Keeping it a Secret

Love Over Blood

As far as he knew vampires didn't exist and they never would. From a young age, the whispers of those of the night often reached his ears. The adults trembling and cautious as they walked beneath the night. Their voices laced with an ever growing fear as they warned their children to be afraid of the blood drinkers with the gleaming red eyes . Yet unlike most, he didn't believe in the vampires in the books nor did he fear them.  For they were nothing but a myth.

A tale and  nothing  more.

The horrors often told were followed by ones filled with passion and romance. The blush on those who sought to find themselves entangled with the dead often drawing a snort from the human who unknowingly had been looked after and cared for by one, while beginning to fall for another that would bring him grief and pain.

Staring down at the humans silently, Jimin for once did not feel the urge to feed. Instead as he watched them move about his  thoughts  strayed to another and in that moment he couldn't help but wonder if Taehyung would be afraid of him.  Remembering the first time he had ever seen the younger the fear that flashed before his eyes, the incident in the alley following soon after. Taehyung's tear, cries and the look of anguish and fear lingered.  The  question  asked  in turn  small, "Would you be afraid of me?"

Without an answer to his question his tense shoulders slumped. His blue eyes dulling and his silver hair disheveled as longing and pain surfaces.  Pushing away from the ledge Jimin begins to make his way home. His heart heavy and mind racing.

It  wasn't  often that a  vampire  would turn a human. It wasn't heard of and those who did never lasted long. Not with how uncontrollable the hunger became and when their sires in the end, didn't care if they lasted or not.

By the time the newly turned vampires would lose control his father would have sent others to end their demise.

Unlike every other day this one was much more different. Just as he had been on his way to school, Yoongi had requested for him to not attend his classes for a while. At first, he felt confused. It wasn't often that Yoongi let him skip his classes, much less asked him for anything. The slight panic in the older's eyes rousing fear deep within him as he slightly asked in to repeat himself. Having agreed without much more pleading, Taehyung found himself calling to work. As he spoke with his boss, the room was filled with a gruff voice. Yoongi's furrowed brows as he listened to the other apparent about how he felt. Repeating ever word uttered into his ear, the reluctant time off was exactly what was needed.

Yoongi's smile enough for Taehyung to not ask the one word on the tip of his tongue. Watching a his hyung shrugged on a coat, he looked over the grocery list. After making sure that there wasn't anything else that he wanted he handed it over. Following after the other, Taehyung pouted as he peered at Yoongi. At the sigh he finds himself leaning into the other.

Smiling softly at Taehyung, Yoongi flicks the younger's nose. As their gazes meet, he softly begins to speak, "I promise, I'll be back. Did you want me to bring back food?"

Nodding Taehyung, peered at the other silently as he left. 'Why were you so scared hyung? What are you afraid of?'

Making his way back to the couch he's quick to begin on his assigned work. As the minutes tick by a hour soon passes by. While most of the work he managed to get done wasn't hard, his science related work remained untouched. Sighing Taehyung collects his textbooks before closing his laptop. Going to his room, he places everything away before making his way back to the living room. Checking his phone, Taehyung's upset to see the lack of messages from his friends. Throwing his phone on the nearest table he pouts.

His mood souring at the lack of company and plaguing thoughts of the kisses he had shared with Jimin four days ago. While he knew he could send a text to the other, Taehyung wasn't sure about what he should say. Jimin's honest words while flattering also drew from him the question on whether or not their relationship would change at all. Cheeks flushing he let's out a groan, the dreams he had from before seeming to take one an even different turn. While they had clearly let him know about how he felt for the other, the ones now had him feeling baffled yet curious. While he didn't believe in vampires his dreams all had Jimin being one. The scrapping of fangs against his throat one he didn't like nor wanted to think of further. Shaking his head angrily his brows furrow, his cheeks flushing as he whispers angrily, 'they aren't real. Vampires aren't real.'

Before he can let out a whine from his plaguing thoughts the sound of keys jingling has him rushing to stand. Making his way over to the door, he's quick to collect as many grocery bag as he can. Complaining to Yoongi that he had taken too long, Taehyung misses the fond gaze on him and gentle smile. As he moved to put everything away the smell of food has him pausing. Turning around the bag extended to him, has him letting out an excited thank you. Walking to the table Taehyung doesn't think twice before pulling out the containers and beginning to set them at their respective seats. Grabbing the needed utensils along with glasses Taehyung forgets about the questions he had.

Smiling Yoongi quietly asks if a movie night would be possible. At the excited muffled yell and bobbing head he relaxes. 'As long as we can avoid the clans and council we'll be safe.'

Standing beside his father Jimin's gaze was neutral as he took in all their invited guests. Nodding at a few, his smile was a practiced one. The lack of warmth and the lack of interest only clear to those who knew the young vampire. Rocking on the heels of his feet, his thoughts strayed to Taehyung. Lips tugging into a smile the rush of warmth that fills him is unlike any other feeling. Pulling the collar of his suit, he ignores the questioning gaze from Jungkook.

