Two more days of life later, Jongin woke up for the hundredth time in his night grimacing in pain without even moving and made the dreaded decision.

Turning to face the window, he leaned his forehead against the glass, blinking rapidly to hold back the tears that were threatening to flow again and a crash was heard from the small bathroom where Jongin was.

Rushing towards the room, Baekhyun slowly opened the door without a lock so as not to bump into Jongin, who he knew was somewhere on the ground and possibly right behind this door.

Stripping off his fur, Baekhyun then straightened up in his human form, leaving his skin on his back.

And the magic was immediate. Jongin let out a soft moan, Baekhyun took a step back, and soon, a magnificent, large black wolf was standing in front of him.

Pulling up his own fur hood on his head, Baekhyun then changed into a wolf in turn and Jongin came to rub his muzzle against his, then his head against his in a tender caress.

Then he lifted his muzzle to look at him and followed the instructions, straightening up and reappearing in human form once the wolf's head was removed from his own.

And there… no more pain.

His pain was gone as if by magic... literally by magic and he couldn't help bursting into violent tears.

Rushing over to him, Baekhyun then hugged him and Jongin clung to him, continuing to let his relief leak out of him against his shoulder.

"-I love you. He moaned with all his heart.

His fingers buried without his hair in the back of his head, Baekhyun then did the same, crying from this immeasurable happiness that now united them.
