ROWOON'S P.O.V. 7 months left... The start of the twilight season, it’s finally the month where you can drink your hot chocolate and play in the snow. Christmas is also approaching fast, it’s also the season where Christmas carols are played in some stores and people is starting to decorate their house; To live the Christmas spirit. If Christmas is approaching fast, our winter break is also approaching fast. We can finally relax and free our minds from our hectic senior lives. The first week of December had already passed and now, I'm walking the long hallways of our school with my cousin and her girlfriend beside me. I'm always the third-wheel as usual. “Do you already have a date for the Senior Ball?” Krystal asked, hinting something which I don’t have any idea with because I'm dense. Just kidding...maybe not(?) Okay, that Ball is months away like next year! I'm not that excited since like what Krystal said, I don’t have a date. “Why are you so excited for that? I know you have a girlfriend, okay? I know I'm the single one but please stop asking me about my love life, I know I'm lonely. So please stop because I'm getting uncomfortable” I shushed her. I heard her giggling, making me look at her like she’s some kind of mental person. “What’s even funny?” I asked eyebrows knitted together. “I'm just asking if you have a date or not. Just yes or no. I'm not talking about your love life and I don't care about that, I'm just asking because I know someone you could go with” And who is that someone who wants to go with me? Like who wants to go with a dumb person, right? I'm not special, I look average, heck, I don’t even label myself as pretty and second, I'm not that smart, all my grades are D's and F's; I can’t even get a C, B or an A! Third, I'm not humorous, I'm called as a no-jam for nothing. And last and only, I still have one person in mind and heart. “And who's that dumb person, that gets interested in me?”  “Park JiMin, he’s asking for my help to make you say yes" I almost choked on nothing, Park JiMin?! “As in Park JiMin from class 12-1?! As in Park freaking Chim Chim, my elementary crush?!” I asked, eyes widen still can’t believe what Krystal said. I don’t what to say, don’t get me wrong, JiMin is a good-looking guy with a cute smile; Anyone would like him. He screams perfection; Handsome, Cute, y, Smart, Well-built, Charming and many other more. For now, let’s stop complimenting my ex-crush and also my childhood friend. “Yep as in your childhood friend and also the first and last boy you ever loved. He asked me if you want to be his date"  “You told him about my preference, right?”   “Let me rephrase what I had just said, he asked me if you can consider him to be your date" She handed me her phone and I looked at her confused; Confused on why she’s handing me her phone. “You read it...” My eyes shifted to her phone's screen and saw that it was their conversation. I read it quietly and I was shocked on what I read... “JiMin had a crush on me ever since we were kids?!” I asked Krystal, almost shouting due to shock. Destiny is really playful sometimes, people doesn’t really get its point and know where it is leading our life; That’s why I hardly believe in that. “I guess so, he just said that to me like last night. So what do you think, you up with this?” Now that I think about it...I think it’s okay to give it a try, nothing to lose anyways. Like I had a crush on him before and also the fact that we were childhood friends made me agree to this thing, he’s a good guy and I'm sure of it. How could a little mochi turn bad? “Great, I'll tell him the good news. I'll gave him your number as well, maybe you want to talk and catch up with some things" I just nodded and bring my gaze upfront, and one person caught my eyes... Did she just coloured her hair to brown?! She even had her bangs back, just like before... We made eye contact and I smiled at her which she gave me a smile back as well, “Go ahead first, I'll catch up later" I gave a tap on Krystal's shoulder and quickly went up to approach the girl. Krystal held my wrist and said something to me which made me lose my smile, “Just...Just go, SooJung. I don’t want to remember it, please stop me from making me remember. Please...” She sighed before letting go of my wrist. She looked at me and I can see that she was full of concern for me, she's just concern for me but there is nothing to be worried about. That was years ago and I know I'm ready to let her go and find my true happiness. “You need to remember it and accept it, treat it as a lesson. Just don’t do the same thing like before" I nodded and gave her a reassuring smile. “Don’t worry, I know what I'm doing now"  °°°
“Hey, Irene. Nice hair” I went up to the person who I smiled to and complimented her for her change in appearance. If you’re curious about our relationship, I can say it’s starting to get better and we’re technically friends now. Great for us then but not... I'm glad that we became friends after a long time of bickering and hating each other, we finally had peace. And the rooftop incident, it had been 5 weeks since that incident happened and in that 5 weeks, we became closer. About BoGum, I haven’t seen him still, he just disappeared and Irene doesn’t have an idea where he is. We have no clue where he is for now. “Thanks, you're the first one that noticed so I appreciate it, honestly” An awkward silence filled the air. We were just standing awkwardly in front of each other, my eyes darted on the floor while putting my hand behind my neck and my body started swaying. The two of us didn’t bother to break the silence, until I finally had enough and decided to clear my throat. She looked at me and I started panicking, what should I say?! “So what—RoWoon!” I turned around at the mention of my name and saw a familiar figure running towards me. The person quickly hugged me which surprised me, “Thank you for giving me a chance, Won-ah! I'll prove myself to you" A chance?! What is he talking about?! I looked around and saw a grinning Krystal hiding behind a corner, What did this girl say to him?! He lets go of me and showed me his famous eye-smile, that same eye-smile that made him stand out from the rest. “No problem, Chim Chim. We are friends, right?” “And we can be more than just friends, someday" He winked at me and I widen my eyes; Boy, you just chose the wrong person! I slapped his arm, acting like I got flustered from what he said “Stop it, Park JiMin. You and your sweet mouth!”  