Part-time Devil
Oh Sehun was making his appearance more often at the company, so much that Aera memorized his favorite tea. Jasmine chamomile.
She placed the mug down carefully before excusing herself.
“Thank you, Shin Aera was it?” Sehun mentioned.
Aera does not recall introducing herself to him, but nonetheless felt honor that he knew who she was. Before she left, she caught a glimpse of a rather frail Baekhyun. His complexion was very pale compared to yesterday.
After their meeting had concluded, Aera was called in to the office. Baekhyun seemed restless, throwing his neck back against the chair.
With his eyes shut tightly, he slid his car keys across his desk towards her. Aera stood still, unsure of what he wanted her to do.
“Take me home,” he ordered.
“What?”
“I’m tired, take me home,” he said softly.
Seeing him soft spoken and weak like this was not common. She knew he wasn’t feeling well since this morning. Just this one time, she decided to obey his order for once. Aera reluctantly took the keys and followed behind her boss. She noticed him holding on to the elevator rail for support. Feeling somewhat bad, she scooted closer to him to offer her support. As carefully as she could, she put one of his arms over her shoulder then proceeded to lift his posture up using her body for support.
The pair made it to the company garage where his car was parked. She helped him into the passenger seat before running over to the driver’s seat herself.
“Pretty sure you have enough money to hire a driver,” she muttered under her breath.
“I enjoy torturing you,” he mocked weakly.
In all honestly, he wanted her there over anybody else, just in case if the devil wakes. Aera pulled up to his driveway, expecting a group of people to gather around and aid their employer. To her surprise, the house was completely empty.
