ROWOON'S P.O.V. “W-What?” She stopped crying for a second and looked at me with a shocked expression, her teary eyes widen in shock. I meant what I said earlier, I'm not joking; She needs to move out of here before anything more dangerous happens. “You will move out of this house and you'll move into mine, it's for your own safety Irene. You can't stay here and I will never let you" I said seriously, giving her a sign that I'm not joking anything. She was still frozen and shocked in her place, she only processed everything when I nudged her. She lets me go and gave a space between us two, “It's alright, I'm fine here”  I knew completely that it was a lie, from what I saw earlier how can you say you're fine here when your own father is beating the hell out of you with a metal pole! “You are not. How could you say that when your own father is abusing you? Is it alright for you to be abused by him always?” I'm just worried for you, why can’t you see that? She wiped her tears and fixed her appearance then she shook her head, “I'm fine, I can just call BoGum. He can take care of me" Yeah, right. I scoffed, “Why are you seeking for BoGum when I'm here already to help? You can’t even contact him; You don’t even know where he is!” Can’t she appreciate my help? I almost got my life killed over here! She sighed. “I hope I'm not sending you the wrong signal here, RoWoon. Remember, I'm taken; I have a boyfriend here which is BoGum. He has the most right to take care of me, I appreciate your help but I think BoGum is the one who should help me. I don’t want him to start another fight with you" She calmly said, trying not to offend me. I felt something breaking and my chest tightens once again, that’s my fault anyways; I'm putting malicious to everything she does. My only goal is to help her escape from this hell hole. I heard her sigh and merely nodded, I was surprised and threw my hands up to celebrate; But again, I forgot my left arm was broken and now I'm in pain. I held tightly on my left arm,  I held my left arm tightly, trying to conquer the pain. My teeth is clenched and I could really feel the harsh pain now; The pain is slowly kicking in. “You okay? Don't get too excited, your left arm is broken and you’re forehead is bleeding. Come on, let's go to room; I'll treat you there" She went to my right side—Knowing that my left arm is injured—She wrapped my right arm around her shoulder and helped me stand up. “I'm fine, I can walk by myself" I don’t want to be a burden. “You are not. I'll help you, whether you like it or not" She seriously said, you don’t want to see an angry Irene Bae; It’s more worse than my cousins. I was about to object but I saw her straight up glaring at me, I quickly bowed my head and let her help me; I felt intimidated. We were slowly walking up the stairs and to her room, she let me sit on her bed and ordered me to stay put while she get the first aid kit from the bathroom. I used this time to take my phone out of my pocket and texted someone, to be more specific, SooYoung. [Little Satan]

Sent 7:52 I put my phone into sleep zone and waited for Irene to come back, never really expected that she's getting abused; It doesn’t show. She’s good at hiding her feelings, I never expected that the smiling president at school is living this hell. I bet BoGum doesn’t know what happening here, he doesn’t even care for her in the first place. All he cares about is his , what kind of man would replace a caring and loving girlfriend? Well, I wouldn't, it's my wish to have someone that could listen to my problems, help me through hard times, care for me and love me with all her heart. I want a person that will never leave my side. I heard a door close, making me wake up from my monologue, I looked up and saw Irene walking out of the bathroom with the first aid kit in her hands. “Sorry if I kept you waiting” She apologizes. She likes apologizing even if it’s not her fault. “It’s fine. Not your fault anyways" I smiled. She sat on the bed, legs crossed and facing towards me, she placed the first aid kit on her side and ordered me to sit the same way she’s sitting. I followed and now we are facing each other, none of us spoke as she opened the kit and I followed her every movement. She then took out a antibiotic ointment, a bag of cotton balls and a gauze dressing.  She looked at me while I did the same thing, we just looked at each other. I want to look away but something in her eyes kept dragging me in, it's like a pool that’s drowning me. So cliché, right? 'It was like time stopped moving as they kept their gaze on each other’s eye, drowning in them'  Great, we have a narrator!  Why do I keep hearing voices whenever something happens between us two?? It’s like the voice only speaks whenever I make contact with Irene. And why is that?? I'm waiting for her to look away but she didn’t even blink once, what surprises me is I still haven’t looked away. The both of us kept silent and just looked at each other’s eyes, seeing the hidden universe in it. We kept the eye contact for a few minutes until my eyes widen, Princess JooHyun??? I'm hallucinating once again!! The girl in front of me changed it’s appearance, she was dressed in an old fashion way and you can easily tell she’s not from the modern world. “J-JooHyun??” I saw her eyebrows knit together in a confused manner. “Who’s JooHyun?” And like my mind is playing games with me, the REAL Irene was once again in front of me. Can she stop appearing?? SeulGi, come get your girl here!! I shook my head and said that my mouth accidentally slipped my cousin’s name, what a great alibi!! “Okay...” I'm sure she’s weirded out because of the sudden name drop. I'm also sure that she’s not contented on my alibi, she’s smart enough too know that I'm lying. She took out a piece of cotton ball from the bag and poured the antibiotic ointment on it. With the cotton ball in her hands, she went closer making