He acted like he got hurt but he turned out laughing afterwards, I also laughed with him because of his silliness. We were both laughing until we heard a fake cough, I forgot someone is still here... “Do you need something else? Because if you don’t, I'll go now” If I don’t know her, I'll think she’s jealous. Too bad, I know her. Why would she be jealous? When I'm just nothing to her? But it makes me feel like I'm...special? Her tone of voice changed into a cold and y one, her facial expressions changed to an unreadable one. “I didn’t see you there, Irene. Where’s BoGum by the way? I haven’t seen him in class for about 5 weeks now" JiMin asked while trying to look for a specific person who is always by Irene's side.  BoGum is always beside Irene everywhere she goes, he’s like her personal bodyguard. If BoGum was present for the past 5 weeks, I'll be sure Irene and I wouldn’t be close until now. He doesn’t like me getting near her girl because of a reason. “Thank you for finally noticing me, JiMin. And about BoGum, I also don’t have an idea where he is, he's not answering my calls and I'm worried for him" Well, special my . I felt my chest tightening when I saw how worried she looks, I forgot, she has a boyfriend; She's taken. Looking at her worried expression pains me somehow, but she’s doing nothing wrong; She’s just worrying for her boyfriend. But it still pains me, because I know BoGum is cheating behind her back without her having any clue; She’s just wasting her time worrying over her boyfriend who isn’t thinking about her at this moment. She doesn't deserve him, she deserves someone better. A loving boyfriend and a worth fighting for... Someone who can fight for her like how she fights for him, and a person who can pay back her love equally. And did I forgot to mention, JiMin is one of BoGum's friend. That’s why I grew distant from JiMin because he’s always with BoGum, he chose him over me; His childhood friend. JiMin also knew what happened in middle school or more likely, in 7th grade.  What I can say is I'm first. I liked her first but she still chose him, because 2 bigger than 1. Even though I was first, he was more perfect than I was. She still thinks he’s perfect, she doesn’t have a single clue that he's cheating behind her back; She's stuck in a delusion that he wouldn't do such a thing because he’s perfect. Too perfect. She really have the same faith with Irene *Note Sarcasm* They both got cheated on because they think their boyfriends wouldn’t do such a thing, which in fact they are already doing; Cheating.  They really share the same brain cells... *Note Sarcasm* “Oh...I see” I looked at JiMin suspiciously as I noticed her weird body gesture, he knows something. He looked at me and I raised an eyebrow which gains me a shrug from him, he’s acting innocent. Something’s up and I need to know what it is. I wrapped my arms around his waist and looked at Irene, she was looking at my arm that was wrapped around his waist. I think she felt my gaze that’s why she shifted her gaze to me and I automatically, averted my gaze. “Okay then. We need to go now, Irene, we need to talk about something IMPORTANT. Right, JiMin?” I pinched his waist to send him a signal. He flinched a bit and was about to complain when I pinched a bit harder than before, and this time he finally gets my signal. “Right, JiMin?” “Y-Yes, we n-need to go now. Bye, Irene" I quickly dragged him away from Irene and finally lets him go when we rounded a corner. I peeked out of the corner and saw Irene walking away in another direction, I turned back to JiMin and saw him rubbing his side. Guess I pinched too hard. “What the hell was that for?!”  “You know something, don't you?” He froze, I looked at him with a scary aura; An aura that a Park JiMin hasn’t seen before. His acting suspicious, he can’t even look at my eyes; He's hiding something and I know it’s a big deal. “W-What do you mean?”  “You saw BoGum, didn’t you?” He was once again frozen and his mouth was zipped tight. He’s not a good liar, he’s stuttering and his body is tensed; We weren’t childhood friends for nothing “Of course not!” His body gesture betrayed him once again. “Don't try to make me a fool, Park JiMin. I know you’re lying, by your body gesture I can truly say you're lying. First, you stutter and your body becomes tense and second, you get all defensive, you’re voice becomes deep and you raise your chin. I'm your childhood friend, I know you more than you know yourself" I said with a straight face. And he knows that I'm serious whenever I make that face, he knows that I'm not horsing around anymore. “So stop playing with me" He let out a big sigh and swept his hair backwards, he’s getting serious know. He finally put his joking aside and gave me the answer I wanted to hear... “He's just in his club house, so he's actually not missing? He’s just intentionally not going to school?” I scoffed, What a legend really! “Yep, that’s why I'm curious if Irene knew about it but unfortunately, she doesn't. She doesn’t even have a single clue what BoGum is doing behind her back, I feel sympathy for her" JiMin said sadly, so he knows. He knows what his friend is doing but he still kept quiet? I couldn’t blame him, I even did the same thing. “I thought he loved Irene?! Then why is he cheating behind her back?!”  I asked frustrated. JiMin looked at me for a split second before he shook his head. “Ya, what's wrong?”  “BoGum didn’t really loved Irene,