Having asked the younger to stay with him, he wasn't too sure where the rest of his friends were. While he wasn't mad at Namjoon, Jimin didn't exactly feel like seeking out the other. Not when his hyung had helped Jin in forcing him to talk. At the mere thought of Jin, his mood sours. With a shake of his head, he rushes to forget about the other. Right now he didn't have the time to worry about what the other was planning not when every vampire clan was attending this meeting. That would be a for another time.

Glancing at Jungkook he feels his heart ache. Taking in the light brown hair and wide doe eyes his mood turns gloomy. While the other didn't come to him often, he knew his dongsaeng had been having nightmares about the day he died and lived his last day as a human. From what he could remember about Jungkook the other had been optimistic. His eyes filled with life and childish wonder as a human, yet that night. When he found Jungkook choking and gasping on his own blood the fear and resigned acceptance had startled him. It hadn't taken much for him to look into his memories and to see just who had turned the other.

Startled at the pat to his shoulder he follows Jungkooks nods. Smiling to his father, Jimin offers a small smile before once more greeting their guests. Once everyone is accounted for Jimin nods for Jungkook to follow him. Ignoring the questioning look from Namjoon they continue on their way. The further they get away from the dining hall the easier it is for both to relax. Listening carefully Jimin moves to the room at the end of the hall. Eyes scanning the room when he peers in he doesn't take a second longer before walking in. Closing the door softly behind them Jimin makes his way to one of the few available chairs. Once seated he quietly asks Jungkook once he's settled, "Did you get it?"

Nodding Jungkook quietly pulls out a folded piece of paper. Handing it over to his hyung his voice is soft as he whispers, "I hid it along with everything else you asked for."

"No one knows?"

Shaking his head quickly Jungkook steals a glance at the door. Pausing for a moment he wonders for a moment where everything began to change. How his life had quickly changed from normal to supernatural chaos. At the brief memory that surfaces he gasps. Stiffening at the hand holding his own his hearts races, the pain nothing but a memory yet all to real. Clutching onto Jimin he let's the others words ground him. The pain around his neck having him tremble as he claws at the bite marks that are no longer there. Heaving he closes his eyes, the scream in his ears ringing as the pleas he had uttered years ago surface to the forefront of his mind.

Once the ground underneath him is no longer hard wet concrete Jungkook slowly uncurls. Pushing himself to his knees he lets Jimin help him sit up. Smiling at the other, the pain he feels doesn't leave. Yet the concern reassures him that at least one of them cares. Swallowing he takes in a few calming breathes before saying a word,"Just between us. Just like you said."

Sighing in relief Jimin smiles tiredly at Jungkook. Pocketing the paper with the address his voice is filled with relief, "Thank you Kookie. I knew I could trust you."

"You saved me hyung and I promised I'd do anything to help you."

Frowning Jimin can't help but hate how the other feels in debited to him. Pushing himself up just as he goes to scold his closest friend he's cut off, "Jungkook-"

"Jimin-hyung..."

Lips pursed, Jungkook straightens in his seat as he holds the elders gaze. His words firm and honest, "Your my sire, hyung. No matter what people say you protect me and treat me well. Better than what every other turned vampire gets. Your my best friend and you've never made me feel excluded."

Cheeks flushing Jimin looks away. Coughing softly he mutters, "it's the least I could do after, what Jin did. And I... love you-you brat."

Smiling widely Jungkook turns back around to peer out the glassed window. As he focuses on the head of each clan his thoughts stray to what they would be shortly doing underneath everyone's nose. his chapped lips he can only hope they won't get caught. Just before he can think about their plan once more the hand clasping onto his shoulder has him turning to glance at Jimin.

"Everything will be okay Kookie, you let me deal with it when the time comes."

Nodding Jungkook once more turns his focus to the oldest vampire in the room. 'Just a few more days and everyone will know the truth.'

Eyes narrowed Yoongi scoffed as he watched all the vampires throughout the city. Making his way back to his shared apartment, he beings to plan different routes to get out of the city if needed. 'Anything could go wrong in just a matter of seconds.'

Relieved that he had been able to get Taehyung to agree to stay home, Yoongi planned to stay as much with the other as he could. 'The further from the Park's he is, the safe he will remain.'

Seeing Hoseok not too far ahead, Yoongi sighs. It didn't matter how many times he and Hoseok got in a fight the other always kept coming back. Standing before the younger vampire he sneers at the smug grin on his face.

"So you actually listened to me."

Rolling his eyes Yoongi stared silently at the redhead before him. As the grin widen further he felt his irritation grow. Knowing that Taehyung wouldn't be waking up soon, he his heel and began to walk. As Hoseok followed after him, he couldn't help but ask, "Why?"

Brow cocking Hoseok's steps faltered as he thought over what the other asked. Shrugging Hoseok stole silent glances at the older vampire. "Just thought you'd be interested in keeping your little human safe for a while longer."

