It was a Saturday and was almost midnight. Jisoo is out for a sleepover with an old friend and Lisa is in her own apartment, leaving blackpink’s dorm to it’s rapper and main vocalist.

Since the girls already had dinner at the company, all there’s left to do was to either sleep or not when reaching home. The two members left had opted to do the latter, since they had tea during dinner and drank a few energy drinks on their way home.

The moment they sat on the sofa, Jennie and Rosé has decided to watch series on Netflix. They’ve agreed to binge watch seasons of Gossip Girl as proposed by Jennie, but a few episodes later, the Kiwi’s body betrays her own as she is fast asleep on the Aussie’s lap, leaving Rosé to finish the series by herself.

Rosé figured that she’d just keep watching, since there’s only two episodes left till she moves to season three. She was hooked because it was getting good, and she’s concluded that it’s impossible to sleep at this point, however, the quote from the main character, Blair, really threw her off just now.

“I’m sorry,” Blair says while carefully approaching her troubled friend, “This isn’t something I wanted to be right about.”

Serena keeps mum, her eyes refusing to face the people standing in front of her. After getting no response, Blair spoke again, “Are you okay?” she asked.

This time, Serena answered, now looking at Blair in the eye, “I don’t know,” she sighed, “I don’t know, I keep trying to figure out what was real and what wasn’t.” she then looked down on her lap, shaking her head, “I— It doesn't make sense...”

Blair responded immediately, “Feelings never do. They get you all confused,” she sighed, “Then they drive you around for hours before they drop you right back where you started.” she ends her quote, and Nate couldn’t help but furrow his eyebrows at that.

Serena only sighed dejectedly.

“I need to fix this...”

The Aussie almost couldn’t believe it. Not even twenty minutes past this episode and this is what greets me, Rosé thought while munching on her caramel- flavored popcorn.

Although not for her but for Serena, the quote was way too applicable for her current situation with... well— you know who.

This led the idol to space out while the series plays in the background.

I... haven’t seen Suzy for over two weeks now, Rosé pondered to herself while staring at a distance, her right hand unconsciously brushing through Jennie’s dark colored hair, I wonder if she’s alright...

Truth to be told, she had never planned on avoiding the actress for this long. She wanted at least a day to give herself some time to process things in her mind, but Rosé wanted answers, which is why she had ended up avoiding the actress for longer than usual just to think.

During their time apart, Rosé has done nothing but contemplate. Although it was difficult because she had gotten attached to the actress, the idol has to acknowledge that it led her to a series of realizations.

Well... sort of. They’re not much but a few things were made clear to Rosé.

That this isn’t about the rumor between between them anymore.

That this isn’t about the damn article that started this in the first place.

That this... this whole fiasco... is about how she feels towards the actress.

What sort of feelings, you ask? Rosé herself is unsure of that yet, since that’s what she’s trying to figure out this whole time, but what she does know is...

Rosé almost wanted to bang her head to a nearby table. She doesn’t know what to call it, she doesn’t know what to label whatever she’s feeling, and she’s scared. She knows that it’s no longer a simple admiration, she isn’t dumb, but still…

Rosé only lets out a lengthy exhale, as a thought suddenly enters her mind unprovoked, startling her, and filling her with sadness and yearning.

I miss her, Rosé thought to herself.

The doorbell of their dorm rang, interrupting her own thoughts.

Rosé almost yelped for she was too caught up in it, but nonetheless, she immediately looked down on the sleeping figure on her lap out of panic, afraid that the sound woke the rapper. She lets out a sigh of relief when she finds that Jennie is still sleeping soundly, and looks at the door once again, wondering who could it be at this hour.

Hmm... both Lisa and Jisoo got keys and they know the password... so do our managers...

This time, Rosé couldn’t help but scratch the back of her head.

I didn’t order any food... who could it be?

Looking down once again to the sleeping member on her lap, she carefully lifted Jennie’s head off to not interrupt the rapper’s sleep and slowly stood up, grabbing the remote of their television to lower it’s volume.

Wasting no time, Rosé headed for the door and looked through it’s door hole.

“Chaeyoung-ah... it’s... it’s me,” Suzy knocks on the door.

The actress was surprised on how she acted on impulse, since she’s usually the type to think thoroughly before doing anything. She’s always believed that things are always better when they’re planned.

However, there’s always an exception, like a certain idol, for instance.

Suzy was just about to head home together with her manager after a ten hour shoot for her upcoming movie when their car halted to a stop near a music store.

“Huh.. Streets are packed today,” her manager, Hyesun, comments as the traffic light turned red, raising the car handbreak. “It’s my grandmother’s birthday and my husband will be upset if we don’t make it in grandma’s house on time. I’m thinking we should take the subway to get there faster, what do you think?” she asked the actress, who’s attention is barely on her.

“Hmm...” Suzy hums, eyeing the displayed instruments in front of the establishment through the car window. Unsurprisingly, her dark orbs couldn’t help but linger more at the guitar in the corner, which certainly reminded her of someone.

“Chaeyoung-ah...” Suzy unknowingly murmured out loud, in which surprised her manager.

“What? Did you say something?” Hyesun said, glancing to the artist sitting in the back of the car through the rearview mirror, her eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

Suzy snapped awake at this. Her thoughts which were only meant to be heard by herself, turned out to be the total opposite.

“Umm... n-no,” Suzy eyed her manager nervously, “It was nothing.”

Her manager only went silent and looked at her for a whole minute through the mirror, as if she’s trying to read the actress. Only when the traffic light turned green, she shifted her attention from Suzy and sped away.

“You keep saying that, but I know that’s not true.” Hyesun bluntly said, her eyes focused on the road.

This time, Suzy straightened herself in her seat, a bit taken aback by her manager’s comment, “Umm...”

“Suzy, we’ve talked about this haven’t we?” Hyesun said.

“What do you—“

“Is this still about her?” her manager inquired.

The actress then heaved out a heavy sigh while leaning her head on the car window, now facing the night sky. She couldn’t help but catch a glimpse of a small star while doing so. It was tiny yet it stood out, flashing there alone in the clouds so gorgeously and amicably, and again, it reminded her of the singer.

Rosé was always shining, and she always looked beautiful wherever she goes, or whatever she does.

But most importantly, she never fails to make Suzy feel at peace.

Suzy closed her eyes shut rather forcibly, impelling herself to abandon whatever tension and feeling there is at the moment. She couldn’t really focus on what her manager is saying to her right now, because all she could think about is—

“Rosé?” her manager added, seeing that Suzy hasn’t responded to her yet.

The mention of the singer’s name must have been the last straw, because the actress opened her eyes and answered somewhat harshly.

“Yes.” she hissed. She didn’t mean to come off that way, but she was tired from shooting so she just wanted to go home and rest. At this point, her irritation for her manager by opening up this topic and her frustration to Rosé for avoiding her is taking its toll on the actress herself, all of it was too much to handle.

Nevertheless, Hyesun pressed on, ignoring the way the actress had replied to her. She knew what she was doing, and she wanted Suzy to do something about it for a long time now.

“Well? Do you want to go and see your friend?” her manager proposed, and Suzy’s ears couldn’t help but perk up at the tempting offer.

Of course she wanted to see Rosé! That’s what she’s been trying to do this whole time. She didn't even care if they had a made-up article together, or if that's what made things awkward, that's the least of her worries... and sure, it caught her off guard but now, She just wanted to see the girl again.

She tried to answer calmly, “Yes,” she said, “Yes I want to see her.”

The next words from her manager were a blur. She had said something about responsibilities, friendships and whatnot speech that Suzy already knew.

Good thing her selective listening was working.
