'Yah... Wendy ah!' Joy exclaimed.

Wendy, almost hurriedly, jogged over gave Joy a light cheerful hug.

Seulgi watched from behind Joy, bewildered at what was happening.

'I was wondering if you were going to be here today.' Joy said, still smiling.

'And I see you're sneaking away from work again...' Wendy said with a sigh.

'Actually, i'm not this time!' Joy exclaimed proudly.

'Spare me the rubbish.' Wendy said dismissively.

'This...' Joy started, ushering Seulgi forwards. 'Is Kang Seulgi.'

Seulgi gave a shy nod, then a cute wave.

'...'

'...'

'Wow she's pretty.' Wendy stated bluntly. 

'I know right!' Joy replied. 'She can do aeygo too!'

'Really!!?'

'N-not really...' Seulgi whimpered. 

'Please? I want to see!' Wendy said.

'N-now...?'

'Why not!'

'...'

'...'

The girl put on a pout.

'Do-on't urge me....'

'AHhhhhh gwiyeo!!!!!!'  The two girls squealed.

Seulgi felt her cheeks redden.

Wendy stuck out her hand. 

'I'm Wendy. An old friend of Joy's.'

Seulgi accepted graciously.

'So.. you new to Esquire?'

Seulgi nodded.

'Well, depending on your shoot we ca-'

'Actually...'Joy interjected. 'She's Joohyun's new bodyguard.'

'Wai-.. WHAT?'

'Today's my first day.' Seulgi said. 

I'm going to have to get used to people mistaking me for a model...

Not that I dislike it though

'But WHY would Irene...' Wendy pondered.

'I hired her.' Joy said.

'...'

'...'

'I don't even want to know...' Wendy muttered.

'Can you get her a suit?'

'The usual?' 

'Yea...'

'Alrighty then...' Wendy said, walking away, and grabbing a few items from the racks. 

'Seulgi ah.'

'Yes?'

'Could you try these on for me?'

Seulgi accepted the items, and made her way towards the changing room.

She managed to five steps in the direction, when she turned back, with a severly worried look painted across her face.

'Miss Park I can't-'

'I'll pay for it.' Joy said without even looking, shooing her away. 

Seulgi gave a childish smile, scampering lightly away.

With Seulgi in the changing room, the two close friends quickly struck up a chatter. Joy quickly filled in Wendy how Seulgi had come to Esquire. First how Irene needed a permanent bodyguard, to how she had accidentally rejected all the model applicants, to how she knew Seulgi was the right person for the job the moment she had stepped into the room. And, obviously, she added a few bits here and there to make her seem a bit less responsible for Irene not having a bodyguard.

'Yah... I can't believe you still have a job.' Wendy breathed, after finally listening to the whole story.

'Why?'

'If I was Irene I would've fired you over the phonecall.'

'Nah... she wouldn't be willing to fire me.'

'You think so highly of yourself eh.'

'Of course! I'm her only friend!'

Wendy gave a laugh.

'Yah! I'm her friend too!'

'You're not always at Esquire though...'

'Speaking of friends..' Wendy said, pondering. 'What does your boss think of this so called bodyguard you hired?'

Joy's eyes suddenly bulged out and she suddenly seemed to light up like a bulb. 

'I'm telling you.' She said seriously. 'Seulgi is the chosen one.'

'...'

'...'

'What on earth...'

'She's the one that will date Bae Joohyun.'

Wendy rolled her eyes at her friend's antics.

'Oh come on... you say that about everyone that appears and is slightly attractive...'

'Hear me ou-'

'How many times has it been...'

'Listen here Seungwan ah' Joy hissed.

'Fine~...'

'Irene took her out to dinner. The first day they met.'

'SHHHhhh!' Joy quickly hushed, clamping her hand over the shorter girl's mouth.

'Jinja?' Wendy asked, bewildered.

Joy nodded.

'This currently is Esquire's most closely guarded secret.'

Wendy gave an exaggerated nod, mockingly serious.

'Don't tell anyone.'

'Ah... I wonder when she'll take me out to dinner...' Wendy sighed.
