Junhui was triumphant. Minghao was exhausted. They opened the door to the little apartment they called home and when Soonyoung saw them he jumped up from the couch.

“Are you really here?” he asked with a mixture of joy and confusion and Minghao just nodded. “Jun-gē convinced my parents to let me stay.” Soonyoung charged towards them like a ball of energy and they both squealed as he squeezed them tight into a group hug. “Does Seungcheol know?” he asked and they shook their heads. “I’ll tell him!” he said as he ran back to the couch and searched frantically for the phone dropped in his excitement.

Three days later four excited boys sat around a big table in the company meeting room. Minghao was clutching a big yellow envelope that had been couriered to their apartment. It contained his passport, all his ID and documents, and to his surprise a cheque. He excitedly handed the whole lot over to Seungcheol when he entered and he took it to make copies for the company records. “I’ll take you to open a bank account later,” he said to Minghao who sighed with relief. He had been keeping his cash in the bottom drawer of his bedside cupboard and when he added the cheque he would finally feel like his head was above water. He sent a quick text to his Dad thanking him for the money before putting the phone back in his pocket.

Kim Mingyu walked in with the CEO and some other department heads. Minghao tried to sit up straight and pay attention but his eyes kept wandering to the boy by his side. He listened absentmindedly as they talked about image and concept, dates and timelines, and Minghao wasn’t even able to focus. He didn’t care. As long as he was by Junhui’s side he didn’t care what they were doing.

Finally the CEO stood and everyone else quickly stood and bowed as he walked out. The other departmental heads left too leaving Seuncheol and Mingyu behind with the four boys. “Isn’t this exciting!” Junhui said as he turned to Minghao. “What? Sorry I was having trouble concentrating.” He smiled and Junhui smiled back at the boy’s distraction. “We’re recording in two weeks and filming out debut music video!” Minghao looked at the five faces staring at him and broke into a grin. “Really?” the room exploded into laughter at his surprise. “What were

Chapter 35: Hello it’s me again. HAHAHAHA

I honestly didn’t expect minghao side to take that turn, but I love how it all turned out for the two. A beautiful book 2 indeed. 💕.

Hopefully a book 3? No pressure tho! I just enjoy what you’ve enjoyed writing ☺️

Chapter 35: Wow, this story is so amazing! I honestly don't understand why it hasn't gotten more attention and popularity!

I really like how you take us on this journey with Minghao. That not everything works out, that he does have huge problems to face, that things go really down the gutter before he manages to pick it all up, thank sto a certain ex-violet haired boy. It's so wonderful to see them grow with time and how Soonyoung also accepts Minghao rather quickly despite being reasonably worried at first. Seungcheol also accepting Minghao quickly and seeing within days/weeks that this was one of the best decisions he's ever made is also really sweet.

I'm glad that Yanan and his group did not go after Minghao any further even though he technically owes them money. And seeing him get back to his vibrant self was so beautiful!

I'm in love with basically every Minghao-Junhui scene because they're all so wonderful and it's so realistic that both of them worry so much and can't see the seemingly most obvious things because they're still looking at it from a subjective angle, assuming that what they do see is only tinted because of their own feelings and that mutuality can't really happen. And then when they get together and things just become even more beautiful... and all the things Junhui does for Minghao and how Minghao immediately begins to pay him back with his first paycheck...

The scene with Minghao's parents was also really great and I'm so glad that Junhui managed to convince them! It's also nice to see that Minghao's father is the more emotional one.

I think I noticed two minor inconsistencies, though. One is timewise that it all starts when Minghao is not even 16 but then once he's accepted to Seungcheol's band, time seems to go a bit funky... Also, if I didn't mis-read it, it is mentioned towards the end that he left China when he was 17... Also, in the first chapter, his stuffed animal is a cat and not a panda...

All in all, I really loved reading this story. Thank you so much for sharing it with us! You have a nice writing style that always kept me on board and the flow of events was nice. If I find more JunHao/JiHan, I'll certainly check out more of your stories!
