Part-time Devil
"Who are you?"
“It’s not everyday that see your boss transforming right before your eyes…but no. You don’t scare me.”
“That was a greeting…from the Netherworld.”
Once again, bits of dialogue and vague flashbacks appeared throughout the day. This strange phenomenon started not too long ago, plaguing the CEO with more unanswered questions than ever. Baekhyun took a few days off after the whole ordeal at the resort to avoid damaging his image even further. More than anything, he wanted to figure out his current state. He tried everything from online searches to books with little to no help. Unfortunately, this wasn’t a sort of health problem to seek a professional expert. Needless to say, his condition was getting worse day by day.
On this certain day, his work phone was blowing up a bit more than usual. He tried his best to avoid the calls, which eventually led him to completely shut down his phone. Whatever it was, he had no motivation to even hear about it. Holding on to his bottle of pure liquor, Baekhyun crashed on his couch with his eyes closed. After taking another gulp of the nearly finished bottle of alcohol, his stomach started to churn from the excessive content. Baekhyun couldn’t help but laugh uncontrollably at this familiar scene. Just last year, he was in this same position after his company’s stock crashed.
“It was too good to be true,” he muttered it to himself, referring to his deal with the devil.
Before he could take another sip of his bottle, someone had decided to abuse his doorbell. The nonstop ringing continued, forcing the CEO to finally get up from his position. He groaned, checking the security footage to see who it was.
“What the hell is she doing here,” he whispered as he spotted his assistant outside.
He reluctantly let her in, simply curious about the phone calls from earlier himself. Aera darted into her boss’s house without a single greeting. She took a deep breath, calming herself down first before exploding.
“Why aren’t you answering your phone!”