me astonished by the sudden movement, she was too close to the point we're only an inch away. “Stay still. It may hurt a little" She raised her head, trying to see where the wound was. I was staring at her face, mesmerized by her beautiful features; When did she look so beautiful??? Say what??? Her onyx eyes that holds the universe in it, her cute nose and her small but pinkish lips that I want to...Okay, Stop!! Let’s now stop there, *awkward laugh* I look like a creep now. A sudden rush of pain made me jump, I winced in pain and tried to the touch the wound but a hand stopped me. “Don't touch it” Like her eyes hypnotized me, I nodded and slowly lowered my hand; Let her do the work. “Sorry about that, I'll be more gentle now" She went back to her original position and gently patted the cotton ball on the cut. I balled my hand into a fist and bit my lip, trying to endure the pain and trying so hard not to scream. “Done” I finally loosened up and let out all the air that I didn’t know I was keeping, I watched her next movement. She took the gauze dressing and covered my wound with it, she finally leaned back and created some space between us as she placed all the materials she used back into the kit. “SooYoung will fetch us here, pack your things because she’ll be here any minute. I'll help you" I was ready to stand up but she gently pushed me on the bed. “Don't, rest for a minute, you’re still in miserable state. I can pack my things alone” I was lying on her bed when she stood up and went inside the bathroom to return the first aid kit, not long after, she exited the bathroom and started packing her things inside a luggage. I didn’t notice that my eyes are slowly closing and I slowly drifted into my fantasy world. °°°°
I opened my eyes and saw that I'm once again in a garden, many types of plants and trees are surrounding me; My whole surroundings were filled with the colour green. I'm truly in a garden and if I'm in a garden, that means I'm dreaming. Another nightmare! “JeongSin-ah, JeongSu-ah. Don’t go too far!” I heard a woman’s voice shout two unfamiliar names. JeongSin? JeongSu?
I slowly walked out of my hiding spot, two kids were running around in this spacious garden while a woman—I think a lady servant—was sitting on the same bench were JooHyun and SeulGi sat on my past dream. Wait, is this the sons of JooHyun?!  The two boys were giggling and laughing while chasing each other around the garden, they look so happy. Their age ranges from 4-6 years old if I'm not mistaking, and their height is about my waist level. The two of them caught my attention, one of them looked like JooHyun and one of them looked like SeulGi. These boys are their sons?! It can actually be possible since something happened between the two. “Eomma! Appa!” The two boys ran towards me and they went through me, literally. I turned around and saw a man carrying the boy that looked like JooHyun while the boy that looked like SeulGi hugged the woman who was beside the man. “Good Afternoon, your highness” The lady servant greeted and bowed to the newly comers. The King and The Queen. I looked at the family in front of me, all of them were smiling and they express what true happiness means. The happy family sat on the bench and the servant bid her goodbye to let them have some private time. Both of the boys were on their parents lap, “Appa, you said JeongSin and I were born on the same day but why do we look different?” The boy that looked like Irene asked their father. Perhaps fraternal twins?? The king and the queen looked at each other before the king decided to speak up, “The both of you are too young to know advanced information, let’s us wait until the both of you get to the right age then we’ll tell you the real reason why"  They’re hiding something. The scene changed within my sight and now, I'm in the throne room. I was in front and a lot of people was gathered in front of me like there was an important event that was happening. “The both of you had come to the right age, it’s now the time to know who will be crowned as the next king of Goguryeo...” I looked beside me and saw the king and the queen sitting on their respective seats while a man was beside the king with a scroll in his hand, the high priest I guess. “After the long years of training and hard work of proving who is worthy, the King has finally made a decision on who will be his heir. Shall it be Prince JeongSu, who has proven to us his great skills in sword fighting and by the means of combative? Or shall it be Prince JeongSin, who has proven to us his great skills in logic and strategy and by the means of intelligence? Who shall be the crowned prince?” One of the servants handed the king his sword and stood up from his throne. “Give hail to the King of Goguryeo" The crowd all bowed down and the two princes kneeled down with their heads hung low. “The time had finally came where I pass down my title to one of the princes in front of me. I have seen their hard work to prove them self worthy of the crown. But only one must be crowned as the next king...”  “That’s me" JeongSu boastfully mumbled. What a jerk. “Not only his hard work that made me decided that he’s worthy, but also his great and kind heart to his people. A king shall be a good listener for he shall listen to what his people request. A king shall be humble for he is crowned not to serve himself but his people. A king shall be a good role model for his people looks up to him. All I have mentioned is visible in him...” I think I know who is the crowned prince. I'm betting on JeongSin. “Let the Gods above bless you and guide you to be a great King for your people. I will give you this crown to let you continue the hard work I did to make this Kingdom beautiful. I announce Prince JeongSin as the crowned prince, the next king of Goguryeo" The king patted the prince's shoulder with his sword, honouring him as the crowned prince.
