Yifan and Junmyeon had been one close friends since they're kids. Even though there's one year different between their age, the both of them were so close, too close that people sometimes mistook them as a couple. Some people even asked them politely whether they're a couple or not, and everytime Junmyeon will tell them nicely that they're not, but never once was he mad about it. 

But little did he know, everytime he denied it, Yifan's heart feel crush to the point it's hard for him to breath. Yifan had realized that he harbor a feeling that he shouldn't feels in the first place towards his friend since they went to high school. He did tried to deny those feelings, but the more he spend his time with Junmyeon, the more he's sure of it. 

Compared to him, Junmyeon is so carefree and befriending everyone in the school. Well who wouldn't when he's a not only good-looking but the smartest student in the school too. Everyone wants to be his friends. But aside from Yifan, Junmyeon only have two more close friends that he can trust. 

Everything was the same everyday, they went to school, studying, having some breaks then went home. It was until one day when Yifan went home, and he was surprised to see his mother sitting comfortably in their living room. His eyebrows were raised as he closing the distance between the both of them. "That was really a surprised mom. Usually you'd coming home late." He sat down beside her as he squint his eyes curiously.

"Mmnn, so how's school?" 

"Well yeah, boring as usual but still okay." 

Mrs.Wu took a deep breath as she placed her palm on top of Yifan's hand. 

"There's something that I need to tell you." 

Yifan nodded his head, signaling for her to continue. 

"We need to move to Canada next week."

Yifan frowned. 

"What? I don't want to." 'I don't want to leave Junmyeon, I'm not ready to left him.', he thought. 

Mrs.Wu sighed. She tightened her grip on Yifan's hand. "But I don't want to left you alone at here. There's no one to take care of you. Come along with me, alright Yifan." 

Yifan shakes his head. Tears threatened to escape from his eyes. "But I want to stay here. I have to." 

Mrs.Wu smiles sadly. She knows what's going on in his boy heart. "You don't want to leave Junmyeon aren't you?" 

Yifan snapped his head, staring unbelievably at his mother. Shocked was written all over his face. Mrs.Wu chuckles. "Did you tell him about your feeling hmm?" Yifan sighed lowly. He shakes his head. "I don't think I'm ready to tell him. But mom, why aren't you surprised or angry about it?" 

"No one is ready, but time wouldn't wait for you. And why should I feel all of those things hmm? It's about your heart. If your heart decide it'd be like this then so be it. You're still my son no matter what." 

Yifan smiles as he placed his head on his mother's shoulder. "So, can I stay here mom?" 

"I'll give you three days to think about it. You should know that I'll be so worried if I left you alone here." 

Yifan smiles, "Alright mother..."

Yifan's POV

My mother's words kept on playing inside my mind. But she's right. Time wouldn't wait for me. What if one day he falls for someone? What if he actually likes me but was too shy to say so?

"Is there something wrong Yifan?" I sighed and shakes my head. "Nothing.. I'm just tired." I turned my head, facing Junmyeon. Little pout was hanging on his lips. I smile. 

"I'm fine, really." 

Junmyeon nodded. "Well, if there's something bothering you, you know you can tell me. I'm all ears. I'm your best buddy remember." 

There it is again. A buddy, a friend, you're only a friend for him, Yifan. Mother was right. Time wouldn't wait for me, if I didn't tell him now then it'd be my lose. But if he reject me, then it's a good-bye I guess.