Nodding reluctantly Yoongi continued to walk until he was as far away from his apartment as he could get. Turning to look at Hoseok he didn't have to say a single word for the other to disappear, the lingering laugh enough for him to keep the other in mind for the rest of the day.

Carefully as he made his way through the window he hesitated. Looking over his shoulder Jimin felt uneasy. The gaze from before gone, yet the knowledge that someone had been following him at the forefront of his mind. Thinking it over for a second he refused to get in contact with Jin, the elder had been keeping far too many secrets as of late. Secrets that in the end, could harm everyone.

Steps silent as he made his way into the bedroom his gaze locked on the sleeping figure. Staring down at the human tangled within baby blue sheets his icy azure eyes dimly glowed as they softened. Relieved  Jimin  couldn't help but smile. 'Your safe.'

Hand reaching out his fingers tangle in dark brown locks. At the soft sigh Jimin remains focused on Taehyung. His blood mate and boyfriend. Heart pounding he glances over his shoulder once more, eyes narrowed he scans the area outside. Turning back around he lets out a sigh of his own.

Quietly  humming  under his breath he doesn't know how much time passes by nor does he want to acknowledge it.  Heart pounding Jimin slowly lowers himself to his knees. Pulling his hand away the urge to pull his blood mate is strong. He wanted to just keep Taehyung with him. Keep him close and safe. Resting his head on the mattress he breathes in deeply, the sweet vanilla scent calming, and the steady heart beat reassuring. Turning his head on the side he tangles his hands into the sheets, lacing their hands together his eyes flutter to a close.

As the minutes tick by he ignores his phone going off. Knowing he'd had to go back soon, Jimin quickly sent a message to Jungkook. Promising the younger vampire that he would be on his way soon, he hopes that the secret between the both of them would remain as it was. Body trembling as he remembers the warning from his grandfather the burning in his veins grows hotter. The fury growing as he clutches a bit more firming onto the hand in his.

'Humans aren't meant for anything else in life but food. Never forget that in the end, we will always be superior.'

Eyes narrowing blue eyes bleed red, pushing himself to his feet Jimin's trembling in anger. The gentle warm hand falling back onto the mattress as he looks over Taehyung.  The threat to his blood mate clear along with the number of vampires seeking to do what his grandfather asked for accounted for. Thoughts turning darker, just as he's about to lose himself the soft whine that reaches his ears has him harshly blinking. As sleepy eyes peer at him, Jimin's pulling his boyfriend into his arms. Tucking his face into the crook of Taehyung's face he ignores the urge to drop kisses.

Body trembling he shakes his head at the whispered question the concern endearing yet a painful remember that he wouldn't be able to run to the younger for a unknown amount of time.  'I can't tell you, I want to, but I can't. If...if they kill you, what will I do?'

Pulling away, his eyes begin to burn. The tears gathering as he gently cradles Taehyung's face in his hand. As concerned words fall onto deaf ears, he's quick to look the younger over. P ressing his lips hastily against Taehyung's, the kiss is desperate as he tightens his hold. 'Just one more. One more so  I   don't  forget.'

As their kiss deepens, the small little moans and pants has him wanting to forget everything and stay. Pulling away, Jimin wishes there was another way. Pressing one last lingering kiss he whispers as he stares into wide does eyes, "I'm going to be gone for a while, Taehyung but I'll be okay."

"Jimin? What-"

"You can't look for me. I don't want you to."

Eyes widening, Taehyung doesn't like the defeated look on his vampire. "Ji-Jimin what's happening? What's wrong? Di-"

Cutting Taehyung off, he carefully brushes away stray locks. His voice pleading as he continues on. The words from the other not helping the ache growing in his chest,  "Your going to go to your classes and live your life the way you always have. For a while you'll forget about me. You won't remember me at all."

Shaking his head Taehyung tries to stop Jimin yet the red eyes that stare into his own silence him. With ever word uttered memories slowly begin to be fade, one by one. Locked at the back of his mind, their first meeting gone and the interactions that followed after begin to as well.

Breath hitching, Jimin's voice wobbles as he continues, "You'll forget I ever existed, your life will continue as it always has...one without me. I want you to be happy and to live everyday just as you would. And one day I'll come back and if you still want me. If you feel like something-someone is missing then you'll remember but for now you need to forget ever meeting me. I need you to forget you love me."

As glazed over brown eyes stare ahead, Jimin quietly commands, "Go back to sleep."

Staring down at the male sleeping in his hold Jimin lets out a sob. Tears streaming down his cheeks as he lowers Taehyung back onto bed. Taking everything in from the long dark lashes, pouted lips, and gentle nature from his mate Jimin reluctantly moves away. Pressing a kiss to the crown of Taehyung's head his words are a mere whisper, the longing clear,"I love you."

Tucking the younger in he forces himself to walk away. Once he's outside the apartment, he leaves behind his heart as he lets the rogue vampire in him free.  The  blue  eyes vanishing as red eyes remain. Fangs descending and veins appearing, the hiss that escapes past his lips is feral.
