun outside. ‘’Please, calm down. Your wife’s body just got too tired. The doctor will perform a c-section and everything will be alright.’’ The nurse calmly explained to a frightened Joohyun once they were outside the delivery room.

‘’So it’s nothing?’’ She asked in a rapid succession of words biting her nails.

‘’The doctors are trying their best to make everything go smoothly.’’ The nurse assured, and left Joohyun, going back inside.

Joohyun had been pacing about five minutes outside of the delivery room, waiting for any kind of news, when another came out of the room looking out of breath. Joohyun looked at him, and by the expression in his eyes, she knew nothing good would happen.

‘’Miss, there’s a complication in the birth of your third daughter. The doctor is asking you who to choose in case the situation is out of control.’’ The doctor calmly explained, but Joohyun felt her head spinning, her heartbeat resonating in her ears. Everything was alright right before she left. Seulgi was in good health.

‘’What do you mean choose?’’ She whimpered.

‘’Wh
