Junhui had understood everything that was said. It was all so overwhelming, Minghao was going to be leaving and Junhui would have to explain to Seungcheol and Soonyoung that he was too, but most of all the bombshell that had been so casually dropped into the middle of the conversation.

“You have a fiancée?” Junhui hissed in Korean as they walked along the street. Minghao’s parents were behind them and showed no signs of letting their son out of their sight. “.” Tears filled Minghao’s eyes. Junhui was hurt and he knew it. “I’ve met her once Jun-gē. I can’t even remember her name. So no. I don’t have a ing fiancée.” He looked so absolutely defeated that Junhui regretted his selfish and self centred actions immediately. “I’m sorry Hao,” he whispered as they walked quickly back to the apartment still speaking to each other in secret.

Junhui could feel Minghao’s pain and he wanted nothing more than to let their fingers tangle together. He wanted Minghao to know he wasn’t alone. But the eyes of Minghao’s parents bore into him like fire as they walked and whispered in a language they knew would give them some semblance of privacy.

Minghao’s parents followed them into the building and up into the tiny apartment. Soonyoung was waiting on the couch and when he saw the two unfamiliar adults he knew it wasn’t good. “I’m sorry Soonyoung.” He fell onto his knees in front of the older boy. The boy he respected and looked up to so much as a leader and a big brother. The boy he never wanted to disappoint. “It’s not your fault Minghao,” Soonyoung whispered as he his hair softly. But he couldn’t stop the tears of disappointment that stung his eyes and Soonyoung rushed off to his bedroom and slammed the door shut as Minghao lay on the floor in tears.

Junhui stared in horror as Minghao fell apart in front of him. All his strength that he had gained, his willpower and his confidence, it all came undone as he curled up on the carpet. Hurting Soonyoung had been the last straw. He looked over at Minghao’s parents, seemingly unwavering, and rushed to Minghao’s side. “Hao. Get up. Don’t let them see you like this,” he whispered as he scooped him up into his arms. His face was red and his cheeks were streaked with tears and despite all of this all Junhui could think of was how beautiful he was. “Come on,” he said as he dragged Minghao towards the bedroom. “I’ll help you with your stuff.”

When the bedroom door closed behind them they just he

Chapter 35: Hello it’s me again. HAHAHAHA

I honestly didn’t expect minghao side to take that turn, but I love how it all turned out for the two. A beautiful book 2 indeed. 💕.

Hopefully a book 3? No pressure tho! I just enjoy what you’ve enjoyed writing ☺️

Chapter 35: Wow, this story is so amazing! I honestly don't understand why it hasn't gotten more attention and popularity!

I really like how you take us on this journey with Minghao. That not everything works out, that he does have huge problems to face, that things go really down the gutter before he manages to pick it all up, thank sto a certain ex-violet haired boy. It's so wonderful to see them grow with time and how Soonyoung also accepts Minghao rather quickly despite being reasonably worried at first. Seungcheol also accepting Minghao quickly and seeing within days/weeks that this was one of the best decisions he's ever made is also really sweet.

I'm glad that Yanan and his group did not go after Minghao any further even though he technically owes them money. And seeing him get back to his vibrant self was so beautiful!

I'm in love with basically every Minghao-Junhui scene because they're all so wonderful and it's so realistic that both of them worry so much and can't see the seemingly most obvious things because they're still looking at it from a subjective angle, assuming that what they do see is only tinted because of their own feelings and that mutuality can't really happen. And then when they get together and things just become even more beautiful... and all the things Junhui does for Minghao and how Minghao immediately begins to pay him back with his first paycheck...

The scene with Minghao's parents was also really great and I'm so glad that Junhui managed to convince them! It's also nice to see that Minghao's father is the more emotional one.

I think I noticed two minor inconsistencies, though. One is timewise that it all starts when Minghao is not even 16 but then once he's accepted to Seungcheol's band, time seems to go a bit funky... Also, if I didn't mis-read it, it is mentioned towards the end that he left China when he was 17... Also, in the first chapter, his stuffed animal is a cat and not a panda...

All in all, I really loved reading this story. Thank you so much for sharing it with us! You have a nice writing style that always kept me on board and the flow of events was nice. If I find more JunHao/JiHan, I'll certainly check out more of your stories!
