Taehee follows Jongin while holding onto her remaining cotton candy as they finally took a seat far away from the crowds and definitely a better view of the fireworks. Taehee continues eating the cotton candy while Jongin clears his throat,

"Eun Taehee, I have something to say to you."

Jongin said as he looks at the girl beside her who's munching on her cotton candy. Taehee nods, signalling Jongin to continue talking as she pinches her cotton candy,

"I uhm- I actually like you."

Taehee stops munching as she puts her cotton candy down and turns to look at the guy beside her,

"I like you ever since we're in high school."

Taehee bites her lower lips as she looks down,

"Jongin... I like you too. Really, you're a really great friend. But if your 'like' means something more than just friends, I'm afraid I can't accept it."

Taehee sighs,

"You know, people around me been asking me why do I like Sehun, the one who's cold, the one who only cares about himself, the one who always makes me cry. I don't have the answer for that. I don't know why, but I just really can't answer that question. No matter how bad he treats me, I can't erase him, he's like glued in my heart. Seriously Jongin, I wanted to try, try to like somebody else but I don't want to ended up hurting that person because I can't give my heart and dedication fully. I can't date people when I have other guy in my mind. I can't do that, especially to someone I treasure like you. I appreciate your feeling, but Jongin, I don't want to put you in my shoes. I don't want you to be like me, constantly loving someone who can't love me back. You're a great great person, Kim Jongin. You deserves so much better than someone like me."

Taehee slips her hand in Jongin's,

"You have a special place in my heart, Jongin."

Taehee said as she smiles. Jongin looks up at her, his eyes teary as he purses his lips,

"Can I hug you, Taehee?"

Taehee chuckles as she nods. Jongin embraces her while Taehee pats his back,

"Sehun likes you."

Jongin mutters, 

"He said he likes you so I avoided you."

Taehee lets go of their hug as she looks at Jongin with a frown,

"Remember that time when I went to Sehun's house and you're there? I asked him whether he likes you or not because I wanted to court you. But he said he likes you, so I avoided you the following days at school."

Taehee sighs,

"So that's the reason why you've been treating me like I have a chicken pox?"

Jongin chuckles and nods, 

"It's the past Jongin. He has your cousin now."

Taehee looks down at the cotton candy Sehun gets her when she feels Jongin's hand softly patting her head and that's when the fireworks start and they both look up the sky, with both of their hearts aching.

Jongin drops Taehee's off at her father's restaurant as her father called saying something's urgent comes up so she needs to be there at the restaurant. Taehee waves Jongin goodbye as she sends the guy off and walks inside the restaurant. She bumped into her Kiyoung oppa who's about to go home,

"My baby Taehee, you're here when it's almost midnight already? You're really growing up now aren't you?"

Taehee scoffs as she rolls her eyes toward the older guy,

"Yes, I'm growing up so don't 'baby' me."

Kiyoung ignores her as he sticks out his tounge and walks out of the restaurant. Taehee went inside while calling for her father but she stops in her track when she saw Sehun turning around, looking at her and her father's sitting in front of him. She clears as she walks towards the two human that's staring at her,

"What time is it now, Princess? I know it's weekend but it's not good for a girl to be out late."

Taehee pouts as she sighs,

"Sorry, dad."
